About a month ago, my girlfriend, Lori and I were at home and saw a television commercial about the 2014 Jaguar F-Type. We looked at each other at the same time and said wow! It just so happened that I had been contemplating the lease or purchase of a high performance vehicle to celebrate my pending retirement. I knew that I wanted some type of roadster and had done some research into the Mercedes SLK line. I had pretty much decided upon the SLK 55 AMG, but that changed upon seeing the F-Type commercial. I told Lori I would like to go to the Paretti dealership soon to see if they had any F-Types on the lot. I'm fortunate that she is as much a motor head as I, and she was very excited to accompany me. The following weekend we were traveling south on Airline and passed in front of your dealership and Lori said, there's an F-Type! We did an immediate u-turn and parked in the lot nearest Airline and walked up and began admiring the white F Type. Within 30 seconds of our arrival, I saw a salesman approach from inside the dealership. That salesman was J.T. I could immediately sense J.T.'s excitement with the new F-Type, and his pleasure that we had stopped by. After a few minutes discussing the car, he pointed to a black F-Type V8 S and suggested that we take a look at that as well. I told him I didn't need a test drive just yet, because I probably wouldn't make a purchase for the next several months. He said he understood, but offered to have me sit in the drivers seat and let me crank the car. The exhaust note was amazing, and I was sitting in the car taking it all in when J.T. reappeared with the manager, Danny. Danny was all smiles and greeted Lori and me, and told me he wanted me to take the F-Type V8 S for a drive. His excitement in the vehicle was contagious, so I agreed. The only caveat I had was that he drive, so he could show me what the F-Type was all about. I can't begin to describe the enthusiasm Danny and J.T. displayed in the fact that I was going on a test drive. As we pulled away from the dealership, I told Danny that I drive my motorcycle in excess of 180 mph and nothing he could do would scare me. He just smiled and told me to hang on. Mr. Rase, all I can say is I'll never forget that test drive. Somehow, during the drive, Danny placed us in a 1.09 g force maneuver. I was left speechless at the performance of the vehicle. Danny's driving skills were impressive, and during the drive, he explained all the features about the three cars making up the F-Type line. I was astonished and amazed at the F-Type V8 S and I knew my vehicle lease / purchase decision had just gotten complicated. After I had recovered from the most exciting test drive of my life, J.T. and Danny spent several minutes with me discussing purchase / lease options and the fact that an F-Type S would be available at the dealership soon. J.T. said he'd email me updates of the product line and told me I was more than welcome to return for additional test drives any time. They also informed Lori and me of the F-Type party at White Oak Plantation and told us we'd receive an invitation via email, which we did the following day. Lori and I attended the party and were met by Danny and J.T, and I was impressed that they both remembered our names and our interest in the F-Type. Both of them answered all of my questions about the three F-Types. I commented to Lori during the party that I was impressed by the professionalism and knowledge displayed by Danny and J.T. They were so friendly and helpful, and I felt they were more than salesmen, they were my friends. Before Lori and I left the party, and knowing J.T. would be out of town the following day for a training session, I scheduled a test drive of the F-Type S with Danny for 9 a.m. the next day. I met Danny as planned, and this time I decided to drive...well, at least for a while. I honestly fell in love with the car. Its performance, sound, ride, interior, and available options left my head spinning. I appreciate that Danny allowed me to take the car on an extended test, and drive it like I wanted to, including a spirited jaunt down Stumberg Lane. Not at all to my surprise, Danny told me to pull into a parking lot and told me he wanted to show me a few things the car could do. Once again his excellent driving skills came into play, and once again we exceeded 1 g. After that display, and the drive in general, I had no questions about the vehicle's performance capabilities. After the test drive, I stayed at the dealership an additional two and a half hours, peppering Danny with questions about the F-Type S, and questions I had about purchasing versus leasing, different options and colors available, etc. He took the time to inform me about the allotment procedure of Jaguar, how and when vehicles make it to the dealership, and the process to go through if I wanted to order a car. He also told me what F-Types the Baton Rouge dealership would be receiving in the next few months. It appeared that it was a busy day at the dealership and I told Danny more than once that I could wait if he needed to tend to business. His response was always the same. He told me I was his business. He did some quick research and found an F-Type S at the dealership in New Orleans, made a call and had someone there take photos of the car and email him the photos and specifications. During our previous discussions about leasing, Danny suggested I may as well have a credit report run which would aid in my decision-making process. He introduced me to Alicia for that purpose. She was very professional and knowledgeable and within 5 minutes, had an answer for me regarding my lease options with Jaguar. She even took the time to call someone on my behalf and was able to move me into Tier One credit status. Danny and Alicia informed me that the vehicle could be delivered to Baton Rouge that day. Following another 30 minutes of discussion with Danny, I decided to lease the vehicle. It was delivered to Baton Rouge that evening and Alicia spent about 30 minutes with me, familiarizing me with the car from top to bottom. Danny made sure I was satisfied and had no further questions before I left. Lori and I have spent many hours in my F-Type S since Friday, and I've never driven a more exciting, amazing car. On three separate occasions, I've had people stop me to ask about the car, and they all have commented that it's a beautiful vehicle. I told each person that the cars are for sale at Paretti Jaguar, and that they should stop by for a test drive. Lastly, I want to reiterate that it was a tremendous aid for me in the decision making process that your dealership offered F-Types for test drives, and that Danny was more than willing to drive and show the car's capabilities. Thank you for a pleasurable leasing experience. I'm proud to now be a part of the Jaguar family. Please thank Danny, J.T., and Alicia for their professionalism, kindness, and expertise. Cordially, Sandy N. More

But Paretti service adds insult to injury with their cavalier and often flippant attitude towards their customers. Compounding their arrogance is the apparent incompetence by their service techs who either don't care or don't know how to repair their own brand of vehicle. Sad but true, it has taken me two Landrovers to learn my lesson...the Paretti sales department is fantastic, but their Baton Rouge service department stinks!! No real surprise that while driving home today after having a $1,400 fuel pump replacement done by Paretti, the check engine light came on. Of course, it's Friday evening and they are closed now. Hmmm...I wonder if this has anything to do with them refusing to provide me with the old part they claim was changed... More
I recently bought a 1996 Jaguar XJ6 Vanden Plas. The battery went dead and there was no way to get into the trunk, as the key did not work. I needed to get into the trunk and jump-start it, or find anot battery went dead and there was no way to get into the trunk, as the key did not work. I needed to get into the trunk and jump-start it, or find another way to. The local Ford dealership gave me the number to Import One. I called Import One and the man that I spoke to helped me to the best of his knowledge, and recommended that I call Paretti. I did so, and spoke to the receptionest who told me that the the mechanic, Jason, was busy. I got a call ten minutes later from Jason and explained my problem. He was friendly about it, but told me that I had no way of getting into the trunk, or jump-starting it for that matter. As a last resort, I called the previous owner. He told me that I could jump-start it, doing so by locating the fuse box above the left front wheel, doing this, that, etc. It worked. I am disapointed that I was lied to by the mechanic. I will NEVER do business at Paretti. More
