I submitted Internet price requests to all the Honda dealerships in the Queens-Long Island area. Paragon came back with the lowest price that the other dealers said was just "impossible". Indeed it lo dealerships in the Queens-Long Island area. Paragon came back with the lowest price that the other dealers said was just "impossible". Indeed it looked to be below or just a hair above Invoice, based on the invoice prices listed on the various sites like Edmunds, etc. Despite all the bad reviews I thought I would check them out. Bane was very nice on the phone and assured me they had the car in stock and he would put a "sold" sign on it (5pm on a Friday) for my visit the next day (2pm on Saturday). After waiting for him an hour he tells me that the car was sold, financed, registered and taken away just two hours before I arrived and that no one told him. Given how slow these people are I know that was just impossible, but why waste their time and mine to lie just to get me in so that I leave completely angry and bad mouth them to everyone willing to listen? I just don't get how they think that will help sell more cars. But it appears that every Honda dealer in this area is equally as dishonest. No one really wants to directly answer the question of "do you have this car on your lot". Such a waste of time. Too bad you can't buy new cars on eBay directly from the manufacturer and cut out these slimy people. More
My wife and I bought a 2008 Honda Accord from Johnny Shi at Paragon Honda recently and have to say that I was overall quite satisfied with their service. I thought Johnny was very honest and forthcoming wi at Paragon Honda recently and have to say that I was overall quite satisfied with their service. I thought Johnny was very honest and forthcoming with me, and gave me a very decent initial price (which I should have and most likely could have pushed back on but, like an idiot, just accepted - but the price was still lower than what kbb.com says is the prevailing price in this area). He also did not push any features on us that we didn't want. Johnny was also just generally a very nice person, which we appreciated. The car itself is great and we love it so far - haven't had to go back for any work on it, so I can't comment on their service division. There were two elements of our experience that weren't really ideal. First, we were at the dealership for about eight hours total. Part of the problem was that I hadn't brought my ID along to register the car with the DMV, so they drove us back to our house to pick up my passport. Part of the problem was that they had the model and color we wanted, but in their warehouse in Brooklyn, and it took a few hours to have it sent up and cleaned up for us. In the end, I think a big part of the problem was that we didn't get to talk to the financing guy until very late, probably because it was a weekend and therefore quite busy - so I think our wait time could've been cut down at least 3 hours if we had gotten to see him earlier than we did. Obviously we weren't happy with that. Secondly, I don't know his name, but I did not have the impression that the financing guy was being forthcoming with us. We ended up arguing with him for over two hours, and at one point it got sort of heated and we almost walked out (after having been there for about six hours already). In the end, I was very happy with the terms of our financing, but I imagine this guy makes a lot of money off of people who aren't willing to ask questions about the numbers he's throwing around. I would recommend bringing a financial calculator, or using your phone or PDA to access a website with a car payment calculator where you can enter the principal, the interest rate, and the term of the loan and see if you end up with the same monthly payments that the finance guy is telling you. Our basic problem was that he kept throwing numbers around for monthly payments based on a set of features he was trying to sell us, but kept avoiding our direct questions about what APR we'd get, and we had a miscommunication (or he misspoke or attempted to mislead us) about whether there were any fees hidden in the financing he was proposing. Eventually those fees got pulled out of the deal (they were . To be fair, there were some good parts about our experience with the financing manager. For one, we liked the eventual terms of our financing - we got a good rate and he waived the bank fee. We maybe could've gotten a better deal from a bank, but this was easier and we plan to pay it off within a year anyway. Also, he didn't pull any tricks with us regarding our credit, which I've heard is fairly common - he told us straight up where we stood credit-wise, which was accurate. Lastly, we accidentally left some documents in his office (passport and social security card), and he was nice enough to call us and let us know; I know that it sort of goes without saying that someone would do that, but we appreciated it nonetheless. In the end, despite those issues, we thought we got a great car, and were very happy with the terms of the deal, both in price and financing. Though I can't speak for the other sales staff there, I at least had a good experience there and disagree with the people who say categorically not to go to these guys. More
This dealership needs to be closed down by all means... When saw an ad on the internet for a 2007 Honda odydessey for $16,495.00 needless to say the price seemed like a scam, So my husband and I started ca When saw an ad on the internet for a 2007 Honda odydessey for $16,495.00 needless to say the price seemed like a scam, So my husband and I started calling to see if this was real , then have six of our friends call then had my sister in law and brother in law go look. But before they went for the hour ride they asked if the car was there and April said that she was looking right at it and had it ready for them to look at it. They got there nobody knew where the car was and that no such price for a 2007. Then we started calling from where we were at home and they still insisted they had the car for that price and it was still on the lot for sale then the stories started flying it weas sold, then it was mis priced it was 24000.00, then they could not find it , boy they really lay it on thick they are the biggest liars I have ever met!!!! I hope they get put out of business by someone soon!!! We contacted the Attonery Gernals Office. I asked to speak to a manager they gave me Authur he said he had over heard the conversation about all this deal but he is a liar he spoke to my brother in law so he lies too!!!! PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALER THEY ARE LIARS, SCAMMERS AND DIRTBAGS!!!!!! More
It took me approx. 6 hrs to sign and close on my deal because the sales people were lackadaisical and indifferent to all the customers there. All they cared about was selling the car to anybody and getti because the sales people were lackadaisical and indifferent to all the customers there. All they cared about was selling the car to anybody and getting more customers to pack the sales office. The salesman offered water and cookies at one point, but never even came back with that. Even though, the dealership offers fair prices, the sales people strong arm you and make you feel worthless. BOTTOM LINE: HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Don't go to them!! More
