I went to this dealership because it was recommended from both a friend and a family member. Initial experience was positive. I found a Jeep I was interested in. Took it for a test drive and decided I wante both a friend and a family member. Initial experience was positive. I found a Jeep I was interested in. Took it for a test drive and decided I wanted to finance it and use my 2000 Nissan as a trade in. I gave all my info to them and was initially told they could not find a credit score on me. Ok..no problem. They say they will work on it and get back to me by the next day. 2 1/2 weeks pass and not only does Kenny never call, I have to call him to find out what's going on. He then assures me that he is "still working on it". He then promises me a call the following morning. The call never came. I allow 2 more days and still nothing. So i call again. No response. Finally..a voicemail telling me that the Jeep wasn't gonna work BUT they have another car in mind and they would work on the financing. I never heard from them again. This was in mid October. Today is December 21st. I knew going into this car buying process that my credit was sub par. Nobodys fault but my own. If the dealership could not find a way to finance me...I understand. My only problem was the fact that I was told NUMEROUS times..."I'll get back to you tomorrow" but he never did. I am disgusted with the experience and the franchise itself. Bad business at it's best. Had I walked in there with a fat checkbook or a newer trade, I can guarentee I would've been called back. I have since been to numerous dealerships looking for the best car for me. Found it and was financed. Not one of them treated me anything like Paul Masse did. Just brushed me off like I was nobody. I have been in customer service all my life and this is by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Disgusted. The good news is word of mouth is everything. People read reviews. People read blogs. This review is not enough for me. Taking it to the top. Lastly...I suggest Matthew Lafazia (sales manager) has an idea of the kind of business his "sales people" are running for him. But then again...he may just be the ringleader. From the moment I stepped onto the lot I experienced fantastic customer service. Katie was incredibly helpful and friendly, while giving me the space I needed to make my own decisions. Matthew provided the same fantastic service when I went to test drive. They both answered every question I had and got me all the information I needed. I never felt like there was pressure for me to make a decision or to make it quickly. They were incredibly reasonable with negotiating prices without trying to add on hidden fees or withold any information until the end. Everything was very transparent and straightforward. I completed all the paperwork with Stacey and she explained every form slowly and so that I would understand. After purchasing the car, Katie spent a great deal of time explaining all of the controls and answering even more of my questions. She has since checked in to make sure everything is okay and to answer any more questions I might have come up with. Paul Masse Chevrolet South made my car buying experience actually enjoyable; it was relaxed and straightforward. I am beyond overjoyed that I chose them and will continue to trust them with my vehicle. More
Went to the dealership with a price on a particular vehicle that I wanted to see. Met with Katie in sales, who was pleasant and professional. I am not easy to please to the point of I don't take my vehicles anywhere for auto maintenance major or minor, I do it all myself as a result of bad experiences with other dealerships. This is the second new car I have purchased from them, from their sales staff to their service department everything is top notch. Kenny Gillis was the best salesman and I can honestly say my wife would not have bought the car from anyone else. He answered all our questions, knew the cars inside and out and most of all was friendly and low pressure which was what made the sale for my wife. He even went out of his way to find my wife the exact car she wanted even after she changed her mind twice about the interior colors, all for no charge. The price was stellar with the Kenny offering us discounts for credit union members and USAA without me even asking. In my honest opinion this dealer should be a certified USAA dealer they are so good. I have had my old sports car worked on here (2010 Camaro 2SS) and even with some of my "bolt on" modifications they took care of the car no questions asked and made sure it was fixed right before it left the service department. Paul Masse gets a big 5 stars, my wife and I are totally satisfied with our experience! Thanks Kenny! More
