I give 4.5 stars to Parker Johnstone's Honda. I scheduled a test drive online and received a confirmation text within the hour. By the luck of the draw Gaylen was scheduled to facilitate my test drive the fo a test drive online and received a confirmation text within the hour. By the luck of the draw Gaylen was scheduled to facilitate my test drive the following day. She was so kind, calming, and really took her time showing me all of the cool features that came equipped with the 2018 Honda Civic EX before I test drove the car. I sincerely can't say enough positive things about my experience with her, she knows what she's doing! Please do yourself a favor and request Gaylen as your Sales Rep. you will not be disappointed. Not only did she answer all of my questions, she totally understood where I was coming from when I let her know that I scheduled another test drive for a similar car at Beaverton Honda. My experience at Beaverton was lackluster, and test driving at both locations within hours of each other really put into perspective that not all dealerships are equal. I drove back to Wilsonville to purchase the car. The process was a little long but that's what you sign up for when buying a car. Now, I would have LOVED to give these folks 5 stars but I honestly can't do it, and here is why - After taking my dream car home and parking it in my garage, I noticed that the passenger side marker light was popped out of place and then I saw that the bumper was not flush. My heart sank. How could I have not seen the bumper misalignment before making such a large purchase?! I figured that the side marker was just missing a clip though, my main concern was the bumper. I felt sick to my stomach with anxiety. How could this sort of issue be okay on a "Honda Certified" car? I purchased the car on Saturday July 3rd shortly before they closed and they were closed on the 4th. I called Gaylen Monday morning and sent pictures. She was kind and asked me to bring the car back. When I arrived, the service team was able to pop the side marker light back in but they wanted me to leave the car overnight so they could look at the bumper situation. They gave me a loaner, free of charge which I sincerely appreciated. The following day when I went to pick the car back up they didn't really have any explanation as to why/how this could have happened and I was told "So many folks were around this car, I don't know how this could have not been on our radar" (or something along those lines). I got the feeling that they were insinuating that I must have done something to the car in the short amount of time that I had it. That couldn't be further from the truth! They were not apologetic, never said sorry, and while they were kind and took care of the work free of charge, I really wanted some sort of acknowledgment for the oversight and inconvenience that this caused. I have family members who work on cars and if this issue was in any way my fault, I would have just taken it to them. But since this issue happened within hours of purchase, I figured it was Honda’s responsibility to take a look. I live a hour away and this should have never been a problem on a Honda Certified purchase. Again, I want to give these folks 5 stars but my experience with the bumper/side marker would have gone better with an apology. More
