Out of State Buyers Beware! I contacted Paragon Honda with regarding a couple of their used vehicles. I received a call from Rick to help me answer my questions about the cars an I contacted Paragon Honda with regarding a couple of their used vehicles. I received a call from Rick to help me answer my questions about the cars and their availability. I provided him the stock numbers of the vehicles from the Paragon website. Since I am from outside the area I asked Rick questions about the cars that I could not tell from the images. He told me he would personally go look and call me back within the hour with his report. He NEVER called back. The next day I called him and he answered the questions, but never apologized for not calling me back. I told him that I would be traveling from out of state and really wanted one car. He told me that he could only hold the car for 24 hours for me to travel, so we planned on calling 1 day before I would be there. I called Rick back on a Wednesday late afternoon to tell him I would be at the dealership on Friday morning at opening time. I asked if it was possible to hold the car for just over the 24-hour time since I needed to make a few travel arrangements. He said that the car was right in front of him and that he would immediately go speak with his manager, but that he thought that it was close enough to the time I would be there that they would be willing to hold it. He said, “I will call you back if I cannot hold it for you yet.” He NEVER called me back. Based on his comment, I believed that the car was going to be held for me. I called back on Thursday, to confirm a few questions regarding payment options. Rick was not there but I spoke with a helpful lady whose name I cannot recall. I flew to NYC and arrived at the dealer promptly at 9:00 am, opening time. I asked to speak to Rick and was told he was not on the sales floor, but another sales person helped me. He was a nice guy. But he looked up Rick’s records. There were no stock numbers for the vehicles I asked to be held in Rick’s records, and the car Rick told me they would hold for me (by not calling back) was not there. I was devastated. The sales person called Rick and he denied everything about our conversation from earlier in the week. He called me a liar and refused to come speak face to face. The manager came over and spoke with me, and he stated that Rick had never spoke to him about me or holding the car for me. I strongly caution anyone who is not a local to reconsider dealing with this dealership, especially with Rick. I do not know what their deal is, but at best they are pulling something and are poor communicators, and at worst, they (Rick) are downright dishonest. I spent several hundred dollars and took a vacation day to travel there based on a promise that they did not keep and may never had intended to keep. More

She took the time to answer all my questions and concerns.She was polite and courteous,and made my used car buying experience stress free. She was a true Professional, thanks Monica. Manager Mike Adovitch made sure that I was completely satisfied with my purchase from start to finish. A true Proffessional and Gentleman,thanks Mike. Al from the financing department department was also extremely helpful and a good guy, thanks Al. Overall my experience at Paragon Honda went as smoothly and enjoyable as I could've hoped it to. Terrible experience for both used and new car purchase If I had opportunity to give zero stars that would have been my rating. Went to dealership to purchase a Honda CR-V. Sales person was very nice on both test ride and quote. They used big screen to calculate lease cost as a way to make the sales experience better.. the number presented was lower than expected, but with a couple caveats as the automated systems is not able to print out the details behind the lease terms. In any event, left deposit for vehicle and made arrangements to bring in car for trade in estimate the following day. After an hour with the my car, I was informed they would not be able to provide estimate until the car I wanted to purchase was in stock. I told the sales person that was not what we had discussed the previous day as I was not coming back 3-4 days later to be given my trade in value. My goal had been to review the details of the lease numbers and trade in value to finalize an agreement. I was informed that is not how they do business. I thought that was ridiculous as other dealerships have been able to give me a trade estimates in minutes. I asked for my deposit back and will NEVER do business with them again. This was the second time this dealership provided terrible service. I had purchased the vehicle which I was looking to trade in from their used service department. That was the worst car purchasing experience in my life (I've owned 18 vehicles). When buying a car, all kinds of promises are made. Once they have your money, then its a big F U. Seems like their certification process is a drive through car wash, then the owner comes back and has all the problems fixed. I had to bring in the car twice to their service center to complete the repairs to meet pre-owned certification. In addition was given the car without my any temp registration or gas, if I had not noticed this while filling up, then would have been driving the car illegally. Then the icing on the cake, was the 3 follow up trips to the dealership for my permanent registration after the temporary had expired. The dealership has lots of inventory and its centrally located, but beware of the service after deal is made. Seem like the culture of this location is to move cars first and customer service a very distant second. This rating only applies to the sales department. The service center experience has been excellent. More

