A serious injury made it so I had to switch cars when I loved what I had so I was in tears at one point. The Kia Soul is easier to get into. I bought one before from a dealership that lied to me about product issues. The car I was looking at sold the day before and we'd worked out the price I needed. I didn't like the other colors so I'd decided I'd go to the other dealership that lied when she text me they got 2 cars in overnight. I called her and she did all she could to get me into the car with what I could pay. Usually I don't like car salespeople. I've been judged as unable to pay cash when I was and treated quite badly. Kelly was everything the rude salespeople lack. Everything was easier. She feels like a friend, and by something she shared about helping her grandma, I know she's a wonderful person! She helped me with my walker and everything I needed while there. The Kia is less than a day old, but smoother than the 2012 or 2016. I always drive with a light foot and my Kia is getting 45.3 mpg average so far, with 63 miles on it. I didn't expect that! I love that you really can go down a road with 2 lines in your lane and not hold the steering wheel! She showed me that feature. She showed me many features including that if stopped and traffic moves the car tells you if you don't go. The interstate had an accident on my way home and I was looking at the computer when traffic started and the car let me know with a gentle beep. It has so many features and drives so smoothly, unlike my older Kia's. It's also quite in the cabin. I remember my 2016, I hated making calls. It was noisy. This one wasn't. Despite crying over hafting to switch to an SUV, by the time I drove home, I was enjoying my 2024 Soul LX. I'm about 4'11 and I can see over the steering wheel without sitting on a thick pad, like I've had to do, also. I felt like the car is safer because of height and weight. My 2012 Kia, I loved, was hit at a red light by a truck exiting the interstate and not stopping. Firemen and Paramedics said my car held up really well considering. It was totaled, but didn't look it. The front was thrown into the car in front of me, and damaged the Honda a lot, yet the front of my 2012 Kia didn't have a scratch on the front! I know that this SUV is safer than my car which was very low, but ran perfectly and was so nice. It hurt too bad to get in or out anymore, especially with pending surgery.
