we bought a 2006 chrysler town & country in may and we didnt buy a warranty.but it had a 2000 mile warranty on it before the 2000 miles could run out i had 4 things go wrong with it and since i didnt b we didnt buy a warranty.but it had a 2000 mile warranty on it before the 2000 miles could run out i had 4 things go wrong with it and since i didnt buy the warranty i had to come up with more money to upgrade to a 2008 town &county since we were so gullable the first time,we bought a warranty,we just paid a lot of money to get our van fixed and when we went to pick it up the brake light was on the only opinion this dealership had was that maybe the brake fluid was low and they let us drive off in an unsafe car.I WILL NEVER BRING MY BUISNESS TO THIS DEALERSHIP AGAIN.They dont care about customers and keeping them safe in their cars longterm. They only care about fixing the problems shortterm, and crossing their fingers that you dont have to come back they dont care about the stress it causes you only the money they can put in their pockets today! You guys have lost a good customer. And to all the people thinking about buying a used car from these guys think to yourselves do u really want to worry if there is something wrong with your used car how much stress your willing to put up with to get it fixed. Went in to trade our van in on an SUV, also contacted dealer to see about using our boat for trade as we knew we were upside down on our van, they said no problem. So we do the whole pre-approval for fin dealer to see about using our boat for trade as we knew we were upside down on our van, they said no problem. So we do the whole pre-approval for financing and get told we are good to go, come in and we are ready to wheel and deal to make something happen. So we go in and find out that without paying off the negetive equity in our van ourselves we aren't actually approved. Figuring with using the boat as additional trade value we would be good to go on the loan anyway but were told by Brent O'Connor and the finance man that we can't do that. We told them we were not interested in purchasing a vehicle from them anymore but yet the manager Matt said he would still purchase our boat for up to $3500.00 as the boat dealers were closed at the time so he could not get an exact number. I said no at that time and would rather he contact the boat dealers first. So we drive over an hour back home. The next day i called 3 times to contact and see what they found out on the boat with no answer and no call backs. Then Sat comes and i finally talk to lindsey whom tells me they came up with $3000.00 for the boat and i said ok i will come up then. She asked if we were still trading for a vehicle to which i told her we were not trading at this time but would still like to bring the boat up to which she said ok. On the way up they called again to see if i was trading today and to offer me some more finance options, i told them no i was just doing the boat today which then they changed their story to Matt didnt say he would take the boat for the said price cause they arent a boat dealer, i could bring it and have a $3000.00 trade allowance for a future date with them. So they want me to sign my boat over to them with the spoken promise of $3000.00 trade allowance in the future. Seems a little crooked to me, since once i sign the papers it's my word versus theirs. Then Lindsey said she asked Brent what took place wed and he stated it was all based on trade after the offer to buy the boat came after we told them we weren't trading and he was standing there. The finance guy was outside and said Matt would go $3000.00 without talking to boat dealer in which i replied for him to ask Matt about $4000.00 just to see, the finance guy came out and said the most Matt would go then and there was $3500.00. Now on saturday the finance guy claims no part in the deal on wed. In all i would tell people to stay away from this dealership as getting everything they can out of a person is all they care about. They do not care about you or anything they told you once you leave their lot. The managers dont communicate and if you asked to speak to someone higher up or one of the 3 major that are in charge they refuse to let you. Now if i say i'm not trading and you say you are still offering me a max of $3500.00 for my boat that means your gonna buy my boat from me not give me a trade credit. To any military members or family whom may read this i am a soldier my self and hold highly my army values and this dealer violates them and are horrible. STAY AWAY FROM THEM MO MATTER HOW GOOD THEIR DEAL SOUNDS. I was going to give them a second chance after selling my boat sat but how things went saturday i would never step foot in this dealership again. More
I was pregnant when I went to buy my first car on my own from a dealership. The salesman that I spoke to new exactly what I wanted and he didn't try pressuring me into something other than my dream car (Pon from a dealership. The salesman that I spoke to new exactly what I wanted and he didn't try pressuring me into something other than my dream car (Pontiac G6) We looked all over at all of the McGrath stores all day long and couldn't find anything. Mr. Hunter assured me that he would find me exactly what I was looking for even if it wasn't today. Our last resort that day was to check the "check in lot??" (The place where the cars sit before servicing) And sure enough, I found EXACTLY what I was looking for! I had AN AWESOME EXPERIENCE at Pat McGrath Chevyland, and quite frankly, I was completely appalled to see some of the negative reviews. Because I was treated with the utmost respect and accommodated accordingly. Thanks Pat McGrath- I will DEFINITELY be back! :) More
