I recently purchased a used Acura TL from Mark Dresselhuys in the pre-owned area. In the past, I've had bad opinions about most car salesmen due to my interactions with them making them appear qu Dresselhuys in the pre-owned area. In the past, I've had bad opinions about most car salesmen due to my interactions with them making them appear quite sketchy and scary. Either Mark isn't a typical car salesman, or Park Place is WAY above par, or both. He was so transparent and genuine that I could really tell that he cared about me from the start, and wasn't just after my money. I was very impressed that they wouldn't sell me something that couldn't pass a pretty rigorous state inspection. In fact, Mark sealed the deal with me on another car before I got the TL, but when they were inspecting it they noticed something wrong that would take thousands to fix. I told them I’d even pay more if they’d fix it in house. He said they’d only charge me for parts since it was their fault. We decided to pass, because parts would have been around $3k or so. After the deal fell through I started looking at some more pricey, but more boring cars. I was ready to follow through on a mediocre deal, because I just needed to replace my wrecked car ASAP. Instead of allowing me to pay more for something I found bland, he mentioned another sporty and fun car that they had in stock even though it was cheaper. I was even more impressed at this point, because he wouldn’t snake me to make a buck, even though I don’t know much about cars. Let it be known, I've never written a good review for ANY car dealership, not ever. My previous car purchase was a pre-certified pre-owned Honda from a dealership. I felt that transaction was pretty good, but I most certainly didn't trust the sales guy, and definitely felt just a tad screwed after the whole ordeal. The difference here is that without knowing Mark or his reputation, he was able to keep my trust from the beginning to the end of the transaction by being honest and genuine. Never once did I feel I'd been screwed by Park Place or by Mark. Furthermore, he's called twice after our transaction was complete to make sure the car was doing well, and that’s not even counting the call I should get soon notifying me my plates are in. I have already told my family and many of my friends about this transaction, and they are impressed as well. You should definitely deal with Mark if you’re looking for someone you can really trust. The buying experience was so simple and streamlined especially when compared to other brands/dealerships. Financing took 30 minutes or less. My new car was ready for me when I finished the paperwork. Jimmy had transferred my personal items to my new car, had it heated and showed me how to use the new features not on my previous RX350. I highly recommend your service department and your prepaid service plan. I had the door ding plan on my first RX350 and purchased it again. So worth the money for both. I want to keep my baby in showroom condition. Nigel Loweth is my favorite service manager. He makes sure everything is perfect when I leave. I have recommended Park Place to anyone considering new or preowned. More
