Was in the market for a used, reliable vehicle and after searching found a 2000 Subaru Outback this dealership. Price was great so i called and setup a time to check it out. I was working with Scott who is primarily the internet sales rep and he was a friend of a friend. I took the car for a test drive things seemed like they were good and i was told someone was coming to purchase the vehicle that night, to me was a plow to get me to bite that minute in purchasing. I waited a day car didn't sell so i i requested to have the car brought to a local mechanic for a pre purchase once over. This apparently was out of the ordinary for the Head of Sales. Scott did his best and was able to get the car to my mechanic for a once over and there were some issues i had with the car, some of which are expected of a 13yr old car but the extent to the condition was a little alarming to me. I was instructed to call the head of sales, Chris Duggan. I spoke with Mr. Duggan the day i saw the car and we spoke briefly and I was on my way. My short dealings with Mr. Duggan were brief and to the point and this interaction lead me to instantly walk away from the car. I was spoken to in a condescending manner as if i had unrealistic expectations for what i was looking for. The issues t hat i presented were of a safety concern for the vehicle, sever rot of the front braking system and spindle. I made this one observation and was quickly interrupted and spoken down upon. Mr. Duggan was quick to fire back with his 35yrs of experience in the car business and he has seen more 13yr old cars than I have. At which point i quickly said i was no longer interested in the car due to the unprofessional manner of which i was dealt with. I have never experienced a dealer who denies a third party to review the car unless they have something to hide. Clearly Gallo was hiding and unwilling to discuss anything related to the car because it was a 13yr old car that was ON THE LOT! I would suggest dealing with another dealer. More
I bought a new CX-9 here last October. These guys are superb. The price they gave me was significantly better than the best of the rest. We purchased a used Volvo from Gallo 5 months ago. 5 hours after driving off the lot, the car started to shake so bad, we could not drive over 35 miles an hour and made a loud squeaking when you hit the hours after driving off the lot, the car started to shake so bad, we could not drive over 35 miles an hour and made a loud squeaking when you hit the brakes. I brought it back to be looked at and was told that the car had sat for awhile and the squeak was normal and that nothing was wrong. I than asked to speak to the person who took it for the test ride and was told that they only drove it around the parking lot! After I refused to leave the dealership with the car, they finally brought it back into the service department and did major work to the brakes and wheel bearings. That was just the start, they claim to have gone over the car from top to bottom, but seemed to miss the rotting fruit under the seats and the worn out brakes and bad wheel bearings! Now, the car is in need of $3000 more in repairs for numerous other major problems. What did the fine folks at Gallo Volvo do to help a customer who has purchased other cars from them had these problems? NOTHING! Not only were they unwilling to work with me to find a solution, I was actual told the sales manager was too busy “working on a deal” to speak to me. Needless to say, I took my car and will take all my future business elsewhere. With all the choices you have for car dealers, DO NOT USE GALLO VOLVO! More
Brought my Volvo in for service. I got an estimate for a repair. Decided to get a second opinion. Another shop did the repair for $425 less. I purchased the (total lost) 2010 Mazda CX-9 brand new from a Mazda dealer in wellesley and it was a ok experience and nothing more appropriate them go back to the same dealer and purchase the new car as an return customer, right? Wrong, they did not value a return customer and start playing games on the price of the car and on the finance saying that i could not buy the car at 0% finance as for the price that i was willing to pay did not qualify for the 0% mazda was giving.I told the person that I was dealing with that it was very offensive to my intelligence what he was saying and i told him that my credit score is AAA. I hangup with him (Wellesley dealer) and made the call to Matt which was not even working that day and even that did listen to my request and gave my number to Steven. Steven call me shortly after and we did all the negotiation over the phone without wasting anyone time. Made the deposit over the phone and he secure the car that me and wife have decide with the options we like. the honesty and professionalism of both are outstanding and they have for sure a client for life. However, before this purchase, I was in contact online with many sales people from different dealerships. Of all these people, Matt was by far the most helpful and courteous. Not only did he took the time to respond to all my questions, but also he gave me a very good deal, comparable to my actual purchase price. Their fees were also reasonable and among the cheapest ones I came across. Overall, I would strongly recommend Matt, and based on what I could see from my few exchanges with him, I'd say you are in good hands. More

Steve was easy to sit down and negotiate with (even though it went on for a couple of days before coming to an agreement). He was very honest and fair through the whole process and provided me with constant and quick responses to all of my questions. Though I may not be the easiest buyer they worked with, they and Gallo were a very easy dealer to purchase from. Would give my business and recommend again. More

The deal was straight forward, price was competitive, the whole process went very smoothly and it was QUICK! One reviewer noted there was not any back and forth between the sales person and "the man behind the curtain" (sales manager?) - whoever that maybe. The price was fair, straight forward and did not feel that I was taken advantage of. I love my new little Mazda 3! Steve went above and beyond to find the exterior and interior color I wanted and kept me informed during the process. Could not be happier! More
