As expected..... I have avoided dealerships from the day I bought my car. The experience from the sale was so horrible I never wanted to go back (this was not Prime H I have avoided dealerships from the day I bought my car. The experience from the sale was so horrible I never wanted to go back (this was not Prime Honda). I have successfully avoided dealerships opting for local mechanic until now. I chose a dealership given the issue at hand - check engine light on and also needed inspection. $1100 later and my car still has a rejection sticker for the inspection. I am positive I can pay $35 (again) at a local gas station and leave with an inspection sticker ca paying the additional $400 that Prine “recommends” I do to get my sticker. I was given an original quote around $650 to fix my check engine light. I got the dreaded (and unfortunately expected) “ut oh....we found a problem once we started the repair... if we do it now it will be $350 if we do it later it will be $550......” i was given a discount only after complaining that I was being charge the full labor rate given my engine was after opened up. Strangely, my local mechanic never seems to have surprise $400 dollar additional “ut oh’s”. Every time I go to a dealership I feel used. With all of the above, the gentleman I worked with was pleasant and better than most. Uber to and from train (free of charge) was appreciated and much better than a single shuttle type service. I had to pick either yes or no on recommendation so while I personally will avoid a dealership until I’m forced to get a new car again, if asked, Prime Honda was better than where I purchased my car (Boch). I will never step foot in that dealership again. Given service is where the $ is made for a dealership,I hate that I always walk out feeling trapped into paying for more than is truly necessary. Even though I already paid $35 towards the inspection (to get the rejected sticker), my choice is pay $400 more at Prime for recommended repairs or pay $35 (again) at a different place and see if my car passes. I’m guessing the latter. If I’m wrong... I happily update this to say I was. However I would bet, it will pass. More

Great Experience I purchased a used 2016 civic from this dealership and was very happy with my experience! I had been driving my first car still that I got when I was 16 (I'm 25 now and it was time to upgrade the '02 Civic). I worked with Derrick and I liked his very laid back demeanor. He never pushed anything and was open and honest about what they could offer me. I went to another Honda and they would not allow me to bring in outside financing and gave me a ridiculous interest rate considering I had excellent credit and no accidents. They also had a minimum amount I could finance which was not in line with the pretty large down payment I wanted to put down. Derrick took the rate I got from AAA and beat it slightly so I was able to finance through the dealership which is way easier and allowed me to finance however much or little that I wanted. Jerry in finance was also great. He made my monthly payments to something I could afford ending in a sale. Very happy with the car so far. More
