Got me back on the road in less than an hour! I was traveling from south Florida to my home in Texas hauling 3 horses. I had had my truck serviced at Al Packer Ford in Wellington the previous wee I was traveling from south Florida to my home in Texas hauling 3 horses. I had had my truck serviced at Al Packer Ford in Wellington the previous week to address the exhaust fluid light and told them there was a recall on it. They said they filled it and all should be ok. However, driving up the turnpike the light kept coming on and then warned me that it would be empty and my speed couldn't be over 55 mph. I wasn't sure if it really was empty or if there was a computer malfunction. I called the closest dealership which was Parks Ford in Gainesville, Fl and the young woman, Jackie, I spoke to said come right on and that they could accommodate my big rig. Service manager Richard Clay helped me and I explained I was on the road and still had a long day ahead of me. He directed me to the truck service area, and a technician was there within minutes analyzing the problem. Fortunately, all that was needed was more exhaust fluid and there didn't seem to be a leak. Meanwhile one of the young men that worked there helped me water and give hay to the horses who enjoyed the short break from the road. I was back on the road within 30 minutes. Finally I've found a customer-centric dealership that I would recommend to anyone looking for a new car. As a retired Navy officer and quality manager in my second career, I admit that I have very high expectations in the area of customer service. Parks Ford Lincoln of Gainesville exceeded my expectations. We dealt with four employees, Cory Thornell, Liana Rabinovich, Michael Grimaldi and Jackie Fralic. All of them were professional, friendly, courteous, and helpful in the purchase of our new Ford Edge. Liana Rabinovich was our initial sales contact, and she was most helpful in our selection of the Ford Edge. Cory Thornell handled the remainder of our purchase and was the epitome of my vision of the perfect sales consultant. Michael Grimaldi, General Sales Manager, reviewed our offer and we quickly settled on a price that made us happy. Performance of the vehicle in entering and driving on the interstate was a primary concern for me as was the question of whether the vehicle would fit in my garage due to a fairly steep slope at the entrance. Michael Grimaldi readily agreed for us to test drive the Edge on the interstate and take it to our home to see if there was a problem getting it into the garage. We drove down I-75 to our home in SW Gainesville. During the drive, Cory Thornell answered many of our questions about the vehicle and its many features. It was like taking a drive with an old friend. At our home, Cory kept a lookout for clearance as I drove the Edge into the garage. There was ample clearance, so our decision was made. Back at the dealership, Jackie Fralic handled the financial portion of our purchase. Jackie has a very pleasant personality, and she professionally and quickly completed our purchase paperwork. Cory Thornell delivered the Edge to us, answered all of our remaining questions, and invited us to call him if any new questions arose. Overall, this was a great car-buying experience, and I would most highly recommend Cory Thornell and this dealership to anyone who wants an outstanding customer service experience. More
