Very poor customer service especially the finance department. I have great credit and told me I had special financing thru the dealership, I signed papers, then they said the car I bought didn’t qua department. I have great credit and told me I had special financing thru the dealership, I signed papers, then they said the car I bought didn’t qualify, so they denied the loan I got financing thru my bank, and it still took over a week for them to get back with me too complete the deal. They ordered me new tags instead of just transferring my old tags and didn’t have the new tags sent to my house and wanted me to drive two hours from where I live to pick them up at the dealership. Poor customer service. I could go on, but I won’t More
The best car buying experience I have ever had, and at my age, I have had a lot of them. Working with Nathan Tibbetts was a real pleasure. Before we walked into the dealership we pretty much dreaded what we age, I have had a lot of them. Working with Nathan Tibbetts was a real pleasure. Before we walked into the dealership we pretty much dreaded what we expected would be the process. Boy were we pleasently surprised. Nathan and the folks at Passport could not have made things anymore pleasant. We live about 80 miles from the dealership but it was a trip well worth taking. Do yourself a big favor and call Nathan. Horrible experience to say the least! While we weren't expecting to deal with the most honest people on earth, Passport BMW, and mainly Shawn Swartz managed to take things to a whole diff While we weren't expecting to deal with the most honest people on earth, Passport BMW, and mainly Shawn Swartz managed to take things to a whole different level of dishonesty. We wanted to trader our basically brand new 2022 BMW M4 Competition. We had offers at 2 other BMW dealerships for $81,000 and at Carmax at $81,850. Shawn Swartz offered us $70,000 stating that the car had been tuned, showing a variety of service codes, and needed at least $10,000 to bring it back to life, so he can sell it, at most likely a zero profit lol. While I knew this was a complete lie, I had a BMW technician do a full Pre-Purchase inspection, and sure enough. The car was not tuned, nothing wrong with it whatsoever, no codes at all, and the only modification done to the vehicle, which was the exhaust, was via Valvetronic, a BMW approved company. I wasn't going to leave a feedback at all, since my view on Mr. Swartz and those like him is that it is not worth my time lowering myself to his level. He considers himself a genius, yet he is a used car sales manager, not what I consider an achievement of any kind. As I was having a casual conversation at work, I was told that he, him specially did the same exact thing to one of my employees, on a BMW X6 trade. He offered them $36,000, they ended up getting $48,000 at BMW of Alexandria. Identical story, Shawn Swartz telling them how horrible their car is, the transmission is making noise, the brakes are bad etc. On a BMW X6 with 19k miles on it. So please careful, and spend your hard-earned money elsewhere. More
The purpose of my review is not to do any dealership bashing or things of that nature, but I'll present the facts, and as a consumer, you can decide if "this can happen to you." I made my first purchase in Feb 2022 on X3 M40 because this dealer had build slots. I'm a repeat customer buying a second M440i x-drive BMW a year later, and neither the Salesman nor the Sales Manager did not offer to provide any DEALERSHIP incentives for being a repeat customer. I had to use my financing to maximize rebate opportunities outside the Dealership. For the record, my credit was in the exceptional range. The Salesman offered up MANUFACTURER rebates, and they passed them off as their own, and in the same conversation, I was told that the Dealership would take care of me. Then I got told again that I had made out on the deal. I understand and know dealership financing and that THEY always make out on the sale! It's hilarious how this Dealership assumed that I didn't see the difference between manufacturer vs. dealer rebate (lack thereof). I would have backed out of the deal; however, it stated on the purchase order that I signed that my $1k deposit was non-refundable. Do you think the Dealership could have done better? In summation, my second $68k purchase in a 14mo period from this Dealership, and all that I received were manufacturer and military rebates and zero consideration from the Dealership. I was their second easy sale and most definitely will be the last. They didn't even offer to tint windows, all-weather floor mats, or anything of the sort. I received Zero perks from this Dealership. Loyalty to a customer can go a long way, especially with the capabilities of AI and social media. More
Had the best experience purchasing a custom build 2024 X5 from Passport BMW. I had the pleasure of dealing with Nathan Tibbetts and he was incredible throughout the whole process. I recently brought my 2016 X5 M into Passport BMW with a cooling problem. Mike Jenkins helped me out, and helped with getting an Enterprise rental car while we waited for parts.
