Went with my son on May 12 to purchase a preowned car that was listed on their website. Everything went very fast paced, papers were given to be signed and taken away immediately not allowing time to cle that was listed on their website. When we got home we noticed the price was $2400 more for the car and they added gap/warranty for an additional $5500 without telling us. When we got home, I asked to have everything corrected and the finance manager Mike said it would cost $1000 more to redo the paperwork. I stated we wouldn't take ownership of the car so they refunded us the price difference and stated we can easily call the bank and take the gap/warranty off. When we contacted the bank, they notified us this wasn't true and the dealership would have to do it and file new loan documents. I"ve called and texted multiple times and always get the same response "sorry, we will handle it" its 2 months later with no resolution. BEWARE - Misrepresentation and Unnecessary Services I've been a loyal customer at Parkway Toyota Services for 3 years, bringing in my RAV4 Prime and consistently experiencing good service-- Services I've been a loyal customer at Parkway Toyota Services for 3 years, bringing in my RAV4 Prime and consistently experiencing good service--coffee, pleasant staff, and timely appointments. However, my recent visit for a regular 30K service, covered under a pre-paid maintenance agreement, left me deeply disappointed. The service advisor recommended a differential fluid change and injector cleaning, costing $400 out-of-pocket. When I questioned this, the advisor claimed these services were listed in the Maintenance Guide and were essential to avoid voiding the warranty. Upon reviewing the Maintenance Guide myself, I found neither of these claims to be true. Despite escalating the issue to management and Toyota corporate, I received no resolution. RECOMMENDATIONS: 1. Carefully check every service item before agreeing to it. 2. Get a second opinion if you have doubts. 3. Read the Maintenance Guide thoroughly before your visit. 4. Share your experiences here if you've faced similar issues. More
