This was my first internet purchase. I looked up all Acura's that met my specifications and contacted a few dealers. One of which was McDavid Acura of Plano Texas. My contact person was Tim Sechrest, he was very personable, seemed to be straight forward and I trusted him (as I was 700 miles away and couldn't see the car). We discussed the car, I looked a more pictures and we settled on a price all within a day and a half. We got the financing taken care of with ease. The finance staff was very friendly and accommodating. All the information needed was given over the phone and/or faxed. The sales and finance staff made the process very easy. Four day's before I was scheduled to fly down and pick up the car I received a call from the Manager of the service department. He stated that when they went to move the car from the sales lot that it did not run. Needless to say I was very concerned. They thought it was a computer module that went out. They said they would get it into the shop and assured me they would find out what thbe cause was. Later the same day they call back and said they thought the problem was a computer module and they ordered one and it would take a day. They said when it came in they would call. The part did come in and they did call. They put the new part in and called and said that it still wasn't running and that they had thier best technicians on it and couldn't figure it out so they needed to call Acura for further instruction. That was going to take another day. They called to say that they were working with Acura (this was on a Saturday and I was flyingin to pick up the car on Monday) I was very concerned as I had a non refundable ticket and a car that didn't run. The Service Department Manager understood my concern and said he would not give me a defective car and that if he could not get it fixed to my satisfaction he would buy my plane ticket home. Saturday came and went with nothing being found. I flew out on Monday as planned not knowing if the car was fixed. I did not receive a call on Monday so when I landed I called the dealership and they said good news they found the problem (faulty manifold something?) They said the car runs like it should and were very confident that it would not be a problem. They stated that this was a very unusual occurance. When I got there everyone was very friendly. They had the car in the service department getting detailed. I finished all the paperwork and then took the car out for a test drive and looked it over. I found a couple of very small nicks which they took care of right away. I then sat with one of the technicians (Anthony) and went over the Navigation, and hands free set up. I then headed back home very satisfied. The Customer service was very good the car was as the said, when a problem occured they kept me informed of what was going on and fixed the problem (althought it was cutting it a little close). All the departments staff was very freindly throughout the process. I answered the quality of work question as N/A because it is yet to be determined if the work performed will last. The price was slightly better when compared to other dealerships. I gave the over all experience a 4+ due to the uncertainty of the work performed and the anxiety I had right before I was to pick up the car. More

I highly recommend David McDavid Acura for any new or used car purchase. Tony Vester provided optimal support and communication throughout the entire process. As a working single mom with a busy 2 year old, I came into the Dealership afraid of car sales men and the whole car buying process. I also had a fixed budget and limited negotiating time. I met Tony via email response to my inquiry.He turned out to be very resourceful and patient. He worked with me patiently through the million questions I had and made me comfortable enough to trust him. Even after I walked out to compare other models at other dealerships, I still had Tony's respect and dedication to help me find the best car. There were a lot of decisions to make and I was torn between the BMW x3 and the Acura RDX. Because of Tony's patience and assurance that I would have his undivided attention whenever I needed to ask about the car, I went with the Acura. I love it. And better yet, I still have Tonys number for when I have trouble with the technology part of the car and such. If all dealerships and Sales people were this friendly and patient, I would buy a car every year!..(Not really). I kept my previous one for almost 10 years. Anyway, I could keep writting. Service was awesome. We were looking for a specific car/color combination and no dealer around San Antonio had the car. What was impressive is Mark called me within an hour of the first internet inquiry. It was nice to talk to someone who could answer questions. I received a quote within 2 hours of the initial contact which was better than any other price I had received from 3 other dealers closer to San Antonio. MArk continued to follow up with me to make sure I understood all the information. After flying to Dallas to get the car, our personal experience with Mark and the dealership continued to be excellent. We were greeted at the airport by a very professional young man who drove us back to the dealership (about 20 min drive). Our new car was ready to go and Mark had all paperwork ready for review. There was never a feeling of pressure, yet Mark was very sensitive to our travel needs and really had things taken care of quickly. We were driving back home in less than 3 hours of landing in Dallas. I only wish they were closer to San Antonio. Highly recommend using them for your next car! More

Everyone we came in contact with at David McDavid was super helpful. I was buying my first car and picked out one they showed online. The salesman who helped me, Tim the Internet Manager, never made me feel like I had to get the car from them. It was an incredibly low pressure experience. I was very pleased with their finance manager, Robert, as well. He was really personable and made spending 12,000+ less stressful. The only thing I can really say that I wasn't 100% happy with was the detailing of the car. There was quite a bit of debris in the corners of the door that my wife noticed when we got home. Not a huge deal at all and really has no reflection on the people that I came in contact with directly. Will that said, I was extremely pleased with the service, attention, and respect I was given. I will definately be going back when I'm in the market to get my next car! More
