This fee includes so many things such as the time the dealership took your used car into the dealership to do an oil change, change windshield wipers, cabin air filters and run it through a car wash! Super justifiable isn't it! Horrible experience. I was looking into a used car and talked to a salesman named David. He was totally unprepared to answer my questions and always had to speak to his manager and call me back just to give me an answer. When we spoke about this safety and recon fee, he had the worst explanations that did not justify paying $1895 on top of the car fee. The part that humored me the most was he said that no one ever has complained about this fee and it looked like I was the first person to ever see it. I guess I just like saving $1895 instead of wasting it on a dealership scam ploy to get more money out of you. His manager didn't seem to budge or have a good reason onto why this cost is $1895. Literally sent me one PDF regarding service work that included oil change, brake fluid, adding a license plate mount, cabin air filter. These parts are no where near maybe even $200. So I guess labor costs $1600 so be careful when you bring your car here to service. The funny thing is that David offered that I can pay half of this fee and the dealer will pay the other half. This totally means there's room to negotiate and the fees are fluff. HOWEVER, there was ONE GOOD THING about this dealership. IF I CAN GIVE HER 5 STARS, I WOULD. I want to shout out Danielle who helped me. She is the sales concierge. SHE IS AMAZING. She took care of me and was super attentive to my needs during this time. She took the time to help fight for me to get rid of this fee because the awesome salesman couldn't do anything. She even took the time to FACETIME me to show me the car because I live out of state. She was constant on communication and I was so impressed. She is literally the only good thing about that dealership so if you get to meet her, you're going to be blessed. The one star is for the dealership, Danielle gets 5+ stars. More
