2016 CRV Touring Where do I begin. I'd like to first begin by saying that I am also to blame for my experience. I had the choice to leave and instead stayed and wanted Where do I begin. I'd like to first begin by saying that I am also to blame for my experience. I had the choice to leave and instead stayed and wanted to get it over with. I should have left and taken my business somewhere else. I am someone who in the past 3 months spent close to 80K on Honda vehicles (a loyal customer) and for some reason I thought this would carry weight. Now, on to my story... I bought a 2016 Honda CRV Touring. Having bought other Touring vehicles from Honda, I made the HUGE mistake of thinking that my vehicle would "fully loaded"; specifically, remote starter and blind spot monitor (2 years ago, I had bought a brand new 2017 CRV Touring for my mother, 2 years ago I leased a 2017 CRV for my wife; 2 months ago bought a 2020 Honda Pilot Touring for my wife, now, my own 2016). When I had looked at the 2016 description in the Honda Website (to be fair NOT the Paul Miller's but the general Honda website), it described the touring as having blind spot monitor on the 2016 Touring (comes with Honda Sensing), therefore I did not even ask when I test drove it, as I know you have enable it manually. Come to find out, my Touring CRV does not have it, so this was a huge letdown. For the remote starter, given my history with the brand, my 4th Touring or above vehicle, I asked the Used Car Sales general manager for a quote on the remote starter and he did NOT want to sell it to me, just because I had asked for a reduction based on my assumptions (I already stablished that I was also at fault). I had also asked him about the rubber mats for the CRV and he went on a tangent still about the remote starter and 3rd party vendors. He started to send me to 3rd party mechanics because it would be "cheaper". I kept on insisting that I just didn't want it to be "cheaper" but rather I would want it done RIGHT by the dealership with all its warranties and he still refused to give me the information. Even went as far to tell me that a 2016 Honda models DO NOT have a remote starter (a claim I found shocking given that I could have sworn I had seen vehicles from earlier years with the feature - Maybe I am wrong?). Instead, just told me that someone else would call me, however, the call never came. I really regret having bought my car there and instead should have gone to either Madison Honda as they would at least try to listen to my concerns and try to accommodate me based on my requests. The following day, I went to Madison Honda and had them install the Original Honda remote starter for $851. Ironically, when I went to Madison Honda, I was told that there is Factory Made Honda Remote starter, after the Used Car Sales Manager told me that there wasn’t one for 2016 models, so I am still confused). I should have known the appointment would go like this because, when I first got there, he had me wait close to 10 minutes to see me, yet I had been walking around and had seen him surfing the net. Didn't matter that I gave him more business and purchased the extended warranty from them, but he just did not want to deal with me. Let's just say that, obviously I love the car, but HATED my experience in your dealership. I am an account based in Parsippany, and will make sure my coworkers know about my experience. I am very disappointed. OH! I almost forgot! When I drove off the lot with my CRV, about .25 miles down the road, the "EMPTY" light came on. They did not put any gas in the car. When I asked the Used Car Sales Manager about this, he said this was normal. Its honestly the first time I ever see or hear this. It was my understanding that dealers USUALLY give you a FULL tank of gas for your business, but I did not even get that. More
