Monday mornin My experience with the service department started out ok. We had to have my mother's vehicle towed off the interstate on a Sunday night. Monday morning Jessie, the service tech called to get the OK to do the $85 diagnostics. Unfortunately that is where the good ran out. Basically nothing happened for the next 2 days. We called to get an update on what would need to be done and either Jessie wasn't available or she didn't know anything. Finally we got word from her that they needed a special part (hose) that was an a manufacturer back order, but she could pay an extra $60 to have it overnighted from another dealer. Since we were paying daily for a rental car at this point, time was of the essence we agreed to have it overnighted. What happened from here is still a mystery. We were told by Jessie that the hose came in, was installed and the test was performed to indicate her transmission was shot and she needed a new one. This was not a surprise, we assumed so from the time all the fluid ran out all over the road. Their price to replace was over 4K. A few calls to a local transmission shop brought the price down to a little over 2K. My mother called to pay her current bill at Ford so that the transmission shop could come tow her car to their shop and do the transmission replacement work there. Nobody seemed to know what her actual bill was, it took someone named Gus, who was the only friendly, knowledgeable person we encountered over there, several minutes to get a balance straightened out. She paid $400 and all they did was diagnose that she needed a new 4K transmission. They didn't fix or repair anything. When the car go to the transmission shop I wanted to be sure that the special hose she had to pay extra for that was critical to the transmission was actually installed and she didn't have to pay for that a second time. It was not. This is where is gets really interesting. The mechanic at the transmission shop explained that yes the hose for her vehicle was on national back order and no it was not on her car, instead bulk fuel line had been left in its place. I was told that Richard Clay the service manager from Parks Ford actually went down to the transmission shop to verify for himself that the hose was not there. Richard told me at that time that the reason the hose she paid for wasn't installed is because he car had been modified with non-factory parts in the past and the hose from the manufacturer would not work. The mechanic at the transmission place said that was absolutely false and that he didn't find non-factory parts on the vehicle at all. Richard initiated what he called a "good-will" refund of $100 check to be sent in the mail to my mom. The gesture seemed nice until I asked for a copy of the invoice she paid at Ford and saw that nothing had been itemized except the $69.20 for the hose and $308 for labor. When I questioned Richard about where he came up with a $100 refund since the labor charges weren't specified on the invoice he finally sent me an e-mail trying to justify how they worked for all these hours on her car to diagnose a problem. I tried to explain that the $100 wasn't a good will anything, it was refunding her money for something they charged her for that they did not give her! I am sure they charged her more than $30 in labor to install this hose, but I wouldn't know because they apparently didn't have a detailed account of what they did. Bottom line is that I think she owes them for the diagnostics she agreed to. The rest of the $400 is bogus. The communication was terrible, the customer service was awful. I felt like they were being dishonest and rude to my 63 year old mother. More
I was not looking for a car when we visited, my husband was having a repair on his truck. We were in town visiting our daughter and family.I was passing the time looking at the used vehivles, when a sale was having a repair on his truck. We were in town visiting our daughter and family.I was passing the time looking at the used vehivles, when a sales rep, Jon Buck, came out to help me. I told him we would be looking in the near futre for a trade, but i had a lot of wants and have to's on the next vehicle. I told him my wants and he took me to a Ford Escape that had everything i needed and wanted. My husband had gone with a service man to get a rental car and when he returned...i had bought a car! I was never pressured and they listened when i said something, answering any questions i had with an honest answer. My oversll experience? We will go back when my husband trades his truck - a 6 hour round trip! More
Went to have my tires replaced and found rear cylinders leaking from previous visit and tierods worn. Upon completion, on the way home I found the parking brake not working and returned to the dealership. leaking from previous visit and tierods worn. There Dustin, who had been talking with me all day in a friendly manner offered to show me a new Escape and eventually worked out a deal on a new 2014 with a trade on my old Escape. More
The problem I keep encountering is that every time they service my vehicle, they break something else. If they fix a window switch, they break the door lock. They fix a tire and mess up the brake pads. The service my vehicle, they break something else. If they fix a window switch, they break the door lock. They fix a tire and mess up the brake pads. They replace the battery and break a battery terminal. And of course this is all due to the vehicle 'being so old' (9 years old with 80K on it and meticulously cared for). Oh, and guess who pays for all of the repairs for the things they break? You got it - I do. If they were not the only game in town I would go anywhere else in a heartbeat, but if you want Ford parts they are the only option. Good luck to you if they fix/break/fix anything on your car. More

I brought my Hyundai Santa Fe in for service and left with a '13 Santa Fe! It was one of the easiest buying experiences I've had, and I've had more than a "few". Steven Smith was very helpful throughout the whole experience and the car was exactly what I had hoped it would be. The product is fabulous, the dealership and Bobby in Finance were both exceptional, and Steven was never once pushy or phony. He's been thorough in his follow-up--even though I have had NO complaints--and really listens. I would recommend Gainesville Lincoln/For and Hyundai for your auto purchase. More
After Duval Mazda closed down, I went to Ford to get my oil changed in my Mazda3 every 3-5k miles. It's always been expensive for an oil change because it's a dealership, but the last time I went in there oil changed in my Mazda3 every 3-5k miles. It's always been expensive for an oil change because it's a dealership, but the last time I went in there for a oil change appt, Justin informed me that I had a nail in my tire and told me it'd be $49 to patch. I usually got my tire patched for free where I'm originally from so I didn't know how much it is to get it patched normal now that I live in Gainesville. Well, I found out $49 is NOT normal. I was so disappointed to find out I could go to Discount Tire and get it patched for free ANYTIME I want! Even the places I could go and pay would be MAYBE $15. Don't try to convince me that they are the only ones that can do a quality job on PATCHING A TIRE! $50 is a LOT OF MONEY! After finding this out, I will never be going back here for an oil change again, which I already knew was pricey to begin with. Ford has forever lost my business and I will let everyone hear about it this $50 tire patch. More
