I brought my wife’s 2005 Nixxan Xterra in to Passport Nissan of Alexandria for 2 reasons: 1) To replace the 4 wheels/tires I had with a second set I have with snow tires mounted. And I wanted to dismoun Nissan of Alexandria for 2 reasons: 1) To replace the 4 wheels/tires I had with a second set I have with snow tires mounted. And I wanted to dismount/discard the old summer tires. 2) To replace a 6 year old battery. They called 2 hours later and said the battery post also needed to be replaced. Battery + post + labor = $250. They said the wheel / tire labor would be $130. The tires are “directional” – and when I picked up the car two of the wheels were on the wrong side so that the tires were in the wrong direction. Fortunately I noticed and they said they would fix on the spot. But the mechanic who had mounted the wheels had gone for the day and Passport Nissan said they did not have a lug wrench the right size and they could not take off the wheels. I live 100 miles away and asked what they could do. The service manager offered to refund the labor cost which I accepted. They did not offer to find the correct tool or to send the car to a local tire shop. They moved my floor mats to the back of the truck and did not put them back – they did not clean so why move my mats? Also one of the other service managers said “oh, I’ve never seen directional tires on an Xterra” – does that mean that a technician isn’t supposed to look at a tire they are putting on the vehicle? I went to my local mechanic the next day who swapped the two wheels mounted in the wrong direction. $10. Complete and total incompetence. The Nissan dealer in Canada was way better. If I cannot find a better Nissan Dealer for service in the DC area I won’t buy another Nissan. More

At the start of our visit, we walked around the lot and looked at a few vehicles which then we decided to test drive the Nissan Rogue. It seemed to be the perfect fit for us. After our test drive, the vehi looked at a few vehicles which then we decided to test drive the Nissan Rogue. It seemed to be the perfect fit for us. After our test drive, the vehicle had more milage than we had expected (60,000+ miles), but we still liked it. We then went back inside to discuss it as a family whether or not THIS vehicle would be the one we buy off the lot the day of. After deciding not to take the vehicle, the sales consultant came to us and told us there was ANOTHER Rogue on the lot that had met our needs and more. He had specified that it had heated seats, lower milage, and practically brand new (634 miles). Since we had already test drove the same vehicle earlier, my dad decided not to test drive it but agreed we'd negotiate on the newer model with lower milage and extra features. Considering it was already late in the night, we wanted to get home and everything seemed fine. So we drove it home. The car did not come with all the features that were mentioned and when i attempted to notify the sales associate of this mishap, continuously denied every saying anything of the sort and rudely interrupted me during my explanations. I believe this was a horrible mistake in going to this nissan dealership. More
The buying process was the expected hassle, but nothing extraordinary. The salesman (who like in other dealerships isn't a salesman in that he can't sell anything without somebody else's approval) was as extraordinary. The salesman (who like in other dealerships isn't a salesman in that he can't sell anything without somebody else's approval) was as helpful as his role called for him to be. He upsold extra overpriced gadgets, but that's part of his job and he convinced my wife they were what she wanted. When I left his table in the showroom we had the pricing and extra gadgets and incentives worked out. The killer came in the business office. They had all their computers and support infrastructure, and they do this every day. I do it less than once per decade. They slipped an extra thousand dollars onto the price of the car. It wasn't obvious because the invoice wasn't itemized in the manner I'd step by step reached the agreed price with the salesman, and I was without computers and the ability to reasonably cross check all the calculations against the totals presented with their (unfamiliar) paperwork. (I had a pencil and notebook.) The price addition became obvious to me the next evening when I laid it all out in my spreadsheet at home. I felt cheated, but I did sign the paperwork and can't see that I have any reasonable recourse. The best I can do is take a lesson learned and warn others with reviews such as this one. The lesson learned is next time get everything in writing from the comfort of my home before going to the dealership to buy. Visit and test drive first, with intention of not buying at that time, but get the whole deal in writing, and check it over from the comfort of home before visiting the dealership to buy. More
Neal was amazing and friendly. He was knowledgeable about the vehicles and helped me narrow down my options to the car that fit me best and worked with my price ranged. He knew the minute I walked in the car the vehicles and helped me narrow down my options to the car that fit me best and worked with my price ranged. He knew the minute I walked in the car that I would be leaving with, although I never felt pressured to choose that car. He allowed me to test drive all the vehicles I was interested in to ensure I was making the correct decision. I would def recommend them and I will def be back in the future. More
I believe I was charged for replacement parts and service unnecessarily while trying to have a recall corrected, but given that my car was dying while driving I had few to no options. Very displeased especia unnecessarily while trying to have a recall corrected, but given that my car was dying while driving I had few to no options. Very displeased especially when they recommended I replace an additional engine sensor and when asked why it should be replaced, they replied "because we usually replace them with the other sensor." That was the entire explanation. More

Their customer service is tragic a best. They completely misinformed and mislead me. Evidently everyone is this dealer is a sales manager so you cannot have your concerns expressed to a higher manager, I re misinformed and mislead me. Evidently everyone is this dealer is a sales manager so you cannot have your concerns expressed to a higher manager, I requested to speak with the dealer manager but I was declined. I tried looking for a district manager but again not successful. STAY AWAY IF YOU CAN, THEY ARE NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE & HASSLE considering how many more dealers there are nearby to shop from that more than likely will treat you better and with more respect than these guys did with me. IT WOULD TAKE SIGNIFICANT CHANGES FOR ME TO EVER GO BACK TO THIS DEALER OR TO RECOMMEND A FRIEND, FAMILY OR ANYONE REALLY, DON’T GO HERE! More

Pretty surprised with the car presented to me for the price, given it did have cosmetic issues. Mo and Tom were very helpful though in making sure that I had all the tools to research other prices.