I'm willing to wait just to get what I want for my new car but she mentioned that Honda is not anymore producing that kind of options. My experience at Paragon Honda, doing a first time lease for a 2016 Honda Accord ( a superb car in handling and appearance), was made positive throu My experience at Paragon Honda, doing a first time lease for a 2016 Honda Accord ( a superb car in handling and appearance), was made positive through the diligent and patient efforts of the entire staff that worked together in a team like capacity to assure I left there that evening, with a car I wanted, and a lease at the deal I could afford. Prior to visiting Paragon Honda, I went to Huntington honda in long island because of midnight madness, and Hillside Honda in Queens to compare prices. Disappointed with what either dealerships had to offer, and their sales tactics, Paragon was my last hope for leasing a Honda. Luckily, Paragon excelled where the other dealerships had failed. It was apparent immediately upon entering the Paragon honda showroom that conveying a standard of excellence for the Honda brand, sales, and service was a top priority. The atmosphere of the showroom is large, clean, organized, with sleek modular office furniture. It is very bright with floor to ceiling windows around perimeter. The cars are placed with enough space so they can be easily examined and comfortable to gain access to sit in them. There is a nice waiting area with complimentary beverages and snacks, and their bathrooms were spotless. Some people may not care about all these features, they just want to negotiate price and get the xxxx out. But, I took notice and appreciated that all of these attributes, consistently reflected the concientiousness of my overall dealer impression. The showroom staff were friendly, professional, and polite in their demeanor. The salesmen/women were all sharply dressed, well groomed and several of them were quite attractive, which frankly was a welcome departure from all the skeevy car dealerships with bad suits, bad hair, and bad breath, I had been subjected to in the last week deciding which car to lease. It was clearly evident that there was both good management and training at Paragon. Whoever was pulling the strings there was saavy and smart, and definitely had a vision they were projecting to their employees. In particular, I was impressed how the salesmen/women worked as a team together rather than against one another, this was refreshing and progressive, and made me feel positive about the entire sales experience and about them personally. Given that car salespeople universally suffer from a well deserved reputation indicating a lack of honesty, it was very refreshing to actually deal with two salesmen, Leonal Lucas and Angel Marmol who were both down to earth, soft spoken, patient, knowledgeable, honest gentlemen who met my demands to the best of their ability, without employing the usual overt or hidden obnoxious sales tactics. I really appreciated their candor and opinion, and I think they appreciated my seriousness and preparedness. Angel and Leonal were both worthy of the highest score of 10 on the customer satisfaction survey I submitted. I would recommend either sales professional, without hesitation. My advice in dealing with Paragon is to go there with your needs clarified, write down all questions, pay attention to contract details and fine print, be informed, be firm, but definitely be serious. I would never waste someone's time if I wasn't absolutely ready to make a deal. I think that the consumer needs to have sensitivity to that mutual effort you expect from a salesperson to spend a lot of time with someone unless they are ready to buy. If customer is nice, it would follow salesperson would be nice. They should be kind and patient, but it is unfair and unrealistic to expect unlimited patience. I think by working as a team they reinforce the strengths and deflect the weaknesses in each other, and this gave me the customer, more confidence in their combined abilities. Having the opportunity to deal with two excellent and experienced salesmen like Angel Marmol and Leonal Lucas changed my negative opinion about "all car salesmen". It showed me that it's not an easy job, long hours, commission only, no benefits, dealing with non serious buyers. The salesmen that make good money work really hard, and they have to be shrewd and read people, but I believe they will respect you and will work with you, when you know what you want and respect them, too.
