My husband and I had a terrible experience with Paragon Honda in Queens New York. We had pay the down payment of $500 to wait for a loaded 2007 Honda CRV . We were promised it would be here in 2 weeks. We Honda in Queens New York. We had pay the down payment of $500 to wait for a loaded 2007 Honda CRV . We were promised it would be here in 2 weeks. We were told that the shippment was late for another 2 weeks because of the weather. We told them when we ordered the car that we had planned for a two-week vacation if the car could not be here in that week. We was willing to pay for the whole amount in credit card but we would like to be sure that the car would be there when we came back from vacation. They told us that it would be fine and we would be able to pick up the car when we came back. When we came back and picked up the car, we were told that the car was sold to somebody else and they would refund our credit of $500. They are dishonous people. They probably sold the car to higher profit. The price to us was $27,500. We are very upset about the whole event. They do not care if we would report to the consumer affair. DO NOT BUY ANY CAR FROM THIS DEALER. More
This Dealer is BIG RIPOFF. They Don't let you meet the Finance Manager unless you buy the car insurance for the car and make a deposit on the Car. Once you buy the car insurance then you get stuck with h Finance Manager unless you buy the car insurance for the car and make a deposit on the Car. Once you buy the car insurance then you get stuck with higher APR. Can anyone tell those Cheaters that this is not fair deal to customers. Finance Mgr is suppose to tell the APR to the customer when financing. This is bad business. I will rather buy BMW now. Terrible Experience buying Acura from them. I was looking to buy a TL and visited Paragon, I told the salesperson I am serious buyer. First they wouldn't give me a Price and tell me that they will give me the Final price when I am ready to buy. Finally after 1 hour or talking we got to a number. I left and went back the following saturday. Once I arrive to the Paragon I inform the receptionist that I am here to buy a new TL. She asked me if I have been here before. I said yes but I like to see different salesperson because the last one I visited I couldn't understand a word he was saying to me. To make the story short we agree to a price, I left the deposit of $500 and also informed that I will come back another day with my family so that if everyone approves the deals then I will buy. The manager agreed and signed on the binding contract. I went home and did a research I felt that they were pricing me very high. I called them and asked them to cancel the deal and I like to get the refund. The salesperson said its fine. After that manager calls me and tells me that they will give me TL with NAV with the same price quoted if I come into office. I go to the OFFICE the same manager says I never said such a THING. COWARD. I was like ok I don't even want NAV then offer me discount on without NAV. He gives me discount little bit here and there. But he is asking me before I buy the car he wants to see the CHECK. I am like I want to see the FINANCING MANGER before I can buy. I am not taking the car home for free. How can I tell u if I can afford it or not. They charged my CC $3000 and I don't even know what my APR is. MANAGER says to me I can't see the FIN. Mgr because I need to purchase the Insurance first then I can see him. I tell him that thank for waisting so much of my time, I don't even want to buy from you. Please issue me my credit. I am waiting for my credit. I will file complaint against. They are crooks, they want to hook you on the price first. If that doesn't work they will hook you on the APR. Watch out FOLKS. Basically the bottom line is this dealer if they quote u a price. then the only thing left for them to make money is on APR. They knew my credit score was very high. They didn't want to sell me the car because they are making very little amount. This is abslute rip off Dealer. Please do yourself a big favour. I don't think anyone should trust this dealer. More

Similiar to another story, I made a deal on a Honda CRV-EX lease on one day that I was happy with. So I left a $1000 deposit on my American Express Credit Card. Two weeks later when the car came in a CRV-EX lease on one day that I was happy with. So I left a $1000 deposit on my American Express Credit Card. Two weeks later when the car came in and I thought I would simply sign some papers and drive away with the car. Wrong! I met with the Finance Manager, he started striping away incentives from the deal becuase he said the price was too low. He then said I could have some of the orginal deal for another $15 a month. He stated the sales person made a mistake and that the particular lease company that I was put through did not offer these incentives. I rufused to pay the extra money and they brought in the sales manager Shawn Mirchandani. I should Shawn my contract and he said he could not help me and that the contract was not signed by a manager, thus was no good. I asked for my deposit back, he stated it would have to be done Monday. That confused me, because they can make charges but could not refund on the weekend? I called American Express and had them stop payment. This is old classic car dealer trick, they hedge their bet that the customer will fold because they really want the car. I did not! More
Long story short.... just pass Paragon by DO NOT STOP if you see any adds from them Don’t waste your time they will scam you .If you see any positive adds about them here they are from employees. I bought you see any adds from them Don’t waste your time they will scam you .If you see any positive adds about them here they are from employees. I bought a car from them after seeing a add that was misleading (well it was a flat out lie) I took the car back the salesman and they wanted to give me half what I just paid them a month ago. Then they wanted to give me the same SUV 2 years newer for 4 times what they said mine was worth.. Getting to the point They could not show me a car fax the system was down. Now buying from a dealer they have to disclose any accidents witch they told me there was none, along with the 3rd row seat the salesman told me it had (it had the compartment all right, but when I got home and opened it there was nothing there like it had been stripped out) among other things I have had the car 3 months put 1700 miles on it spent over $3000 in parts this car only had 50400 miles on it and this is what I have replace in 1700 miles. Upper ball joints Lower control arms Water pump and upper and lower water hose Heater core Thermostat 2 power door locks Shocks Ignition and plugs they did not even have the correct plugs in this thing. I tried to trade it in (since I have a family and the thing brakes down on me every time I drive it) and the new dealer got me a car fax this thing was wrecked one year after build and has had 6 owners in 3 years. Its worth about $1000 . I would have never even looked twice at this thing if I seen the car fax and they new it. Now I owe $10,000 on a car worth $1,000 and I am scared to drive it with my daughter in the car. THEY WILL SCAM YOU More
