I bought a CPO XC90 and they did a great job on the reconditioning on everything except the front passenger door handle. I waited over a week after the morning of my test drive for them to finish the r reconditioning on everything except the front passenger door handle. I waited over a week after the morning of my test drive for them to finish the reconditioning and so I thought that would have been fixed as part of it since they paid close attention to everything else. Anyways, my sales person was Joe Barbee and I give him 5 + stars for a smooth and painless sale that honored both our time. He was professional and courteous the entire time keeping me up to date on the status of the car as well as what he needed throughout the process. I can’t say enough great things about Joe but the service reconditioning department fell short for me with the passenger door handle. More

I called Park Place Volvo Service Dept. and asked how I could unlock the doors so I could jump the battery. (I had forgotten about the valet key on the fob.) The service dept. told me they would come and tow the car in and replace the battery, saying nothing about the valet key. I said, "No, thank you." I called a locksmith who came and showed me the valet key and charged me $100 for the information. Why couldn't the Service Dept. have given me this info? I sent the GM an email regarding this incident two weeks ago but still have not had a response from him. Is this any way to treat a potential customer?? More

My wife and I have been looking for a family SUV for a while. We have visited a number of local dealers, including Lexus, Mazda, Audi and Volvo. For Volvo, we have visited two dealers in the DFW area. Whe while. We have visited a number of local dealers, including Lexus, Mazda, Audi and Volvo. For Volvo, we have visited two dealers in the DFW area. When we met Mariette at Park Place Volvo, we felt at ease and we purchased a new XC60 on the spot! We were very much impressed by Mariette's knowledge of Volvo, her honesty, and her professionalism. She is kind, smart, and straightforward. This is by far the best car-buying experience I have ever had over the last 30 years. Thank you so much, Mariette! Best regards, Richard More

On 12/29/2020 I looked at and bought a used 2014 Lexus at Park Place Volvo. Here are the highlights if you don't wanna read the detail below these 4 points: 1) Never accept a dealer fee that they can't show you in detail what it's for. You have to be willing to walk away at any time. I didn't do that, my mistake. 2) Make sure you get copies of all the paperwork you sign before you leave the dealership. It was over a month after I bought and picked up the car before I had their paperwork. 3) If you need something on the car fixed before you pick it up, then put it in writing. Luckily for me, Connor did a good job having two minor issues fixed before I picked up the car in early January. 4) If the dealership continues to ask you for paperwork that you have to provide them months after you purchased the car, then ask more questions until you know what they need and why. Bottom Line: All the people I dealt with at Park Place were nice and most tried to help me, but at this point, it's been 4 months and my car is still not registered, titled and I have no plates even though I let them know I could do it myself if they just returned a portion of their license fee. I wouldn't buy a car from their dealership again after the paperwork fiasco and confusion I dealt with trying to figure out who was getting my car titled, registered and plates. Connor was my sales rep. He was very helpful picking me up at the airport on 12/29 since I came in from out of town. The car was ready to check out and test drive, so after about 30 min doing that, Connor and I went to his desk to talk about the details. After a few minutes, he wrote up a 'Personalized quote' with the car price, sales tax, $150 doc fee, $78 license fee and a few other small costs. I looked it over and said 'ok, sounds good.' Connor went in another office and came back with a 'Client proposal' doc that showed the same fees except the license fee increased to $585. I said 'whoa, what's going on with the $585 license fee?' He said it's an estimate that TX requires to pay for the licensing of the car. At that point, I should've said 'no deal' since I didn't know what TX requires, but I took his word for it and said 'fine.' My mistake. We went ahead with the purchase signing the paperwork that the dealership required. My mistake #2: Never be in a rush to sign paperwork. I had to make a plane flight to return home in a couple hours or I'd be stuck in Dallas. We finished the paperwork and I got to my flight. I came back in early January and drove the car home. In late Jan, I realized I still had no paperwork from the dealership. I called Park Place on 1/29 and Connor emailed me the paperwork on 2/1. On 2/10, Connor contacts me to say he needs emission test docs and a VIN inspection for the title department. I send him the docs. On 3/1, he contacts me again and said he needs a copy of the loan doc, so I send it to him. On 3/8, Connor contacts me asking for a copy of the loan doc w my signature, so I send him one and ask 'what's going on here?' He told me the bank and title company have specific items they require and he's sorry for the run around. Ok, thx. On 3/23, Park Place's title manager emails me apologizing for the doc run around, but she needs an original signature on the loan doc. I send it to her. She also explains that Park Place is getting plates and registering my car. I said 'that's news to me. Nobody at Park Place ever told me your dealership is registering and getting plates for my car. thx for letting me know 3 months after I bought it.' On 4/8, I contact the title manager and ask her if she knows how long it'll be before the registration and plates are ready. She can't get a date when it'll be done. On 4/16, I contact Park Place to let them how frustrated I am with their registration and plate vendor. I tell them I can register and get plates for the car myself today. I ask them to have a sales manager contact me to return a portion of my license fee so I can register and get plates for my car. As of 4/19, I have yet to hear back from anyone at Park Place. More
