Make Sure You Get What You Pay For! My experience with the service department started out ok. We had to have my mother's vehicle towed off the interstate on a Sunday night. Monday mornin My experience with the service department started out ok. We had to have my mother's vehicle towed off the interstate on a Sunday night. Monday morning Jessie, the service tech called to get the OK to do the $85 diagnostics. Unfortunately that is where the good ran out. Basically nothing happened for the next 2 days. We called to get an update on what would need to be done and either Jessie wasn't available or she didn't know anything. Finally we got word from her that they needed a special part (hose) that was an a manufacturer back order, but she could pay an extra $60 to have it overnighted from another dealer. Since we were paying daily for a rental car at this point, time was of the essence we agreed to have it overnighted. What happened from here is still a mystery. We were told by Jessie that the hose came in, was installed and the test was performed to indicate her transmission was shot and she needed a new one. This was not a surprise, we assumed so from the time all the fluid ran out all over the road. Their price to replace was over 4K. A few calls to a local transmission shop brought the price down to a little over 2K. My mother called to pay her current bill at Ford so that the transmission shop could come tow her car to their shop and do the transmission replacement work there. Nobody seemed to know what her actual bill was, it took someone named Gus, who was the only friendly, knowledgeable person we encountered over there, several minutes to get a balance straightened out. She paid $400 and all they did was diagnose that she needed a new 4K transmission. They didn't fix or repair anything. When the car go to the transmission shop I wanted to be sure that the special hose she had to pay extra for that was critical to the transmission was actually installed and she didn't have to pay for that a second time. It was not. This is where is gets really interesting. The mechanic at the transmission shop explained that yes the hose for her vehicle was on national back order and no it was not on her car, instead bulk fuel line had been left in its place. I was told that Richard Clay the service manager from Parks Ford actually went down to the transmission shop to verify for himself that the hose was not there. Richard told me at that time that the reason the hose she paid for wasn't installed is because he car had been modified with non-factory parts in the past and the hose from the manufacturer would not work. The mechanic at the transmission place said that was absolutely false and that he didn't find non-factory parts on the vehicle at all. Richard initiated what he called a "good-will" refund of $100 check to be sent in the mail to my mom. The gesture seemed nice until I asked for a copy of the invoice she paid at Ford and saw that nothing had been itemized except the $69.20 for the hose and $308 for labor. When I questioned Richard about where he came up with a $100 refund since the labor charges weren't specified on the invoice he finally sent me an e-mail trying to justify how they worked for all these hours on her car to diagnose a problem. I tried to explain that the $100 wasn't a good will anything, it was refunding her money for something they charged her for that they did not give her! I am sure they charged her more than $30 in labor to install this hose, but I wouldn't know because they apparently didn't have a detailed account of what they did. Bottom line is that I think she owes them for the diagnostics she agreed to. The rest of the $400 is bogus. The communication was terrible, the customer service was awful. I felt like they were being dishonest and rude to my 63 year old mother. More

We worked with Greg. Well after a few weeks of searching, we decided to go the New car route and recalled the pleasant experience with Greg Cox at Parks Ford Lincoln. He was able to explain the process to us very well and facilitated our transaction smoothly. Mike, the finance manager, was a professional as well, through and through. This dealership comes highly recommended. You will not be disappointed More

This being my first time really car shopping, I was worried after all the horror stories of car salesman. But this place by far was the best experience I have ever had. John was awesome, and I am glad he wasn't pushy, he let me lead the way. I got what I wanted, plus more. I will recommend him to anyone, and as much as I hate the sticker on the car for the dealership, I will keep it there because I am so happy with them. I will return there again someday. More
