I have purchased 6 cars in my lifetime, and Lexington Ford and the Finance Manager: Tyler Smith, ensured that my experience at Parkway Ford of Lexington was by far the most unprofessional, unenjoyable, d Ford and the Finance Manager: Tyler Smith, ensured that my experience at Parkway Ford of Lexington was by far the most unprofessional, unenjoyable, dishonest, and frustrating experience I have encountered at a time where I should be enjoying and celebrating my 90k purchase. Where do I begin… 1. I applied for a loan from Knoxville with the intention of purchasing a 2024 Raptor. I applied with a co-signer, and was quoted a rate. Come to find out in order to “ensure I had the best rate possible” Tyler swapped the primary and secondary applicants without my permission. 2. When quoted the rate, I was told only 72 month terms were available. Only until the manager pitched the warranty’s and maintenance plans was the 84 month term magically available at the same interest rate I was probably quoted for the 72 month term. 4. Once I had applied I was told my co-signer had to be there in person to sign, which unfortunately she had to work. So the dealership offered to deliver the vehicle 120miles… at my expense ($300). When I asked about the delivery and whether or not I would still receive a full tank of gas, I was told I wouldn’t as they would deliver it minus the fuel they expended. 5. On the day of delivery, I received a text saying the truck couldn’t be delivered because one of the drivers was sick. I said this was unacceptable and that was my only availability. After some back and forth and got my truck delivered. 6. After the numbers had been crunched over the phone with the finance manager: Tyler Smith, before delivery, I requested copies of the finance documents so that any possible issues could be addressed before their driver drove 4 hours…. Tyler failed to email the documents.. which caused many issues (see below). His excuse was that “He was the only one there”. 7. Once the driver arrived with the documents, there were countless issues. The make of my previous truck was misspelled on all documents, my address was wrong, my payoff was wrong, my co-signer was listed as an owner on my trade in (which she is not) etc. When I brought up the incorrect pay off amount, instead of offering to correct his mistake, Tyler simply said: “Well, they’ll send you a check in the mail for the amount of the overage”. 8. As we began to go over the documents and I expressed my concerns and questions over not being listed on key documents despite being the primary owner, and all the aforementioned discrepancies, Tyler continued to get more frustrated and would continue to say and repeat “Trust me”, “listen, I do this for a living” “Oh, that document document doesn’t even matter, you can rip it up for all I care” 9. After getting frustrated with all the issues, I asked Tyler to speak to the manger. His response was “I AM THE MANAGER! If you don’t like it, I can have the driver take the truck back right now”. To which I replied that he was not the GM, and that I wanted to speak with the GM right away. According to Tyler; the GM was not in…. 10. After sitting down with Tyler remotely, and having to make countless pen and ink changes to the documents, we were finally able to get them signed. 11. Once the docs were signed and finalized, we realized that the dealership failed to send the spare key with the driver; and have agreed to mail it to me. 12. When Tyler finally sent me my “finalized documents”, he sent me an unprofessional and blank email, with no greeting, no email body, and only the attachment… Not to mention, all the corrections that needed to be made were done by hand, pen and ink, with a contract that is full of line-outs. 13. The dealership failed to provide me with a Ford Owners Card listing my 5 digit factory pin, and therefore I cannot program my door without removing passenger side panels. 14. They were supposed to give me a 30 day temporary plate, but they got the month wrong on the plate… therefore my temporary plate expired the date of my purchase More
