No Pressure! I was online and I saw a certified preowned Mazda CX-5 2023. I was in love and I sent over my information. Rafael called me and next thing I know I was online and I saw a certified preowned Mazda CX-5 2023. I was in love and I sent over my information. Rafael called me and next thing I know I’m looking at a 2024 Mazda Cx-5 CE. I was so excited now I just had to wait and see what my rate was going to be. I called the dealership and spoke with Muhammad and was informed of the rate, at that point I knew I was going to buy a brand new car. From the moment I walked into the dealership I felt no pressure and everyone was actually nice. Kamau introduced himself to me and I was blown away by his professionalism. From there I was in the finance room with Richard so friendly signing my paperwork. Now here is the crazy part. My money was held up and I couldn’t pick the car up for 3 weeks. They held my car for me when they didn’t have to. When I pick her up 2 weeks ago it’s been a wrap. I’m still in shock that I have a brand new car, I’m so overjoyed that Passport Mazda Suitland was able to work with me and my credit. My husband is going next to get him a brand new Mazda!!! Thank you Rafael for making the first call and showing a Trim I really didn’t know about. More

After reviewing several cars and trucks online, I ultimately chose the Mazda CX-30. The price was right, and the service was great. My sales representative Andre was a true professional. Passport Mazda tried to scam me. So I asked them if I could do a pre-purchase inspection with an independent mechanic (PPI), wanting to get more info before starting my negotiations. The salesman Mark responded that they had prior experiences of people stealing car parts while claiming to do a PPI, so they required that I sign a waiver to make me responsible for damages made to the car while at the mechanic's. I signed it. My mechanic told me that the car had been bumped into, causing a crack and scratches to the front corner of the car, but otherwise the engine looked good. When I went back to the dealership and started negotiations, I told Mark about the crack and asked him to get it fixed and lower the price. However, because I signed the waiver, Mark began claiming that I was the one who made the crack and that I have to pay for the damages. Luckily I dont trust dealerships and I took a picture with a time stamp before I left for the PPI, and it shut him up. Mark had the nerve to then act like fixing it would be a favor to me. Keep in mind this car is a CPO so they should have fixed it anyway. The takeaway: Passport Mazda has a legal scheme that lets them charge you for damages you find from a PPI. They're xxxxxxxx. I ended up buying my Mazda from Heritage Toyota near Baltimore instead. Their car salesman Jeyson Villalta behaved like a normal, genuine human being. More
Buying a car from Passport was one of the better experiences I have had car buying. And it particularly stood out in the current environment. First, because they had cars. Second, because the price experiences I have had car buying. And it particularly stood out in the current environment. First, because they had cars. Second, because the price was fair. My salesman, though young, was knowledgeable and blessedly low key. The sales manager was helpful and friendly. Finance is required to run through add-ons that I did not want but even they were quick and did not pressure me. And finally I brought the car in for service to add an option. It seemed busy, but I was brought in in time and it was finished in half the estimated time. More
I ultimately didn't end up purchasing from this dealership because I needed a car on a shorter timeline than their soonest deliveries, but I will definitely consider them in the future. This is one dealership because I needed a car on a shorter timeline than their soonest deliveries, but I will definitely consider them in the future. This is one of the only dealers in the area that was responsive and straightforward. Jay provided a price quote when asked (at MSRP, no market adjustments), helped me understand fees another dealer might try to tack on, and responded in a prompt manner. Other dealers I tried to work with wouldn't provide price quotes or would try to hide their market adjustments, were unreachable by phone or email, or (in one case) would tell me they had the car I wanted on the lot to get me to come down when really it still hadn't been delivered into port. I wish I hadn't needed a car so soon so I could have rewarded the good behavior of this dealership with a sale. More

Bought 2017 Lexus in September. Come to find out in a period of three months and less than 1000 miles need new brakes and rotors. Waiting if they will respond and correct problem. Will see. I’m sorry to report it, but these guys are as dishonest and crooked as any bad used car salesmen stereotype. I was in the dealership yesterday and met with a salesman (Mark) and the sales manager, Mohamma and crooked as any bad used car salesmen stereotype. I was in the dealership yesterday and met with a salesman (Mark) and the sales manager, Mohammad. They quoted me a price. Having had bad experiences with car dealers before, I specifically asked Mark if the price was guaranteed as I had no interest in a bait and switch. He confirmed that Passport Mazda doesn’t operate that way – they don’t want mad customers and bad reviews. I went home and discussed it with my wife. After some back and forth with Mark, we agreed to terms on the price and he asked me to come in and sign the paperwork today. I dropped what I was doing and drove 35 minutes in DC traffic to the dealership. As I was within site of the dealership, Mohammad called me to tell me he can no longer honor the deal we had agreed to, and the cost would be $25/month higher. In Mohammad’s mind, $900 was worth infuriating me, wasting well over an hour of my time, and the bad reviews I will now be posting. That tells you everything you need to know about these guys and how they operate. Needless to say, I declined to accept Mohammad’s crooked offer and will be purchasing a car elsewhere. More
