In Mid June we purchased a new Prius III from Prime and worked with Emile Salem. It was by far the best experience I have had in buying a new car. I had shopped around by phone and internet with 8 deale worked with Emile Salem. It was by far the best experience I have had in buying a new car. I had shopped around by phone and internet with 8 dealers in the Boston area. Many were unwilling to give me offers on the phone. In and email I told them I wanted the best offer they could make on a light color, 2010 Prius II, with Blue Logic or Blue tooth. Nearly all said I could come in a drive one. I said I had driven one, and if the dealer made the best offer I would bring my wife to their dealership so she could drive one. All but one I think then made an offer. Prime told me they would beat any written offer I received. I took the lowest one, which was for a Prius III, priced below the others for a Prius II. The saleman told me they didn't currently have a Prius II in stock. I took that offer to Prime, which was the closest to where I live and they said they would make the same offer, give me a lifetime drive train warranty and the free service for two years. When we went in to drive the Prius III I told Emile that I wanted to drive the car we would buy. He asked about color, I told him light. He asked about a white one. I took us to the lot, we drove a car which register 1 mile on the Odometer. I rode in back while my wife drove, somewhat nervously, and Emile wrote in front and was very supportive in helping her to learn the idiosyncrasies of the Prius. Never once did we feel pressured in to making the purchase before we were ready. We were always treated with respect and honesty. I will very certainly recommend Emile to friends and relatives, as well as Prime. I am probably not the average consumer, I have done most of my own repair for 50 years or so. I have done clutches, (Chevys and Peugots) head gaskets (Peugeot), some body work, replacing starters on Toyotas, Pontiacs, BMWs, Chryslers, and shocks on many cars. I tend to have strong opinions about what I like and don't like. I will probably not do much work of my own on the Prius because I have found the service center at Prime very helpful and they have inspired my trust. When I insisted on changing the oil after 2000 miles the first time, they said it wasn't really necessary, but I explained that I still work under the principles for break in as a youth in the 1950s, and they said "it certainly won't hurt." I will probably change on the 5000 mile schedule since most of our driving will be in the city. We have just returned from a round trip drive to Denver where our daughter was having surgery. We drove the car over 5000 miles in 18-19 days. Some days we logged nearly a thousand miles. We found the Prius very comfortable and averaged 50.6 MPG on the round trip and 55.5 from the Continental Divide back to Boston. In Missouri, Kansas, Colorado and Nebraska, the speed limits on the Interstate Defense Highways are 75 MPG. All in all we drove about 800 miles at 79 MPH. It did seem to lower our mileage, but not enough to be concerned about. Today and stopped in at Prime to brag to Emile about the gas mileage, and to thank him for his service and help in purchasing the Prius. He was a joy to do business with. I went in the service department to ask them if I should bring it in to have the tires rotated. They encouraged me to and said it would be covered by the service I had at 2000 miles. Sometimes I think the service department may think me a bit meddlesome (I am. With my BMW I was once told that they didn't want me to talk with the mechanic about a problem I had. I told them if they wanted my business, they would take me to the shop and let him explain the approach he was recommending. I asked if they did what the computer suggested and it didn't work would I be billed for the work. They said "yes." I went to an independent mechanic, we talked about the problem, we replaced the cheapest part in the cooling system at less then ten percent of what BMW wanted to do, which would not have solved the problem, and the car ran another 20,000 until I traded it off). Thus far Prime service people have tolerated my interest in the service of my car and paid me a great deal of respect. While I was at the dealer today, I went to the parts department. And asked what they would recommend for road scum and a covering of dead bugs on the leading ledges of the car. They recommended a spray on product and suggested it would be a good thing to polish it after I used it. I am a gabby, midwestern, retired minister and I have enjoyed every facet of dealing with Prime. The only time I felt any pressure was when the financial agent tried to sell me the add on warranty. I finally succumbed and bought the 100,000 mile bumper to bumper coverage, and feel a little manipulated. But the sales, service, and parts staff could not have been better. I would rate them with an A+ James A. Stillman More

Overall a great experience. I had three other dealerships lined up for that evening, but thankfully I didn't have to leave Prime Toyota. He is person able and friendly and I will certainly recommend him to my friends. Mike Burke was also very knowledgeable and explained everything clearly and concisely. The woman who is the floor manager (I apologize for forgetting her name) was very friendly and greta at putting people at ease. She even remembered my name several days later and remembered the fact that we share birthdays in the same week! Price was the only thing I didn't rate as "Great" but that didn't have anything to do with the salespeople (your price was actually a little lower than other dealers) it is just a frustration with the cost of cars these days.)
