I was still comparing different vehicle option and Aeriel helped walk me through the process and made me feel very comfortable and was very helpful scheduling my appointment. She came to meet me at the door and introduced me to Tony who was very helpful at not only helping me find my dream car but working with the General Manager Charles to get me approved on the car and Ray who helped me find a service package that was affordable. I would recommend this dealership to everyone. More

Unfortunately, we were left sitting for almost 2 hours waiting on a quote, because the sales manager was in a managers meeting. When he got out of his meeting, we heard him berating an employee in his office & was very loud and using profanity. We should have walked out at this point! They did not have the vehicle we were looking for, I was asked by Arielle why I thought I needed that! Really, why wouldn't I get what I want? I'm the customer, if anything you should be up selling me, not trying to sell something I did not want. By this time we had become aggravated & Could hear Charles Schmitt shouting & telling Tony this is a good deal they should take the deal, Etc. at this point we got up and approached his office. He was hostile towards us & wanted me to buy something right then. How could I when he didn't have what we wanted? I asked him to do a search and send me the info. I never heard back, I called several times over the course of the week. Arielle told me Charles had found something & she needed a $5,000! I said that seems high, but can you email me an agreement with the build sheet on the vehicle you had located & she replied why? I'm telling you exactly what it is! Wow! Never received anything from her. After hounding Tony for an answer, he finally told me that Charles said the deal is off! He would not give us one penny off of MSRP, all because we decided to sell a vehicle outright instead of trading it to you??? Seriously, shouldn't you be able to re-vamp a deal? It costs $0.00 to be a decent human being, and Charles Schmitt, that is something you will never be able to afford!!!!!! More
A good to bad to excellent experience. I stopped by the dealership looking for a used car that they advertised as excellent shape, and like new. They also stated that they prided themselves in customer service. So to make a long story short we purchased the 1999 Lexus rx300. When we left the dealership on the 14 of feb the power antenna just came all the way out, so we took it right back to the dealer and they stated that they can;t do anything about it. This was something i would have to eat myself. Next i took the car to discount tires to see about putting insurance on the tires, but to my surprise i found out 3 of the tires needed to be replaced and the fourth one would soon fail to. I was shocked because the dealership promised they would not sell a car on the lot with tires lower than 50 percent treadwear. I went back to the dealership upset now becaused i signed a as is deal. Eric the used car manager said that he could not do anything for me. What happen to the great customer service i was once promised. Here it comes Eric stated that they do not like unhappy customers and if i liked he would refund the purchase price of the car. That its not about the sale but making the customer happy. Then he asked me what did i want to do. I told Eric that showed alot about the dealership and i was willing to settle the tire problem with at least 150 dollars toward a set of four tires. Eric said he would check and see what he could do. Eric not only made good on doing something he totally surprised me, he said they would put 4 new not used tires on my suv. This dealership went above and beyond what i expected they are a 5 star dealership with service and sales even the receptionist is five star My salesman name was jadriene i might be spelling it wrong ,but everyone turned a bad situation into an excellent day.IN the future this is the dealership for me, i will tell everyone i know looking to buy to go to bermans infiniti. JOb well done guys More

