Having checked out the Paul Miller Honda, West Caldwell pre-owned sight and narrowing the selection down to three choices we made an appointment and headed to the dealership. Never having bought a used car before I was hesitant about committing to this sort of purchase. Upon arriving Jose Velasquez showed us our selections and allowed us to test drive each one. This guy KNOWS his stuff! He had CARFAX on hand and readily and thoroughly answered all our questions. He even had no qualms about pointing out any, although minor, scrathes on the vehicles--an incidental issue that all purchasers of used cars ought to expect, since what matters most is the vehicle's performance. His patience and our's paid off as we decided to make a purchase. Given that we arrived late, 5-ish and the dealership closes at 6PM we were nervous that we would have to wait until the following business day; however, he efficently got the paper work together and escorted us to the financing personnel. Three months later, we have had no problems with our Honda Pilot and are soooo happy that we made the buy. Thanks Jose! I would like to publicly commend Jose Velasquez for the excellent service he provided my grandmother and I during my visit to Paul Miller Honda. I started to feel hopeless but Jose went above and beyond his duties in order to help find what was best for me. In my opinion, the level of service he provided exceeded all my expectations. I have never before written a review like this, however in this case I was so impressed by the support and service provided by Jose that I felt compelled to go on record with my praise. In an era where exceptional one-to-one customer service has virtually disappeared, the work Jose has done should be held up as an example for others to try to emulate. What particularly impressed me about the level of service provided was that there were was no rush to make a sale. It appears that it was simply his commitment to excellence in customer service and support that motivated him to always go the extra mile. I decided to lease a Honda Civic and I couldn't be happier. We recently purchased a used Honda Pilot from Jose Velasquez. He is a very knowledgable and friendly person. He was a real gentleman..very personalbe; not pushy; very knowledgeable; believing a car salesperson. However, I was very impresses with Lou Gentile. Lou has always been very helpful. He is knowledgeable on all aspects of the car I (we) were looking at, and the final contract(s) were always as negotiated - no last minute surprises. I have owned or leased three previous Accords. When speaking with Lou Gentile several weeks before my current lease was due, he was proactive in getting me the car I wanted.
