ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME THERE So I went with my friend and her mom to pick up her car she was purchasing on Friday the 27th and let me just say, this was one of the worst experienc So I went with my friend and her mom to pick up her car she was purchasing on Friday the 27th and let me just say, this was one of the worst experiences I ever had at a dealership. First we went to sit down and talk to the salesman, Al Dixit and he was okay. Then my friend asked him for a Carfax on the car and he said the car was fine, we didn't need one but he still printed it out. Then he gave her a paper and said to sign it and did not tell her what she was signing. I asked Al what was that form she was about to sign, and he said that it was stating he was giving her the Carfax. I told him that was weird because I went to a lot of dealerships to look at cars and none of them made me sign a form. As I went through the Carfax with my friend, I noticed that it said it had a tire repair. I asked Al which tire was repaired and why and he told me he had no idea, to call the place that replaced the tire. I told him first off, it was repaired, not replaced. Second, as a salesman, one should take it upon them self to do their research on the car their trying to sell so they can answer simple questions and not look like they have no idea what is going on. He was quiet which means I was right. Then as he got together some papers, he handed us off to the Finance Manager which is where the fun begins. As we sit down with the Finance Manager, James Lundy, he introduces himself. He mentioned that this was going to be a quick process that she just had to sign some papers and she would be on her way. I told him to tell my friend what each paper was about that she was going to sign so we all understood without signing away our lives then he gives me like a "REALLY?" kind of face. Then as she is signing some forms, I ask James if he knew why the car had a tire repair. He also responded by saying he had no idea about the car. So I said wow, no wonder why Al answered that way as well. So he yelled at me and said "What do you mean no wonder? Listen, you have an attitude and can ruin this sale for your friend." My friend intervened and yelled "Stop, calm down!" and he went right back to fixing his papers for her to sign. What type of person yells at someone? Like really? That is so unprofessional. I'm trying to make a point saying they both are clueless and CLEARLY just want commission instead of doing research on a car they are about to sell so they do not sound incompetent. As soon as she was done signing, James took us back over to Al so he could take us to the car. When we go outside, and start looking at the cars exterior for scratches, dents, and anything broken. As I inspect it, I noticed that one of the caps was missing on the tire to keep the air from escaping. I told Al about it and he said we should come back another day for it. Let me be the first to call BS on that one. Who says that? Instead of getting one from inside from his stock, he lies. Anyways, then he gets in front passenger seat with my friend and they are in there for an hour trying to figure out the blue tooth. Al finally gets out of the car and my friend is mad. She tells me that he messed up the blue tooth because there was a question they were supposed to answer "yes" with and he hit the button for "no" so she was upset because when they retried, the system did not ask that same question again. She went inside the dealership and asked to speak to someone who is good with technology. Then another guy gets up and offers to help, which was the first thing I actually liked about the whole experience. Al comes outside as well to watch so I asked him how long he has been working at Acura. He told me 2 years. I asked where he was before this and he told me he worked on Wall Street until the crash and until he got let go. I told him cars are completely different from the DOW and then he went inside. As he is trying to help my friend, he is not understanding what she wants fixed, so she says to just forget it. Then we try to fix it, and nothing. I came up with the idea of restarting the whole car by disconnecting the red/black wires from the battery so I went into the dealership and told them I needed someone from service to help. Al asked me what for? I told him that in order to fix the problem that he created and could not fix, we needed to restart the whole car. So I asked Al to help. Al said no and that he did not know anything under the hood. I looked at him in awe. How can you call yourself a man and a salesman and not know the basics? Yet another let down with this dealership. Finally two guys try to help us as my friend shows him the manual of the car. After the last guy goes out and try to fix the car, he explains to her that the option is not available because she doesn't have the right package for the car. Okay, fine, at least we can finally leave after 2 hours of trying to fix a problem that was started by one of their own. After this horrible experience, I would never buy a car there, or tell any of my friends to, and I hope this rating helps people to realize how unprofessional, rude, and incompetent people can be just so they can take all your money with commission. More
