This is by far one of the shadiest dealers I have ever dealt with. Went in to purchase a 2012 Hyundai Sonata Limited Edition and was told that it had to be ordered. I was given the VIN number and told tha dealt with. Went in to purchase a 2012 Hyundai Sonata Limited Edition and was told that it had to be ordered. I was given the VIN number and told that I would get it in 3 to 5 days. Only to find out that that the car was sold to someone else especially after I had pout down a $1000 down payment. When I went to the dealership they had a bunch of excuses and asked me to wait for a another 5 days. when i returned to the dealership they said that they couldn't get me the car i wanted and offered me another Sonata (not Limited) above the MSRP. I demanded my down payment and they were jerking me around saying that they couldn't do that right away. only when I said that I worked for TV a station and that was going to publicize this scam is when I got my money back. I ended up going to a nearby dealer who was able to order the car for me and I had it in 3 day. More
I came to this dealer on Tuesday 12/27 with my husband. We heard such great things about how far Hyundais have come and a friend had recommended this place. Imagine our surprise to being blown off. A gentlemen said hi and it seemed like he had to force a sales lady to get up and attend to us. We asked to see a car not on the floor, she unwillingly went to grab her jacket and never returned?! We waited 15 minutes. We were put off from the lack of service, it seems like she could care less about making a sale. I went to 5 other dealerships through out the week and have yet to experience such bad service. I ended up with an Altima, but even before thinking Nissan I was almost positive I would buy the Sonata. Maybe the lady was having a bad day - who knows? More
The day I purchased a used vehicle from this dealership, I was left stranded an hour after driving off the lot. Then left without a vehicle for two days. I had to play detective to find out what was the issue. The dealership never communicated to me what was going on. I only found out because of the dealership they towed my car to was helpful in providing me the information. Then not even a week after receiving the car I was left stranded again, this time for 5 days. After having to play detective again I was able to find out what was going on only from, again, the dealership they towed my car to. They never offered a loaner nor where they empathetic or apologetic for all the mishappenings. I was extremely upset with how they handled the situation. More so they didn't hold to their word on some other factors. I will stop any and every person I know to inform them of the horrible service I received from this place. To this day I am still trying to resolve issues. It's been 3 weeks and I am still having to track them down. They do not return calls and if they do they are not at all pleased. Unfortunately I am stuck (for now) in this vehicle. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and the NJ Attorney General of Consumer Affairs in addition to contacting the main Hyundai USA to let them know what time of people are associated with their names. All of this could've been avoided had they not been suck jerks. More
I settled on a Hyundai Tuscon and shopped several dealers, visiting two; Paramus was my first visit. I have to say, in the end I decided to deal with Paramus, mainly because of the salesperson I dealt with, Vinny. I did not have the time to sit in the dealership and do the traditional car negotiation BS. I knew what I wanted to pay and Vinny was in my range. He was very responsive...reaching out to me to make sure everything was on track, even once the paperwork was signed. Other dealers either did not call me back (who doesn't want to sell a car?) or the other dealer I visited insisted that I must come in to talk to him. Paramus Hyundai has a nice process once you buy the vehicle, introducing you to the service folks, etc. Really a nice, painless process. I would recommend that anyone looking for a Hyundai go to Vinny in Paramus. More
Annie Ramaglia is "THE BEST"..... I recently came in for my first service and she assisted me from the minute that I walked in the door until I left. Unfortunately, my 2011' Sonata Hybrid didn't came in for my first service and she assisted me from the minute that I walked in the door until I left. Unfortunately, my 2011' Sonata Hybrid didn't come with all season tires, but we discussed various options and she worked with me on the price for new ones and I was extremely satisfied. She explained everything that was inspected, completed and final cost. Since I owned an Audi previous to my Hyundai, I was ecstatic that the cost was so low. While waiting for my car, I noticed how the service team treated all of the customers that walked in. Everyone was extremely professional and listened to each customer's concern(s) attentively. I started my research/shopping on the 2012 Hyundai Elantra's at the Route 4 Hyundai. I could immediately sense that this was a dealership that played games. You know-- the flattery, the overeagerness Elantra's at the Route 4 Hyundai. I could immediately sense that this was a dealership that played games. You know-- the flattery, the overeagerness to act like your best friend, the "let's see what we can do, just for you!", the letting you walk out and then calling back and trying to play the best friend card to bring you back. It was annoying and insulting, but as my bottom line was price, I ignored it and tried to get the best deal. After several visits and phone calls, they offered $1200 down, $233/month for the GLS with preferred package (incl. all taxes and fees), 36 month lease @ 12k miles a year. I thought this was decent, but I took it to Hyundai Wayne and also Honda Wayne (looking at 2012 Civic LX) and both offered me a better deal of $600 down (including first month!) and $233/month (again, incl. all taxes and fees). Not only were both of those dealers MUCH friendlier, more honest, and less annoying to work with, they gave me a better deal by $600! I would NEVER send anyone to Route 4 Hyundai. More
I have had issues with my new Sonata Hybrid since I purchased it - poor performance and less-than-advertised gas mileage. I have had to bring the car back to the dealership three times in the two months I've owned the car. Annie Ramaglia has been my service person throughout, and she has been nothing short of outstanding. She is clearly committed to serving customers, something you don't always find today among service professionals. She listens, demonstrates caring and concern, and goes to great lengths to find solutions - never taking the easy way out. I know that Annie works for Hyundai, but she makes me feel that she is working for me also. That is the mark of a great service professional. She called me often while my car was in the shop or awaiting the next appointment to tell me what was happening and to see if I had questions or additional concerns. She is absolutely great, and deserves all the recognition in the world. More
I just bought a 2012 Elantra and wanted to get a spare tire which is not standard equipment. I arranged through the salesman to get the tire and when I came to the service area to have the spare installed tire which is not standard equipment. She was very pleasant and patiently explained the details of the service call. She made my wife and me feel at ease and when I told her I was tight on time because I had to go to work, she was able to expedite the work. While I can't say that getting your car serviced or repaired is a pleasant experience, Annie made this service call much easier. More