I went in to buy a new vehicle that accomodatd my famiily, it was my first vehicle on my own. Turns out i owed more on my car so they talked me into selling it outright and then puttin the rest as do famiily, it was my first vehicle on my own. Turns out i owed more on my car so they talked me into selling it outright and then puttin the rest as down payment. I sold it within the week, they got me into a Saturn Vue that was fine, but the transmission went out within the first few weeks. They told me i had to have it towed in, fine, I didnt hear from them until over a week later. Now 3 weeks later they tell me my only option to replace it is a 2000 Crown Victoria which is worse then the other two cars. They call that making it right, am I wrong to be this upset and refuse to settle? I will be paying on this car for years and i hate it!! Advice please More
A friend of mine went to Pat Mcgraths to purchase a used car since they say they can get anyone financing. Well after we talked to a sales person and told him what she could afford he showed her a car that car since they say they can get anyone financing. Well after we talked to a sales person and told him what she could afford he showed her a car that was way out of her price range and talked her into buying it. Well she needed a co signer so I agreed to be the CO SIGNER. Then come to find out after we get the car home and get the registration they but ME as the main holder on the loan. Really would not be that big of a deal execpt that any traffic accident or violation is in my name and when she trades it in I will be responsible for all the extra money on the loan that is still owed. I guess I am one of those people who do not like being lied to and put as the main loan holder instead of just the Co signer...I would NEVER recommend this dealership to anyone. More
They helped me get a car that was within my price range that I really liked. I had to jump through about 7000 hoops and ladders to get the car, but it helped me get ahead in things that I had been pushing that I really liked. Bought a car from here about 3 years ago, the sales man tried to hook up with my girlfriend when he ran into her at a bar, and discussed my poor credit I had back then. Turns out I should have sued... oh w tried to hook up with my girlfriend when he ran into her at a bar, and discussed my poor credit I had back then. Turns out I should have sued... oh well. But wait, there is more... when I purchased the car we worked with finance and I was only required to leave a $400 down payment. Too good to be true right? Sure was, went back the next day to drop off the check, and they told me I had to leave a $2100 down payment. At the time I was not working the best job and this was not an option. I told them they can keep the car then. The manager John McLeod flipped out, yells at me "It's your car, you CAN'T give it back." So I walk off and say "fine, I am calling my lawyer." I was actually just calling my father to try to figure something out, when John McLeod comes running out of the building and yells "GIVE ME THE KEYS." Threw the keys to him and that was that, I called every upper manager I could get in touch with about the credit issue. No action was taken, I was just told to ask for the manager (cannot remember his name) when I came back to buy a car. Are you kidding me? For the life of me I will never set foot on their property again in my life, and in my opinion neither should you. More

I will start by saying I have been contemplating buying a new or used vehicle for quite some time. I bought my first "newer" vehicle from this dealer 12 years ago and 2 yrs. later decided to upgrade. The fir new or used vehicle for quite some time. I bought my first "newer" vehicle from this dealer 12 years ago and 2 yrs. later decided to upgrade. The first experience was pretty good, the next I walked out on due to the sales rep. nearly forcing a vehicle I clearly stated I didn't want, well, you know where. Things and times have changed and so have their practices in sales technique, at least with the guy I worked with, Brent O'Donnell. He listened to my needs and didn't seem rushed like he needed to make another sale. He answered, with detailed knowledge, all my questions and knew the vehicle, although used, as if it were he who designed it. That was refreshing and impressive, if all people in car sales were that way I believe there would be happier people with less complaints. He didn't brush my concerns aside and didn't pressure me into a final sale and afterward even left a gift bag for my wife and I. As for the sales and finance, I didn't get the usual, "lets hussle this up buddy, I got sales to take care of" feel. Tim Day was extremely patient and fair as far as going above and beyond. He answered all my questions, (even when I sidetracked him with questions about Iraq, he is a veteran and I forgot to thank him so if you see this Tim, thank you!) I can actually say, I walked away with a feeling like I got a fair shake and a nice vehicle. Although I haven't had the vehicle long enough to say if the customer service department(for repair and service)will stand up to my liking, my initial buying experience was far beyond what I expected. Brent stayed over to make sure everything went smooth and even though things were locked up and people were gone he stuck around to make sure I got the things out of my other vehicle, which I left in their lot overnight (they let me take my new car even though the paperwork wasn't finished) I recommend this dealer and especially Brent and Tim, as far as staff. Can't speak for the rest of the crew as I didn't have a chance to work with them. Oh and as far as the list and pricing (that I see another consumer had issues with) I did not have that experience. I asked how much and was stated the price. It didn't change with different scenarios as I have had happen in the past) Don't know if that is always the case or if Brent was just straight from the start but I would recommend him to my friends.
