I must say that Patrick Motors in Auburn has been wonderful. During my purchase the salesman was very helpful and patient with me with my questions and during the test drive. When it was time to bring my car in for the check ups the customer service has gone pretty much above and beyond in assisting me. It is always clean which makes it comfortable to me. They have always been on time with the estimated time for completing their service. Buying a volkswagon was the best decision. Going to Patrick Motors in Auburn has made the whole experience AWESOME. Thank you guys and Happy New Year. Keep up the good work More
The service tech at Patrick found and fixed the problem with my 2003 Jetta Sportwagon TDI after another dealer had the car for over 56 hours and may have charged me for something I may not have needed. I felt I was dealt with in an honest and forthright manner. I'd definitely go back to Patrick VW. More
We bought our current Volkswagen Jetta TDI at Patrick. The sales service was fine, nothing stellar. We bought a car. However the service experience has been less than stellar. Last service they forgot The sales service was fine, nothing stellar. We bought a car. However the service experience has been less than stellar. Last service they forgot to put the engine cover back on. Then for the 80k service, which costs over $400, the car breaks down 10 days later - in a dangerous intersection. The 80k service is supposed to be a thorough inspection. I had it towed to my local mechanic. And the timing belt is dried and cracked (they did mention the wear on the tires and wanted me to get new ones right away, but don't replace the belt!), the oil is dirty (really in 10 days), among other things he noticed - a mouse nest in the engine for example. And what did Volkswagen say - I have to go back to them or pay for everything myself. How do I know it will be properly repaired? I am sure there will be an explanation for all this - they aren't responsible. My mechanic has no reason to lie - he isn't getting paid for his time and doesn't get any money from doing the repairs - and knew this upfront. Oh and did I mention, we used to have our Passat serviced there. Within two weeks of a major service the Passat transmission blew up because of a hose they couldn't have inspected and known wouldlet go and cause major damage. They wouldn't provide the damaged hoses. And then for $6000 they replaced the Passat transmission - with a certified REBUILT transmission - but it took three tries. The first transmission was damaged on arrival, the second one they put in and gave me the car and reverse and one of the forward gears didn't work, so then they installed a third one. There are many possibilities: -Incompetence -Fraud - we do have an extended warranty which pays us back if we don't use it in a certain time - so if the belt had gone it would be a bigger repair cost -Laziness My recommendation when buying a car, particularly new, is make sure you know how the service is because to maintain warranty or not to have to double pay for service, you need to stay with that dealer. Went in to get warranty repairs, they either said warranty did not cover problems, or the problem was not there. Took to another dealership, they fixed everything under warranty. Treated absolutely h warranty did not cover problems, or the problem was not there. Took to another dealership, they fixed everything under warranty. Treated absolutely horribly by service rep, who was rude, all but screamed at me when I suggested these things are covered by warranty. Also set up an appointment on the phone a week before I brought in the car, however they had no record and I had to wait about 1/2 while they entered in the information I had already told on the phone before. They replaced a part, I had to ask 3 people to get the old part, as to confirm they had actually done the work they did. I had to pay for the work, but the original dealership I bought it from covered the cost of it, as it was supposed to be covered by warranty. More
Wrong oil and charges way to much for synth oil change. Left grease on door and seat. Left air filter off the car, didn't notice till we got home. I would not recommend this service center. Westborough Left grease on door and seat. Left air filter off the car, didn't notice till we got home. I would not recommend this service center. Westborough is another 10 miles away and much nicer. We will not bring our car there again. More
The yellow warning light went on in my dashboard, and I called my salesman, Michael Hardink, on a Saturday. Mr Hardink arranged for a quick appointment in the service department in the early part of the next week. The service department replaced a defective part and checked the entire system on the computer. Mr Best noticed that we were due for a state inspection, and suggested that we have it done while we were there. It was a great convenience! Mr Patrick and Mr Hardink were very helpful in pointing out new options for when our lease is completed, next year. More
How many times can one dealer rip you off with a misquoate?? The answer should be zero. Patrick Volkswagon of Aubrun MA has done it to us twice now. The first time was three hundred and now six h misquoate?? The answer should be zero. Patrick Volkswagon of Aubrun MA has done it to us twice now. I think when anyone gets service at a dealership, they expect to pay more, but you also expect to get more. For example, I own a Toyota also, and when I drive the extra 20 miles to IRA Toyota in Milford, expect to pay more, but you also expect to get more. For example, I own a Toyota also, and when I drive the extra 20 miles to IRA Toyota in Milford, I get great people, great service, an amazing waiting expierience, and a nice, clean car that was serviced correctly. I have been to this dealer twice for service, and both times the car had to be towed in. As the saying goes, fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I will never go back to this dealer, ever, for anything. The first time I had to get the oil pan on my wife's jetta replaced, and the price was outrageous, but I had no options. This time, the car was overheating. Let me share the prices and services they offered: Diagnosis, $94. Waterpump replacement and Timing belt replacement, $450. Timing Belt Tensioner, $120. H2O Temp Sensor, $180. Now, let me share with you the actual cost of these items, bought aftermarket: Waterpump (lifetime warranty) $90. Timing Belt, $37.50. Timing Belt Tensioner, $60. And the mother of them all the Water temp sensor, $20. They treat you like you know nothing about cars, when in fact, it is they that are clueless. I asked for the Tensioner to be put on after all the work had been completed, and the service sales person (cause thats what she is) told me they would have to remove the water pump to put on the tensioner. I was so irate, I just paid and took the car home. I bought the tensioner, and installed it in about 10 minutes and the waterpump was never touched. Trade your car in before you get service here. Just make sure you trade it in at another dealership. I will be going to Colonial VW from now on. More
