I went in and spoke with David. We test drove a 2017 Hyundai Elantra 6 speed manual. I liked the car and told him I wanted to work a deal. He went and talked to someone and came back and said it would be okay to just bring in a post dated check for the first and everything would be okay. So I agreed to that. I went to the back with the finance person and signed all the paperwork. I even signed a side note saying I would bring in a post dated check the next day. I was leaving and the finance manager came out to me saying he couldn’t let me leave without the down payment in their hands. Never mind what they had already told me and had me sign. They even told me to go to a few loan places in Pryor to get a loan for the down payment and pay it in full on the first. I left the dealership and went and talked to a few places but they wouldn’t loan that much to me bc I would be a new client. So I went back to the dealership and told them that. They said sorry but I couldn’t leave with the car until they had the down payment in hand. I told the sales person David that I couldn’t wait till the first for a vehicle and I would have to go somewhere else. I couldn’t believe that they went back on their word and the paperwork they had me sign. I found this very unprofessional. More
