My wife and I had nothing but great service when purchasing our Certified pre owned Santa Fe. Johnny Storelli was the individual who helped us from start to finish and he was absolutely incredible, purchasing our Certified pre owned Santa Fe. Johnny Storelli was the individual who helped us from start to finish and he was absolutely incredible, we came in with parameters of what we were looking for and Johnny either met or exceeded all of them. He gave us time to think things over but always kept in contact with us all the way through the purchase. I would highly recommend going to see Johnny or any staff members at Patrick Hyundai if you are in the market for a car. Nothing but first class. More
On Veteran's Day, I went to Patrick Hyundai and spoke with a Salesperson named David. I wanted to take a test drive in their 2023 Hyundai Elantra N Model. I was looking to trade in my 2022 Veloster, which was too cramped and bumpy for me. I provided some numbers after the test drive, such as payment desire and down payment. Dave sent my information to his sales manager. I listened intently to their chat, and based on what I heard, the sales manager determined that my numbers were a non-dealmaker without even checking my credit report. When Dave returned to me, he informed me that I needed to put additional money down, despite the fact that they had not checked my credit record. I decided to go to another dealer that same day who was able to provide me a 2023 Hyundai Elantra N Model for MSRP with no money down. From Veterans Day through this past Monday, Dave kept in touch with me, checking in to see whether I was still looking. He even wrote me a Happy Holiday and Birthday email, which I much appreciated. Given the frequency with which Dave contacted me, I assumed Patrick Hyundai was eager to work with me in the future. I happened to be seeking to update my 2023 Hyundai Elantra N Model, so I contacted Dave on Tuesday to inquire about a car. Dave informed me that they had the vehicle I wantd, so I went to the showroom on January 11th, 2023. After I test drove the vehicle I provded numbers to Dave and he presented it to the same shop manager as he did on Vetearns Day after running my credit report, and I overheard the sales manager say Dave "There is no way in xxxx that I can get a sale done with those numbers". After that, I decided to leave and negotiate with another dealer. I've lived in the Chicagoland region for nearly 5 years, and I've decided it's time for me to relocate due to the discrimination I encountered while making various purchases. I've been exposed to racism so many times that I'm familiar with the tricks dealers use on customers of color, such as the numbers game. So when I go to the dealership, I go along with their game to determine (1) whether they want my business or (2) if they want to run a game on me. For example, if a sales manager discovers that you know arithmetic and desire a certain payment, they will identify the sort of add-on that they may "attempt" to add to your loan deal. This is why you should NEVER tell a dealer how much you are willing to put down upfront or how much you want to pay monthly. I decided to do this because, again, after going through this process many times, I wanted to see what cards Patrick Hyundai were going to play. Its a shame that Patrick Hyundai was so willing to lose my business to another Hyundai TWICE under the same circiumstances. More

Great Sales Reps - band management Bought Hyundai Tuscon in July 2022 - Ron Salski was awesome - but the management he had to deal with was not helpful at all - the overall experience was ok, they ma Tuscon in July 2022 - Ron Salski was awesome - but the management he had to deal with was not helpful at all - the overall experience was ok, they made me buy nearly $2000 worth of add ons as a part of the dealer markup - a new money grabbing technique many dealers are doing to capitalize on the inventory shortage - not a good feeling - we liked the car so we bought it - not so sure if we would go back to Patrick -unless Ron is the Manager there! After I bought the car, there was no sound - no radio, no hands free, no sound alerts - nothing - it took me 1 month to get it fixed because the service was backed up - again after spending $45K on a brand new car, no shortage could be an explanation for one month wait for simple diagnostic to fix the sound issue. I strongly urge you to avoid Patrick Hyundai–this dealer is the epitome of a bad car buying experience. As part of the buying process, we were shown the full price of the car which included "optional" accessories. We asked to have the optional accessories removed and were told that they weren't optional and that they wouldn't remove them. We were told by the salesperson, Josh, "We aren't forcing you to buy this car. If you don't want it, we will sell it to someone else later today." For a salesperson to have the audacity to state that tells you exactly the type of place this dealership is–not one that values the people who keep these middlemen in business. One of these optional accessories is a $400 fee to replace one of your keys in the off-chance that you lose one of the keys within 3 years of purchase. Well, wouldn't you know that $400 is pretty much the cost of replacing a key in the first place? So they're forcing you to pay for things you don't need and won't remove them when asked. All of the optional accessories amounted to approximately $1,500 of added extortion. Leading up to the date we paid for a