From my experience of trading in my old 2003 x5 to a new 2008 x5, getting additional packages, financing it and taking care of my difficult registration process, Michael Johnson was by far the most honest, 2008 x5, getting additional packages, financing it and taking care of my difficult registration process, Michael Johnson was by far the most honest, friendly and knowledgeable dealer I have worked with. I have bought 4 BMW's in my lifetime and my parents have worked with dealers from other German auto dealers and I have to say that Michael was the most comfortable to work with. I am planning on recommending all of my friends and family who are going to buy cars in the near future to stop by Park Ave BMW to consult with Michael. More
My experience at your dealership was the worst one i ever had. I paid $50,000 for a 2007 BMW 335i Coupe in March and had to bring it in for service because of certain sensors that kept going on and then off. had. I paid $50,000 for a 2007 BMW 335i Coupe in March and had to bring it in for service because of certain sensors that kept going on and then off. My service rep Rick Perrillo talked to me about the problems that i was having with the car... Entered my info into the computer and then gives me the keys to a loaner car. My loaner car was a SUZUKI VERONA which drove like a piece of crap.. I purchase a $50,000 car which is the ULTIMATE DRIVING EXPERIENCE and i get a car that is the WORST DRIVING EXPERIENCE... hmmmm makes sense i guess to Rick Perrillo.. Also on top of that i had to go wandering into the parking lot looking for the loaner while others had to pick up their loaners in front. So I drive away in this junk and think wow i cant wait to get my car back.. So around 1pm i call and talk to Rick Perrillo to ask about the status of my car and he tells me DIDN'T I TELL YOU ILL CALL YOU BY 4PM.. EXCUSE ME! I told him that im calling to check because i might have to go somewhere.. Either way its MY car which I PAID for.... More
Buying a car there and you want to add a spoiler and something else? Forget about it. Do it youself. You will have to go to the parts to purchase it, and then talk to services yourself for installation. something else? Forget about it. Do it youself. You will have to go to the parts to purchase it, and then talk to services yourself for installation. They are all disconnected. The guy, I don't know the name, at Parts was absolutely rude and impatient. I was treated worse than at the dollar store. This guy should be fired. But, as I know, he has been with the company for a long time. So, go figure. Avoid this place. More
I purchased a preowned 95 318is. I had troubles with I purchased a preowned 95 318is. I had troubles with the alarm going off randomly which required multiple visits over weeks to resolve. A blow I purchased a preowned 95 318is. I had troubles with the alarm going off randomly which required multiple visits over weeks to resolve. A blown transmission which had to be replaced. And overtime found out the vehicle was in an accident and the dealership sent it out to have a cheap inferior paint job done which started pealing and loosing its clear coat. They denied knowledge. The service pricing is exorbanant and often requires multiple visits to have work done correctly. More

A letdown from the moment you call for an appointment. I had to wait 2 weeks to have Park Ave look at my broken down 2003 BMW and no loaner. Had to call them for updates, even when the car was completed I h had to wait 2 weeks to have Park Ave look at my broken down 2003 BMW and no loaner. Had to call them for updates, even when the car was completed I had to be the one to call and find out if it was done. This dealer continues to lower my expecations of what to expect from dealer service. No doubt a warranty only place. I didnt see a single car there that looked like it was out of warranty, always a good judge of whether this dealer keeps customers. More
After 4 visits Park Ave was unabe to troubleshoot a simple problem that JMK diagnossed over the phone. Each visit required me to call to see if my car was done, they never called me once. Car returned simple problem that JMK diagnossed over the phone. Each visit required me to call to see if my car was done, they never called me once. Car returned a mess with evidence of a rough test ride. Without a doubt this is the worst place in NJ to bring your BMW for service. The staff was very friendly but when it comes down to it the techs are just not that good. I heard the same complaint while waiting in the waiting room. A previous poster is correct that the Loaner cars are Ford Focus models. This alone will make me buy elsewhere next time. JMK is a small dealership but they treated me like gold even though I did not buy there. Still waiting for a call back from Larry about my horrible service experience, dont expect to hear from him. First visit, made 45 days in advance, took 3.5 hours to complete an oil change while I waited. Second visit, tools and spare parts found on leather seats after car picked up. Third visit, BMW billed for pa complete an oil change while I waited. Second visit, tools and spare parts found on leather seats after car picked up. Third visit, BMW billed for parts that were not replaced. Fourth and surely my last visit, lug nuts (3) left loose on one wheel, remaining lugs over torqued. This is a hatchet shop, get em in get em out, my service advisor would repeat his mantra when I complained "its a factory there is nothing I can do." I am a professional aviation technician, I wont let Park Ave touch my car ever again. I am still waiting for a return call after my last visit, that was 18 days ago. I would love to find a good BMW dealer, Park Avenue is a horrible BMW dealer. Ford Focus loaner, you gotta be kidding me..... More
I was contacted by Aimon Altaai because I submitted a request for bids from a sales site. The site promised that dealers in my area would submit quotes, internet style. Aimon started by asking what price request for bids from a sales site. The site promised that dealers in my area would submit quotes, internet style. Aimon started by asking what price it would take to get my business (old stlyle car saleman negotiating!) I told him that I was expecting quotes, to which he responded by saying he would work on a price and get back to me in a curt fashion. Never heard anymore from this dealership!
This just demonstrates an overall "shark" mentality at the sales end of this dealership. If we all make use of these boards and post our experiences, maybe we can make a dent in the bad dealers? More
Two thumbs up for Larry Weiner and the folks over at Park Ave BMW. This is my 2nd service at Park Ave BMW, and today's experience mirrors the last one I had, and guarantees them my business from here on.
Ave BMW. Larry made my life easy. He answered all my emails promptly, gave me permission to have tires shipped directly to the dealership from Tire Rack, and set up my appointment all electronically. He was also very easy to get in touch with.

2. Larry was honest with me. He let me know up front that they may not have time to detail my car, even though I requested it when I made the appointment. That's actually a good thing... I hate being surprised, and he didn't give me false expectations.

3. Larry was polite. Unlike some of my past service experiences at other dealerships where the service manager was gruff and didn't really care what I wanted done, I felt I had his attention.

4. They mounted my S-03s without scratching the rims. I wish I had asked the name of the tech that mounted the S-03s, because he did a great job.
