The vehicle has nearly 200,000 miles on it and has been overheated multiple times. Doing any repair to the vehicle outside of replacing the engine at this point could be wasted effort and money. We want to facilitate the most efficient fix and replacing the engine would be the best option. Because you're a valued customer, we discounted an engine replacement by several thousand dollars to assist you. How can we better serve you?

Based on prior issues that have been brought about in the same light it is amazing how someone can point out how "in writing" this is what you signed your name too. When in reality know it was never explained in the same capacity but when you are told doesn't matter "I am not paying for the engine". The thing is not looking for any handouts, just being honest and owning up to what was told to you. Fact yes it does have high mileage but what should matter is it was done correctly, saying it has been a year and 40,000 miles is that as good as your work is?

If the original repairs were not done correctly, the vehicle would not have gone 40,000 miles. Failure can occur at any point in a vehicle's life and the higher the mileage, the higher probability of those failures. The fact that the failure occurs 40,000 miles after a repair doesn't mean the original repair is at fault. As a courtesy, we cut the cost of the engine replacement in half to assist with this repair.
