I went into Passport BMW with the intent of purchasing my dream car. What I left with was simply that. I had also been in love with a blue 3-series sedan with beige interior. I was looking at purchasing a used car or depending on the situation even a lease-to-buy option. When I got there, I was greeted by Nan Wong, who I had known from a friend's previous purchase at VOB BMW in Rockville, Md. I had spoken to her on the phone the day before and let her know what I was interested in so she had already had a car pulled up ready for me to test drive. However, I was more interested in sitting down and seeing what was still available as far as used cars. She immediately put me in direct contact with her manager, David, the pre-owned car sales manager. Although the dealership was extremely busy from it being a Saturday and there being a James Bond movie promotion going on, he took the time to go over everything I wanted from color schemes to packages to pricing. Although I was now dealing with David in his office, Nan took the time to come back in and give me her input on the cars we were looking at. After looking at several options, I did find the car of my dreams and it turns out it was the price leader of all the pre-owned listings. They immediately pulled it up and ready to test drive. It was a 2011 Blue (ext) /Beige (int) 328i and it being a previous loaner car with only 20,000 miles on it, I got it for $30,000. Perfect !!! After I told them this was the one, I sat down with Nan to fill out some paperwork which she made extremely effortless. One of the things she had mentioned was Passport's surpassing customer service as compared to VOB BMW. This was one of the reasons she had transferred in the first place. Passport BMW will come pick you up in an always BMW loaner car and take your car into the dealership when any maintenance is required, even though I live in Herndon, Va...40 miles away !!! At VOB, they give you a rental car. I was definitely excited to hear about how they take care of their customers. After filling out the paperwork with Nan came the signing of paperwork which can usually be a very tedious endeavor. It was far from it as Jeff Steele was more than entertaining with his lively personality and more than honest with his forthright suggestions of what is best for you as a borrower. During all of the paperwork, they had taken my car back to get her all cleaned up and ready to go. It was an amazing day and one I'll always remember as being the best car purchase experience ever for me. Thanks Passport for helping to make my dreams come true. More
