It's a regular oil/filter change and tires rotation services. I mentioned that my passenger door seal was wearing out and not sticking to the original position. Unacceptable 5 HOUR wait to buy a car My title says it all. We arrived at 1:45 on a Saturday (Jan. 18) fully prepared to trade in and purchase a new car with title, all keys, and check in My title says it all. We arrived at 1:45 on a Saturday (Jan. 18) fully prepared to trade in and purchase a new car with title, all keys, and check in hand. It is annoying enough that the salesman has to go back and forth with the ‘business manager’ to negotiate a price, but then when we agreed on a price I already got a text (at 4:13) asking for feedback. We we’re still sitting in the showroom waiting to finish! So we waited some more, and more, and more. At some point we were told that since one person handling the finances had called in sick it would be a little while longer. Little while? What is a little while? Why not tell me to leave and come back rather than sitting around for hours on end. I replied to the text an hour later stating that we were waiting...no response. Then another hour later...no response. I guess it’s either unattended or just ignored. Bottom line: the showroom emptied out when it closed at 6:00 yet we were still waiting. We finally got to the paperwork and payment around 6:30, only to be met by an obnoxious person (who earlier I think I had seen outside taking a cigarette break) who criticized everything we brought: bank check? “Who told you to do that? We want a personal check.” Wow, what a lousy way to treat a paying customer and a crappy way to do business. Had we been told during the MANY HOURS we were sitting around, I certainly could have gone home for my checkbook, let alone taken a nap, done two loads of laundry or many other useful things. But no, Prime Honda felt it was best to make us sit around and wait for FIVE HOURS. By the time we left it was close to 7:00. During our long wait the salesman did ask for my insurance agent and insurance company’s names since Prime would take care of transferring the plates. I’m paying for that, of course, so I would expect it to be done in a timely manner, and I had given my agent a head’s up. But no, I had to remind him when my agent (who is fortunately on top of things) Told me she was still waiting for the paperwork five days later. So another round of phone calls, repeating the agent’s name and phone number, making sure it gets done while I’m driving around without registration papers and the inspection sticker. When it was done, you’d think Prime never did this before: I drove up for the sticker and I was sent to go find the papers. They couldn’t be waiting at the service desks? Is this a new process that’s unfamiliar? The customer has to search around the showroom to get registration papers? It just capped off what had been unprofessional and unnecessarily slow all around. This will never happen to me again at Prime. More
Joe and Gregg were wonderful to deal with and Honda came thru. I am disappointed that my car with 28000 miles has had problems for the last 2 years.