I visited this dealership to purchase a used 05' Hyundai Sonata. Seemed like a great price but I have a feeling I'll be paying for it. First of all these guys really are crooks as everyone says. We agree Sonata. Seemed like a great price but I have a feeling I'll be paying for it. First of all these guys really are crooks as everyone says. We agreed to the internet special price on the car and then the sales person says "let's see what it wil cost to get this out of here for you." He gives the keys to one of the guys to take over to the shop for a final inspection. 10 minutes later he picks up the phone and hits an extension on the phone. I truly believe there was no one on the other line, because he hung up quick to give me the "good news" only $699 to get the car prepped to go. I guess there are people who just say ok to this. I however questioned what repairs it needed. He wasn't prepared to answer that question as his face turned red. He then started listing things off like oil change, transmission fluid, brakes...quite a few hours worth of work. But weren't the brakes checked in the supossed 110-point inspection.. and did you just ask if I would take the car home today??? I told him I'd take the car as is and change the oil myself.. Once I got through that it was time to deal with the finance manager. Great news my credit is so good that I qualify for a special program. Do I want no warranty and a rate of 10% or 3 year warranty and 6%. Well that's a no brainer until they try to work $3500 into the price of a $6700 car for a warranty. He gave me the estimated payments, way higher than I expected. I said I should be able to get the car with nothing down at payments of about $150, he just laughed and said that's unreasonable. So I agreed to the warranty and lower interest rate... when I finally saw the print out to sign there was the $3500 for the warranty, which he insisted the lower rate was paying for. "you wouldn't buy an appliance without a warranty would you" he said, to which I replied. I wouldn't pay $750 for a warranty on a $1500 regrigerator either. After 6 hours in the dealer I was proud to say I got out of there through all there scams and got the car for $6700 plus tax and title. Oh yeah the payment $152 a month with nothing down. I was proud of myself until I found the trunk of the car gets wet, leaks somewhere back there. Then this morning while on my way to church on the NYS thruway doing 65 mph my hood flew wide open. Hood is wrecked, just glad the windsheild didn't break in my wifes face or that there was noone behind me. Not sure what will go next, but should be inteeresting to see. In retrospect if they are a bunch of crooks, why wouldn't they unload junk. Stay way from Paragon!!!! Please!! More
DO NOT SHOP AT THIS DEALER. I have been to many car dealers everywhere, this was by far the worst auto dealer I have ever been to. Filled with snakes of human beings. Awful people. Snake oil sales men. dealers everywhere, this was by far the worst auto dealer I have ever been to. Filled with snakes of human beings. Awful people. Snake oil sales men. This is where the stereotypical car dealer image comes from. I drove seven hours to the dealership to look at a car that they said was there, but it turned out it was sold two weeks ago, and I believe now that it may have never existed and they use it to lure people in to buy cars they didn't come for. I wouldn't be surprised if they have been charged with criminal conduct at some point. More
Well, well , well still up to your tricks. I purchased a vehicle from these "fools". First they don't know how to add, and your papers are "funny". The owner must be hiding behind his desk because he doesn' vehicle from these "fools". First they don't know how to add, and your papers are "funny". The owner must be hiding behind his desk because he doesn't seem to care how his business is being run and I'm still waiting for a response to my e-mail. If your going to buy a car from this people and strongly recommend that you don't. You should take a course in accounting because the finance dept and its head Mr. Chowdury can't add, multple or subtract. The sneaker fat boy w/ the light eyes and his buddy Sasha can't add either and they act like they do you a faavor by selling you a car. Michael Fermin your just as bad what roll do you play "nice guy". I'm a firm believer that what goes around comes around. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE, TRUST ME. More

I went in and was told they had the car which we test drove and to go home and bring my other car to trade in. An hour later when I returned I was then told that the car was already sold! The finance guy Mel, is another sneaky crook! He is very unprofessional, did not give ALL of the required paperwork on the date of purchase in order to avoid us catching the setup for his sneaky trap, which was an extended warranty that would cost and extra $,4700, when he told us it would be $23 a month for 5 years. Do the math-doesn't add up. Never being told about this extra $4,700 I went back and told him I didn't want his crappy extended warranty. I had to go back three times, and when i asked for a break-down of the plan, the response I got was,"I am not repeating anything. That is in the past. I won't say a word about it." I also asked him about the document that contained the break down which was never given, and he had the audacity to say to his manager, "they are trying to trap us, they dropped in on the floor on their way out." He rushed us out, saying, "it's done with, NEXT!!" I am totally disgusted with the whole situation. More

Found a certified pre owned Accord online and figured I would take the trip in to Queens to check the car out and hopefully drive it home today. After 3 hours of paperwork, test driving, and waiting for t would take the trip in to Queens to check the car out and hopefully drive it home today. After 3 hours of paperwork, test driving, and waiting for them to find keys to move cars out of the way for me to even start the test drive, I find out that the car was a repossession and they don't have the title to the car. Basically, I can't buy the car because the title in not in the possession of Paragon. Title still in the possession of original owner who most likely will not sign papers to give the title up. I actually shouldn't of even been able to test drive the car in the 1st place since Paragon DOESN'T own the thing. Crooks I tell ya. Do not waste a minute of your time going to this place. Nowhere to park. You have to walk all over the place looking for the car you want. It's just plain ridiculous. Car should've never been put on the internet in the first place. In my opinion, noone has a clue there. DO NOT DEAL WITH PARAGON HONDA!!! Buyer beware!!! More
