When I arrived 3 hrs early for my appt due to family issues another employee explained it was my salesman's day off and wasn't scheduled in for a few hours he offered to call Trevor. Trevor came within 15 minutes. I was more than appreciative. Communication between different departments was expedited. Buying a car is a formidable prospect for a 69 year old single woman. I pride myself in doing research regarding the vehicle qualities I desired and talking to others about who to trust. Special thanks to Trevor Shannahan my sales consultant and Stephen Och's as well as the finance manager who assisted with the purchase. Wonderful Experience Drove up from Chicago area to Cedar Rapids to buy a used 2012 Audi A5 Cabriolet. Much better deal than anything I found in the Chicagoland area. My experience actually began on the right foot, the salesman was thourough, and friendly (I actually can't complain about his part in this, he was ver My experience actually began on the right foot, the salesman was thourough, and friendly (I actually can't complain about his part in this, he was very pleasant). When we got inside and started working the deal is when things went south. We finally agreed on some numbers, but when I moved into financing, they wanted to add to my warranty and whatnot (I had already purchased the undercoating and paint sealant), I told them I would take the warranty add-ons as long as they could stay within my monthly payment. They made it work, but failed to inform me that they took away my undercoating and paint sealant package to cover that! I did not find this out until I tried to schedule my appointment afterwards! Also, I was left hanging several times while the finance guy went to talk with the manager. At one point when he returned, he told me he didn't know what was going on, and that the managers were just standing around talking in their office. It was almost 10pm before we got everything wrapped up. I still have yet to hear back from them on some questions I had! Also, while I was working the deal with them, there was a young lady purchasing a new vehicle. She had at least three salesmen helping her out, pulled her new vehicle into the showroom to give her a walkaround (it was going to rain outside), and looked like they were having a blast. When I took possession of my new car, I was out in the dark parking lot with my salesman, helping him swap license plates from my trade vehicle! How disappointing! Clearly, I should have sent my wife in to seal this deal! In the end, I feel like I was not properly cared for. I spent a lot of money, and was treated like an inconvenience! Sorry, guys! At least I know with the purchase of this new car, I won't have to deal with another dealership for a long time, and I won't deal with McGrath's ever again! More