Had the car for a couple of days and noticed a gouge in the rear tire and returned to the dealership where the (GM) Charles Schmitt said he would change it out with a new tire. I returned as of today 2/8/2015 because it was the most convenient time for me. The all of service staff (service, salesmen, mechanics, finance manager, general manager) was friendly and acknowledge my presence even when I wasn't looking at them, even the mechanics were asking me how I was doing. Charles Schmitt has been a straight shooter with me since I first walked in the door and attentive every time he past letting me know how far along they were on the service. Even had the car washed and I said that was not necessary because it was raining out side but Charles said he loves clean cars. I have to point out I usually see staff put on seat cover and floor sheets to protect from any stains and dirt they may track in but it was the first time I've ever seen a shop put steering wheel plastic covers. That was a very nice touch of service quality to protect the interior. More
Low pressure sales compared to other dealers I have been to Was in the market for a newer nicer work car so a salesman Mike was very friendly and attentive setting up over 6 different test drives. Charles Schmi Was in the market for a newer nicer work car so a salesman Mike was very friendly and attentive setting up over 6 different test drives. Charles Schmitt (General Manager) introduced himself and explained how competitive their dealership is compared to others interns of sales and service and that he has the ability to get any car I'm looking for. After researching they had the better deals showing on Car Gurus and Trucar. I always went to Team Honda for service on an Odyssey I own for example and their routine service prices were on par with theirs. Charles suggested I try the Nissan Maxima since I was looking for a sedan since I wasn't happy with the handling & ride of the G35x,Acura TL, Taurus SEL, & Buick CXS, I never considered a Nissan. But I test drove the Maxima Special Edition and Charles was not kidding about the handling and ride (SWEET!), to top it off it was still under factory warranty. After a bringing the car home I noticed a gouge out of one of my tires. I returned and to speak with someone and the mechanic and a sales manager (Eric) said it was a cosmetic and its not problem. Charles came by looked at it once and said "replace it". Now that whats I call Infiniti standard. I believe the sales manager and mechanic should set their standard at the same level as Charles but its just my personal opinion. I plan on returning this week to get the tire replaced I will review how the service is since sales and service are two different entities. Robert Bush Hobart,IN More
USED CAR BUYERS BEWARE!! I called this dealership on a Friday afternoon and spoke with Aerial (along with GM Charles in the background). I discussed the car I was looking at I called this dealership on a Friday afternoon and spoke with Aerial (along with GM Charles in the background). I discussed the car I was looking at along with the price. I also discussed the car I was trading in. So feeling pretty good that a deal could be done, I scheduled a 9am appt on Saturday. I drove 2hrs to get to the dealership. I was kindly greeted by Larry who took care of me and asked what car I was looking at. He left to pull the car around and in the meantime I kept hearing someone speaking very loud and using profanity. It was Charles, the GM. Very unprofessional. I might expect that kind of language at a buy-here pay-here dealership, but not an Infiniti dealership. So Larry and I go on a test drive. During the test drive Larry informs me that there is a $995 fee they charge on all used cars for "service/reconditioning". I asked if that was included in the price they advertised online and he said no. You add the $995 to the online price. I could believe it. I was not upset with Larry, but upset with Aerial and Charles because they should have disclosed that the day before. I wouldn't have wasted 4 + hours of my day. Full disclosure, Charles was willing to waive that fee, but at this point I wondered what else weren't they disclosing to me. I would not recommend this dealership and Charles will cost them clients using bait and switch tactics; however, if you have a chance to work with Larry Cutt outside of this dealership, I would highly recommend it. He is a true professional and gentleman. More
BEST EVER Spoke with the internet manager and drove from Plainfield, Illinois. I was promised a 2015 QX60 with 2102 miles. Awesome Experience! Charles and Eric thumbs up! Berman's in Merrillville is a breath of fresh air. Unlike so many other dealers who play games, Charles the GM, Eric the salesman, and the other crew Berman's in Merrillville is a breath of fresh air. Unlike so many other dealers who play games, Charles the GM, Eric the salesman, and the other crew at Bermans I dealt with are professional, courteous, and they back up their talk with action. They don't mess around when they say they'll take care of you. I can tell you with confidence they absolutely will. I scoured the web for weeks trying to find the perfect 2012 QX56. I dealt with numerous dealerships by phone and email and I thought I found a great vehicle about 40 miles from me. Of course, that dealer was playing the game and changed the price on me. Needing to buy a vehicle by 12/31, I called Charles the GM on 12/29 and told him what I was looking for at the price I needed. He assured me he'd find it and he absolutely did. Not only did he find a great vehicle, but when it was delivered to his dealership he took one look at the tires and told me he'd replace them. He said he'd detail the vehicle and have it ready by Saturday, 1/2. I walked into the dealership to find the vehicle looking like a brand new vehicle. Charles stuck to his word and replaced all four tires with Bridgestones at no cost. He assured me that I'd love the way the vehicle was detailed and taken care of and he was right. Eric, the salesperson was extremely accommodating and took care of me like family. They gave me a great deal on this vehicle. These guys simply want to know what it will take to create a customer for life and they deliver. More

I researched certified preowned Infinitis for awhile in Chicago and the surrounding areas before getting referred to Merrillville's Infiniti. Charles the sales manager (as well as the other sales staff and finance manager) took great care and patience to get me into the "perfect" car at the best price with certification and an extended Infiniti bumper to bumper warranty. They even delivered the vehicle to my home in Chicago and kept in touch to make sure I was happy. The car is beautiful and both looks and feels like a brand new car. Honest, respectable, no nonsense dealership. Highly recommend! More
