Originally, I was excited about my experience of purchasing a car from David McDavid Acura. However, after two weeks without the car that I purchased, I am very disappointed. On October 23, I purcha purchasing a car from David McDavid Acura. However, after two weeks without the car that I purchased, I am very disappointed. On October 23, I purchased a car and returned to the dealership to retrieve the car on Saturday, October 24, 2020. I was asked to go out and inspect the car before taking the keys. As my husband and I walked around the car, we noticed a deep ding/dent in the right front passenger door which was not there when I purchased the car. The sales person got the manager to look at the dent and we were told that the person to fix the car would be there on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 to repair the dent. Because we live 40 miles away, we said we would come back on Tuesday and pick up the car. After almost a week, we were told that because of the rain, the car was not able to be repaired. On October 30, the repair person finally looked at the dent and we received a call from the sales person saying that if the dent was fixed we may still see the dent or if they painted the entire door, then the door may not be the color of the rest of the car. The sales person told me those were the options or I could back out of the deal. At this point, the car was paid for. Then, the sales person said she would speak with her manager and would contact me. I never received a call until I contacted the manager. The manager said the car could be repaired by a different vendor that had a different level of experience and it would be repaired on Tuesday, November 3, or Wednesday, November 4. On November 4, I reached out to my salesperson to get a status on the car repair, only to be placed in contact with a new person, the used card assistant director of sales. This person was very helpful, pleasant, and wanted to resolve the issue. He said he would ensure it was taken care of. I really appreciate his effort. My car was supposed to be ready for pick up by end of day, Thursday, November 5, 2020. It is now November 5, 2020, 8:52 p.m. David McDavid Acura, has received full payment for the car. However, I still DO NOT have a car to drive. No one has called me to give me an update ... My hope and prayer is that this transaction will be made whole by (1) repairing the car correctly, and (2) compensation for being without my car for two weeks. Dr. Kim Duncan More

Extremely poor communication. Switcheroo of sales reps (from one that wasn't busy to one that was in the middle of another sale - all because the guy we worked with had sent an email because we'd inquired (from one that wasn't busy to one that was in the middle of another sale - all because the guy we worked with had sent an email because we'd inquired with KBB widget on their website for trade-in value). Fine. After the test drive with the original sales rep, we ended up at the dealership for another 3 hours - after they had all my information and I already had financing approved with BofA. I wasn't haggling, paid full advertised price, and had no issue at all getting financed, and my trade was not contested. The rep was just making another sale at the same time - good for him.... we sat in the lobby while he stopped by every 15 minutes with something to sign. I finally said that I was going to go home, empty out my trade, and come back and finish the deal - essentially giving them another hour to finish up whatever they needed to do. (they had all my information) Well, it took another 2 hours to get out of there once we got back - not huge deal, really, but my last 3 car purchases required no more than about an hour at the dealership. This was especially bad, comparably. Along the way, we discovered that the car I was buying (2020 RDX) didn't have floor mats or owner's manual. The sales rep gave me his number and asked me to call him on Monday to deal with it (so, why am I calling you, exactly???). So, after 2 calls to him on his cell, then two calls to the lot asking for him, we spoke briefly - he said he was messaging parts and would call me back immediately. After hearing nothing for 90 minutes I called back two times getting forwarded to voicemail when I asked for the GM or the Sales Manager, I finally had enough and decided to drive to the lot at closing time from 25 minutes away. When I arrived at the lot, the receptionist asked if she could help me. I asked if I could talk to a manger. She went into the sales office where three gentlemen were seated. She returned a moment later and said they needed my phone number. I said "no" I'd like to talk to a human. Note.... when someone spends nearly $40k at your dealership and comes in and asks to speak to a manger, politely, you could just get off your rear end and come out and talk to the customer... or you could be a tool and send the receptionist out and ask for a phone number. Poor choice. You lost me there - for good, which is why I'm bothering to write this review. Finally, a manager came out to speak to me and I said "No more calls, no more voicemail, no more excuses, can someone please just get the floor mats and owner's manual that were supposed to come with my car?" After waiting for 20 minutes (with my sales rep avoiding eye contact), the only positive thing in the entire transaction happened: a gentleman delivered the floor mats and manual - he was polite, sincere, and smiling. I'm a reasonable person. I do not expect to be coddled or treated like a cream puff just because I'm buying something from you. But, I do expect you to respect my time, keep your word, and act professionally. This dealership failed - and right now, I wish I would have purchased another brand, from another dealership. This is a really bad start that reflects very poorly on the Acura brand and the David McDavid Acura of Plano dealership. I will not recommend this dealership, or Acura to anyone. More

Scratches, No price match Tires, Not Clean I am very unhappy with this dealership. I have spent almost 3K in the last two months on my son's car which we bought off the preowned lot. I took in I am very unhappy with this dealership. I have spent almost 3K in the last two months on my son's car which we bought off the preowned lot. I took in for service. First as they advertise they would not match tire prices. Secondly both times I took in June and July my car had scratches all over the trunk hood and sides of the car and this time when I picked up a deep gauge scratch was on it. My son passed away and I kept the car up and am keeping it for sentimental reasons. David McDavid in Plano knows this as I have had the car serviced there since my son passed away. They sent me coupons for work to be done I used them. I went to pick up the car this am and they tried to overcharge me, but had my estimate so they fixed the price and the amount dropped over $150. Then I found more scratches. I spoke with the director who stated they would fix the scratches so I agreed. Got in my car and it had not been vacuumed or cleaned as promised with the coupon. The car was still dirty outisde and on top by the moon roof. I am so unhappy. My money and this car is just as good as anyone else but for some reason they will not work with you even tho their advertising says differently and the service people promise that they looked at the car and all is good? In good faith I believed them. I was wrong. Would not recommend the service department here in Plano. More
Very fair deal - no games, no hassles I had a great experience at David McDavid Acura. Everything was upfront, and I felt the deal was fair. My trade in offer was better than at another dealership, and they were able to work with me to make sure everything worked out the way I needed it to.
