It's not my style to just trash a business, but Paramus Hyundai earned this scolding. When POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE is coupled with POORLY TRAINED Salesman & incompetent Receptionist who schedules Service app Hyundai earned this scolding. When POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE is coupled with POORLY TRAINED Salesman & incompetent Receptionist who schedules Service appointments all culminates to what I will refer to as the Paramus Hyundai xxxx SHOW!! Bought a 2021 Hyundai Elantra in MAY (my 6th Hyundai). Was told that you receive a free oil changes for 3 yrs/36,000 miles. Tried to make my first oil change appt & was told it was 4 weeks out. Planned to take a long road trip so I bought an authorized Elantra Oil Filter from the service department & when to Valvoline for a Synthetic Oil change. Found out that the filter sold to me was the wrong oil filter. Also found out that there were 3 different type oil filters for the Elantra 2021. Obviously the service department was not aware of this. Then I made an appointment for my second oil change & this time made it in advance. That worked out just fine. Now I made an appointment for my 3rd Oil Change at approx. 19,000 miles. Do road trips to Florida to avoid flying due to the pandemic. Was never told that Hyundai has to approve Oil Changes based on time & miles. Was supposed to be informed of this by my salesperson. That did not happen. The receptionist who took my appointment never asked me for mileage or last checked when I had my last oil change. So I arrived at 8am after driving for 30 minutes only to be told that Corporate Hyundai denied approval of my oil change. Then the service manager said you should of told of how this works, which I explained above. Nothing we can do. So you tell me I shouldn't be PISSED. It only shows that at Paramus Hyundai it's only about selling Cars & trying to up sell service which I personally witnessed twice while waiting on-line. No one is communicating with the customer. Again I apologize for having to take Hyundai Paramus to task. But I'm tired of being abused by INCOMPETENCE & they earned this review.. More

Service team is friendly, but horrible communication between sales department and national customer care. Only went twice, and both times were horrible. First time, they try to sell me tires for my bran between sales department and national customer care. Only went twice, and both times were horrible. First time, they try to sell me tires for my brand new car, only to find out from my local service person that it was only a small pet pebble and no puncture or tire damage. That was after a 2 1/2 hour wait! Second visit, although I received emails stating maintenance was due, and even overdue, when I arrived I was told I did not have service. That was after eight weeks of trying to schedule an appt.! Did the national customer care, and was notified that I was due for complementary maintenance every 3000 miles! It’s been a complete run around, waste of time, because of the horrible communication between departments! How can my car file State that I am titled to complementary maintenance every 3000 miles, when the local Paramus service dePartment has no knowledge of this? You are promised the world it seems to make a sale, but it’s a far cry to get the service that you promised. Not happy! Improve communication so your customers are not hassle.I will not reach the stars for anyone, because they try the best, however the system is terrible. More
Stay away from them, no one knows what they are doing even the manager Vivian. I went 6 times and they can’t find out what’s wrong with my car. Every single time they were telling different things. At th even the manager Vivian. I went 6 times and they can’t find out what’s wrong with my car. Every single time they were telling different things. At the end I paid $2500 and my car still not working. Nick didn’t care about to solve my issue and the manager either. They just care about charging me more money doing test by test to find out why my car still not starting. Please don’t waste going there because it’s not worth it. Zero customer service. I know many dealers have a reputation for overcharging and seem more interested on quick cash than repeat customers. This one is one of them. After 6th times there Vivian asking for a test charging 370$ after wasting my time there almost over a month. Nick doesn’t know anything what’s he doing!!!!! More

2020 Hyundai Santa Fe was due for an oil change so took it in. Pros: Spoke with Annie who is such a doll, beautiful personality, I could honestly hang with her all day. I’m sure all the customer reps ther it in. Pros: Spoke with Annie who is such a doll, beautiful personality, I could honestly hang with her all day. I’m sure all the customer reps there are nice people. There are TV’s there to watch even though you probably can’t hear it and plenty of seating. Cons: ok maybe I’m a little naive but the price to take a LEASED car in for service is ridiculous. I’m giving this car back and you are charging me xxxx near $300 for oil change, change the filters, tire rotation? And I used a discount I found on their site. I never in my life and I lease cars all the time paid that much for an oil change/service update. The wait was a little too long for my liking 1 1/2 - 2 hours but next time I won’t stay and wait if I even decide to take it back for service here :/ More
My problem with Hyundai of Paramus centers on their service. First, I was randomly assigned with Annie Ramaglia on my first service visit many years ago. She's friendly enough, but her approach - lik service. First, I was randomly assigned with Annie Ramaglia on my first service visit many years ago. She's friendly enough, but her approach - like any decent salesperson - is to make you feel like you're getting a special deal and that she has your best interests at heart. Amazingly, I could go in for a $100 repair and be told nearly every time that I have $1000-$2000 of work needing to be done. Once I caught onto this scam, I found a local mechanic in my town who would do the same work for half the price or less. Don't fall for their phony rhetoric. They overcharge you at every turn. Annie will tell you you're getting a "special" rate in the process. Eventually I tired of this deception, but I still occasionally needed to visit for factory recall issues and so forth. On my last visit, I told them there was something wrong with the electronics (it turned out to be a bad crankshaft angle sensor). After spending $200 with them and getting ZERO information about the problem, I asked Annie if they could somehow reset the electronics, as one might in rebooting a malfunctioning computer. Annie seemed to be angry at the mere question, quizzing me in return as to why I thought it would be helpful. Uhhh...guess what Annie. I came to YOU for help, and I came to you because I don't know precisely the problem (or didn't until I took my car to a competent mechanic, which doesn't seem to exist any longer at Hyundai Paramus). After being treated so rudely by Annie, I've resolved to never visit this location again. It's put me off from buying another Hyundai in the future, so bad was this experience. I recommend you avoid these people at all costs unless you like getting ripped off and having your inquiries rudely dismissed. More
