Great Experience I came into David McDavid of Acura Plano looking for a vehicle to finance and was welcomed by Tim. I was already anxious because this was my first tim I came into David McDavid of Acura Plano looking for a vehicle to finance and was welcomed by Tim. I was already anxious because this was my first time financing a vehicle, but Tim was polite and accommodating to me for the entire financing process. He answered all of my questions and was not trying to pressure me into making purchases outside of my price range like other dealerships I'd recently gone to, were doing. He made sure I had all of my interest rate options covered and helped me figure out the best route to go with low cost financing, he even got me some money out of the junker car I was trading in that I was honestly not expecting to get anything out of. I felt like he was genuinely taking my needs to heart and that this wasn't just another sale to him. It was a great experience, would definitely recommend him. More
Honest... Simply Honest and Great to Deal with I walked in and made eye contact with Tim as soon as I stepped into the dealership. He greeted me and introduced himself in a highly professional manner. I told him the vehicle I was interested in and he immediately went to work. We test drove the vehicle (Audi A5). Once we got back to the dealership, he asked me did I have any questions or concerns. I had none. He then proceeded to ask me what I wanted to do. I told him I wanted that car. After filling out the application and then speaking with the Sales Director, I waited a little while. Meanwhile, Kennedy walked in unassuming in demeanor. Time passed along and I found out my credit score was better than expected. Kennedy then introduced himself to me. Cool as the other side of the pillow. He told me that his job was to make me smile before I left the dealership. 2 1/2 hours later, I left out with my smile and my car. I couldn't have asked for a better experience in purchasing my car. I WILL BE BACK! More

Service Department Deception and Lack of Customer Service First, I want to let it be known that I attempted to resolve this issue without resorting to posting an online review. I emailed Josh Callahan, Service Director, at jcallahan@mcdavid.com on 2 separate occasions (First on 3/13/17 and again on 3/15/17). Further, I called the service department and left a message with someone at the dealership to have Josh check his email and give me a call back. I have pasted my original email to Josh below, which has remained un-responded to for over a week. I am extremely upset to say the least and I'm not sure McDavid will have my business going forward. Keep in mind that I've purchased and serviced 2 Acura's from McDavid and have, up until this point, been very satisfied. I brought my TLX in for A1 service on Saturday, March 4. I was told that my tires were in excellent shape and were wearing perfectly normal which is indicated on the service report provided to me. I then brought my TLX back to McDavid on Friday, March 10 to install a part that was ordered from my previous service on March 4 (under warranty). The technician, again, performed a multipoint inspection for which I was also provided a service report. Imagine my surprise when the advisor told me told me that there was feathering on all four of my tires and the tread depths were at a 6. This was completely opposite of what I was told on my original visit on March 4. As shown in the the service report, no abnormal wear was noted and tread depths were at 8 and 9. Given that less than a week had passed, I highly doubt the tires deteriorated that quickly. So, that leads me to believe 1 of 2 things. 1) there are some major inconsistencies with McDavid's approach to multipoint inspections and staff have not been properly trained. I am not a car expert. I rely on you (the dealership factory trained experts) to provide me CORRECT information so that I, the consumer, can make an educated decision regarding whether to make or waive a repair. 2) I was misled in order to drum up business for the dealership given I wasn't spending any money because the repairs were under warranty. I want to believe that this was not the case. More

The anxiety was relieved when I met Payam who was very relaxed and friendly, not pushy at all and willing to listen to what I needed and wanted. We drove the car that I set out to see, and he located an even better match for my taste when we drove the 'red' RDX. The deal was done when we called it Cabernet Sauvignon, instead of 'RED'. :) I had to sell my used vehicle before I had the full amount of cash down to get my payments where I wanted them. We wrote up all the paperwork, I put the partial amount on my credit card! YES! A down payment AND I earned airline miles! I was back the next day with cash in hand and drove off the lot in the car I've always wanted! That was November, still Payam has left a lasting impression on my experience here. I LOVE my RDX and really enjoy driving it! It's perfect! Headed in for my first oil change this week. More