car we couldn't even take off the lot (more on that later), my wife and I communicated with Patrick Hyundai over several months. When our car was finally available, we confirmed via email with Patrick Hyundai that we would be offered the lowest rate of 2.79% APR financing if we qualified–the same offer that was listed on their website for our car, the 2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Limited. Once we arrived at the dealership, we went through the financing process and were told we qualified for the 2.79% APR offer. However, several minutes later they reneged and told us that they would only give us 3.25%. We brought up the offer listed on the website (showing them from our phones the exact offer listed on their website) as well as the email confirmation from their salesperson, but they wouldn't budge. Instead, they told us something akin to "websites take a long time to update and that offer is no longer available." And again we were told that they weren't forcing us to buy the car. So not only are they extorting you, but they're providing false advertisement and lying in their communication. But they chalked this up to a slow website update and a human error in communication. The icing on the cake? After we got through the entire buying process that took around 4 hours, my wife gets in the new car and I get in our rental car. We're about the drive off the lot and my wife tells me she can't adjust one of the mirrors! Patrick Hyundai failed to discover defects in the build of the car and/or missed this in their inspection (if an inspection was even completed–I asked to see the inspection list, was told they'd give me a copy, but I never got it). So we couldn't even take the car that we just paid for off of the lot and needed to wait for them to order a part, have it delivered, and fix the car! What an absolute joke! Patrick Hyundai will tell you that they offered to have us drive the car off the lot that day and for us just to bring the car back in when the piece arrived. Not having adjustable mirrors is a safety hazard and they wanted to be able to say they told us we could take the car off the lot when in reality, we couldn't safely do that. And how could I forget that they make you sign papers stating that the optional accessories were optional yet you agree to buy them! I asked the finance person we worked with and she told me that the papers were mandatory. I asked her to confirm in writing that these optional accessories were mandatory even though the paperwork we were forced to sign to buy the car stated they weren't mandatory, and she said she would state this in a follow-up email with me the following week. I knew she wouldn't (their goal is to get you to sign), and she didn't. The whole process was miserable. Everyone we worked with oozed sleaze. The only person who was friendly and enjoyable to speak with was the administrative person. Avoid this dealership. They don't deserve your business. More

BUYER BEWARE! ! I have purchased 2 new cars from Patrick within the past 3 years. Yesterday (7/11), I went in to trade my 2022 Sonata NLine and purchase a 2022 Sona ! I have purchased 2 new cars from Patrick within the past 3 years. Yesterday (7/11), I went in to trade my 2022 Sonata NLine and purchase a 2022 Sonata Limited. Unfortunately, their trade in offer was extremely low ($31,000) and they had mandatory add-ons listed in the price of the new car - I didnt think anything of it, seeing as these same mandatory add-ons were on my NLine I purchased two months prior. The numbers wouldn't work out, so I went to a number of other dealerships. In doing so, I realized the questionable practices and "mandatory" add-ons that Patrick makes customers pay for when purchasing a new car. First car from them in 2019, they forced us to purchase the tire and wheel package, trim, and window etching and said that was mandatory and part of the deal to get the pricing. This time they made us again purchase key replacement, trim protection, and window etching. These are just additional predatory tactics to increase their bottom line and essentially wipe out any dealer incentives (first responder and/or veteran discount). We mistakenly purchased 2 new cars from Patrick in the past 3 years and thankfully they helped make the decision for us on our 3rd. We won't be back to purchase any more cars from Patrick seeing how they treat Veterans and loyal customers. I highly recommend exploring other Hyundai dealerships before making your purchase. I was victim to not knowing there was something better out there because I appreciated the convinience of proximity. Let me tell you, it is worth exploring your options. The other dealership was absolutely fantastic! The other dealership gave me a reasonable amount on my trade ($34,000) and I managed to walk out of their finance department with a brand new Sonata Limited (see attached photos) with NO add-ons. The trip to the alternate Hyundai dealership saved me in excess of $6,000 compared to Patrick. That is how it is supposed to work!!! Seriously, don't buy your new car from Patrick. More
This place is why people don’t like car dealerships. High pressure to get an expensive service package when you go in for a routine oil change. After refusing the expensive and superfluous “recommended High pressure to get an expensive service package when you go in for a routine oil change. After refusing the expensive and superfluous “recommended service”, they held my car for 2 hours to change the oil! TWO HOURS!!
