Patriot Honda in Ardmore, Okla. , was deceptive in their advertising, charging $5,000 more when we offered to pay the asking price with cash. Last week, my wife and I were looking at , was deceptive in their advertising, charging $5,000 more when we offered to pay the asking price with cash. Last week, my wife and I were looking at the 2022 Subaru Ascent advertised on both Patriot Honda’s website as well as CarGurus. The asking price was $24,441 and the odometer was at 83,457 miles. I called the dealership and talked to a salesman and told him that our car was totaled in an accident and we were interested in their Subaru Ascent. I said if they could get it down to $24,000, we would drive the 2 hours to Patriot Honda to purchase the vehicle. The salesman didn’t have the authority to broker a deal so he had their internet sales manager call me back. He couldn’t budge on the price, but we decided to set an appointment anyway and made the trip down to Ardmore. The test drive went well and we were ready to make the purchase at the dealership’s asking price. While waiting for a sales representative to become available, I remembered that I had not actually looked at the odometer in the vehicle and went back out to verify that it was indeed close to the 83,457 miles advertised. To my astonishment, it was 88,011 miles, 4,554 miles more than what was posted. Then the real shocker, our salesman came back with a sheet of paper that at the top was written $29,441 or $5,000 more than advertised. Below that was written <$2,500> Trade-in, <$2,500> Financing, bringing the total to the advertised asking price. It was explained to us that the only way we could get the $24,441 deal was to offer a trade-in vehicle and agree to financing. After several minutes of discussion, the sales representative appeared and was introduced. Our salesman left at that point and we never saw him again. The sales rep once again went over the terms and explained that it was all covered in the fine print on their website. He finally removed the trade-in option since we had said from the very beginning that our car was totaled in an accident. We still would need to finance for at least 36 months to the advertised price. When I asked how much was the minimum amount of loan required, his reply was, “Well, we would like for you to finance the entire amount.” My wife and I were baffled at the deceptive advertising, the dishonest mileage, and the unreasonableness of a $2,500 surcharge if we paid with cash. We refused their “deal” and walked out. That same day we talked with one of our sons about our frustration and he reminded us of his similar experience when he purchased a used truck in Ardmore a couple of years back. It was advertised at $10,000, he talked on the phone with a salesman about the price, set up an appointment, made the 2-hour drive to Ardmore, test drove the truck, and was ready to pay their asking price in cash. They said the price was contingent on a trade-in and financing. He wasn’t about to take $400 for his car, to which they reluctantly acquiesced, but they insisted on the financing. He refused and asked to see the manager, and they finally agreed to the advertised $10,000. It was no shock to hear that it was Patriot Honda. This review is being written nearly two weeks after our experience. The 2022 Subaru Ascent is still available on Patriot Honda’s website and the price has dropped to $24,300. The mileage is still advertised at 83,457 miles if anyone is curious. More

They had cleaned it up underneath and put seal leak stuff in it. Then I was putting in a gallon of oil every week and a half. Yes, I said GALLON Then the electrical issues from who knows what, all gauges stop and start for no apparent reason. Shut don on highway 2 x's. At a flea event the previous owner came to me and said they switched out the radio which did not work in my truck, and they only gave her $1000 for it, and sold it to me for $7000. I am a female senior citizen who's dad served in WW11 and was a true patriot. My dad would be furious over this. Patriot Dealership??? I think not. I went to ask for them to fix the seal within the 2 weeks, ROFL, What a joke. The manager said it cost them over $3000 for oil change, detailing (trash under both seats),radiator flush (cheapest brand runs hot and will overheat running idle more than 5 minutes), on and on as I had to stand (no chairs in office) oh, and cruise control goes out of control (speeds up tacking 4 grand and way over set speed). scared me and heart started racing with 7 blockages. Everyone wants to know where I bought it and I tell them Patriot Honda, and they proceed to tell me one horror story after another. Patriot ... You do not deserve the honor for that name. You are a disgrace. More
