You see I am 7 months pregnant with my first child. Single and pregnant buying a car is the last thing on my mind. I go to get my car detailed and install the new car seat for my expected bundle of joy and it wouldn't fit. You don't know the background but this was my breaking point. I sat on my garage floor and began to bawl (7 months =s HORMONAL) I called my business associate and off to Park Place we went. This would be our 4th car. I walked in, in workout pants, t-shirt and hat, not the cute Country Club workout pants and (WESTSIDE) look either. I looked like I was homeless. John greeted me with a giant smile and handshake. He made me feel like his only customer of the day. I honestly thought they would be annoyed with me as I was just going to "look around" I was expecting to price/get a used something or another. I drove out of there with a SHOWROOM FLOOR model. I was blown away at how amazing and EASY it was. I walked in stressed out to no avail, literally in tears I had to dry before walking in, I HATE doing things like this (buying a car) and this experience was not only easy but actually pleasant. It did not stop there. I had to bring the car in so they could teach me how to use it, yet another thing I HATE to do. But I knew John would walk me through it step by step so I was a little at ease. Well, I forgot that John was not in, he actually was out of town DONATING a vital organ to his sister. (These are the type of people that work for Park Place Motors in Fort Worth.... So, I was a little scared as I am not the easiest person to grasp anything electronic. But....I was introduced to Brandon who instantly made me feel just like John had. I was the only customer in the place. ( I wasn't they were packed) As we were figuring out the brains of my new Mercedes we found that the vehicle I initially bought did not have the options I "needed" You can only imagine my disappointment and stress. I just knew I was going to be talked out of my "Dream Car" I figured they would just say "sorry" you get what you get and send me on my way. COMPLETE opposite. This is how the conversation went: Bob (who bought my old car) "So what do you want to do Miss Gibson? Me: Ummm...I dont know. I want it to work. Bob: Well it wont with this vehicle. We can get you in another one? Me: (Ummm.. But I love the color of this one?: "Yes I know a girl thing to say" Bob: We will get you in exactly what you want and need. Pauses to call Brandon in. Brandon: Come with me, lets see what we can find. Me: Quite. Brandon: Found one. Good News its the color and all the bells and whistles you want. Bad news its a year newer. Me: I cant go over my budget, Im sorry. Very sad. Brandon: Do you like it? No do you "love" it? Me: Yes. Brandon: Then done. We will get you in it. It will take about an hour to get all the paperwork, would you like some coffee or water while you wait Miss Gibson? And just like that they did exactly what they said. Put me into the exact vehicle I wanted. It was that easy. To top it off, he came out and helped me with exchanging my stuff from one vehicle to the other in the heat. Didn't look twice at the face that I had been carrying two dogs and a baby seat already in the vehicle before I had only for a week. Brandon then sat with me and walked me through step by step on how to use my new treasure. Never once making me feel dumb. Did I mention in all of this I wanted to make sure John still got my sale. Not only did he get my sale but all the guys while John is out recuperating from donating his organ are donating their time to any and all of Johns clients. He will not miss any revenue. Park Place Motors is more than a car place. They build a strong sense of ownership, partnership, and Familyship (Not a word I know) but it should be. You feel like you belong to a family with Park Place Motors Mercedes in Fort Worth. More
