Rude, Threatening, Terrible Customer Service Scott Wright was terrible, threatening, and rude. Worst customer service I have ever experienced in a span of a TEN minute visit to this dealership. Scott Wright was terrible, threatening, and rude. Worst customer service I have ever experienced in a span of a TEN minute visit to this dealership. We planned to return the Hyundai Elantra because the lease was at its end date; this was an adult conversation, absolutely no yelling or cursing. However, there were definitely some misunderstandings with the initial lease agreement that my father and I wanted to resolve. First off, he called on the morning of 5/1/2017 at 11:30AM from a NO CALLER ID (I have screenshots to prove). Isn't it strange that a car dealership salesman would call you with a No Caller ID when he is aware that you are trying to return your car at the end of a three-year lease? Second, we arrived and tried to discuss a fee that would be imposed upon the lease return. However, my father and I were under the impression that this fee did not exist, due to the initial agreement with the original dealer, when we leased the car back in May of 2014. My father has email correspondence with the original dealer to verify. This original dealer is no longer at Parks of Gainesville Hyundai. Scott explained to us that the dealers did not have the direct influence with the fees imposed, and that we would need to talk to Hyundai Finance. Scott conveyed to us that the only way the return fee would be waived contractually, was if we bought or leased a car with him. This evidently, is when the frustration sank in with my father, however, the words, "We refuse to pay this fee." - was never uttered. All that we were trying to resolve was a miscommunication from the original dealer and negotiate. Scott made no attempts to resolve the issue, or go into more detail with the explanation. Throughout this entire conversation with Scott, which was sitting at his desk for no longer than 10 minutes, there was no yelling, profanity, or offensive insults exchanged. But Scott interpreted our frustration and responded in a manner by saying, "I am not feeling a warm and fuzzy tone, so I’m going to talk to my manager." Scott then returned and immediately told us he was not comfortable with us returning the car with him and repeated, "You can either choose to buy or sign a new lease for the fee to be waived but I have no control of your original lease." Immediately following, without even waiting for our response, Scott’s said, "You need to leave this property or I will call the police." Scott may have no fault with the original fee involved but he then chose to threaten to call the police to force us to leave the property, when again, FACTUALLY, we had done nothing wrong in terms of there was no violence, profanity, or insults exchanged. Literally, we had to stand up from his desk in utter shock at how poorly we were being treated. When my father said that he would call Hyundai Finance, Scott then responded by telling us to drive out now or that he would call the police. Scott threatened to kick us off the premises even though there was no violence or argument involved. Parks of Gainesville says they pride themselves on EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE. The thing is, in my past three years with this dealership, I really respect and like the guys at the service department. Joey and Sam at Hyundai service are familiar faces and every single time I've come in for service, they've been nothing but friendly, courteous, and hardworking to my leased vehicle. BUT the guys at the front desk, salespeople and dealers who deal with commission, they're a different story. Never in my life have my father and I been treated so terribly in the span of 10 minutes by a customer service representative. I have a lot of things that I can say about Scott, but the way he treated my father and I and the way he spoke to us, Scott and the Hyundai manager should be ASHAMED of themselves. Scott may have experience dealing with clients who are ready to sign a lease and/or buy a car, which is beneficial for his commission, but when dealing with returns, I’m not so sure. We were at Scott's desk for less than 10 minutes before he forced us out, which depicts his lack of patience and unprofessionalism when dealing with clients. This review is NOT BECAUSE OF THE FEE. It’s because of POOR TREATMENT. My father was adamant that there was miscommunication regarding the fee, which would be at my father’s expense – and we brought email verification to convey our point. Instead of being able to have an engaging and thoughtful conversation from a salesman who should reflect the ideals of customer service, my father and I were treated like garbage and thrown out when we had done absolutely nothing wrong legally, physically, or verbally. Parks of Gainesville Hyundai always says that pride themselves in exceptional customer service. In the end though, I was absolutely appalled by the rotten and extremely inappropriate treatment we received. More

He was kind, patient, a pleasure to talk to, and was helpful throughout the entire car buying process. I would recommend, and will recommend, to anyone to go visit Rudy next time they need to purchase a car. If I could have given higher than a 5-star rating, I would have! From the minute we arrived at the dealership we were treated with respect and compassion. Our salesman was John Haller and he made us feel welcome immediately. There was no pressure whatsoever, only a great deal of information and after along day of comparing models from other dealerships, we arrived back at Parks to begin negotiating her first deal. John and Fergus were so helpful and bent over backwards to make the best possible deal for my daughter that felt good for both of us. The paperwork was completed so quickly and without hassle. This was not the best part of the experience though...the service after the sale was as impressive as the buying experience itself. My daughter and I were called by John and Fergus for days after the sale to make sure that everything was good and that we were still satisfied with the purchase. Overall this was a fantastic buying experience and I would highly recommend Parks Hyundai, John Haller, and Fergus for your next purchase...you will not be disappointed! More