I went to Paragon Honda (Woodside, NY) on 01/08/2007 for 2007 Honda Odyssey EXL (silver). Thier internet department had contacted me. They gave me a very low price quote (27345 including all fees except f 2007 Honda Odyssey EXL (silver). Thier internet department had contacted me. They gave me a very low price quote (27345 including all fees except for registration and tax). they gave this in writing and took a 500$ deposit. They gave me in writing that the total including tax the total would be 29400. Emmanuel, thier sales person who dealt with me, told me to pick the car up on 01/10/2007 evening and he told me he would give me VIN no so that I could buy insuarance before coming in. they did my credit check and my score in very good region. While dealing for this price they did lot of tricks like saying just pay the deposit and we will give you a VIN number right now. After I gave deposit, the told me that the exact vehile is not known and they would give the number after a day. On 01/10/2007 eveining when I went there to buy the van, the finance manager told me that if did not buy the extended warranty, they will not be able to sell the car. I immediately said no as the warranty would have costed me thousands. the manager then told me that they cannot sell the vehicle. When I asked about refund, he told me they would reund the amount to my credit card. After few weeks when I enquired about refund, they tried to sell me white or black minivan. I refused these colors and then they offered me 2006 silver odyssey with DVD at same price, which I again refused it was from old model year. After that I tried numerous times to contact them for refund, but nobody picks up the phone. I have complained about them at BBB, FTC. I will file a claim for punitive damages in the cosumer court. Should teach such kind of thugs a lesson. More
On their ADs, they offer speical 1.9% APR. After you have a deal with the sale person, the finance manager is giving you the hard time about the financing. In order to get their special low APR rate, he asks a deal with the sale person, the finance manager is giving you the hard time about the financing. In order to get their special low APR rate, he asks you to buy two of five after sales service packages such as extenend warranty ($2,000), passive alarm ($600) so on ... If you refuse to buy any packages, the finance manager would not approve that 1.9% APR promotion rate. If you want to pay off the new car by giving the bank check (pre-approve by another bank), he said the dealer will charge $500 bank fee). *BS - I don't believe any bank will charge their customers $500 fee to deposit a $15,000 bank check. If you want to pay off the new car by credit card, he said the dealer does not accept credit card. *another BS - if the dealer does not accept any credit card, why accepting customer's deposit by credit card? Anyway, you need to be careful to deal with the finance manager at Paragon. In order to get their low rate APR promotion, the trade off is buying their service packages. Good Luck! More
Tried to use the bait and switch tactic on me. Internet salesperson, Kimberly Rojas, assured me that the vehicle I wanted was in stock and to make my appointment on the weekend. She called me twice in the salesperson, Kimberly Rojas, assured me that the vehicle I wanted was in stock and to make my appointment on the weekend. She called me twice in the week to make sure I come down to the dealership. I asked her again if vehicle was available and she says it is. I made my appointment and she was not there and was quickly assigned a salesperson, Chris Kim. Chris tells me that the vehicle I wanted was not available and if I would like to see another. I flipped out and made a scene at the showroom. I asked why did you waste my time calling me into the showroom when you don't have the vehicle I wanted. He kept apologizing profusely. Later, I came to realize that the internet sales dept earn their living by trying to get customers into their showroom regardless if they have the vehicle or not. Just do yourself a favor AVOID PARAGON HONDA. Also, they refused to match or beat pricing I got from another dealership. They requsted I show proof of pricing which I did and they still refused. More
dealership is terrible.... we signed the contract....but when we went to get the car.. they say that since only we signed it..and the manager didn't.. we can't get the same deal that we previously agreed on when we went to get the car.. they say that since only we signed it..and the manager didn't.. we can't get the same deal that we previously agreed on.. and they only tell me this after i take out a bank check for the downpayment. TERRIBLE.. gave us the runaround before finally speaking to the manager..which was utterly useless More
I'm new at this car buying thing, but let me tell you that I left the dealership fuming!!! THEY SUCK BIG TIME!!!! I saw a car online that I was interested in, so I sent an email. The next day someone that I left the dealership fuming!!! THEY SUCK BIG TIME!!!! I saw a car online that I was interested in, so I sent an email. The next day someone calls me to make an appt for 2 days later. Mind you, I told her about the car I wanted to see. The next day, someone else called to confirm the appt, and I also told her about the car. When I got there after work, some punk shakes my hand and gives me a financing application as soon as I walked in. Like I said, I'm new at this, so I know now that I should have just left. But instead I filled it out, and the jerk is sitting there making wisecracks about me getting lost and how it's a big lot, then when I left something out on the application he made a comment about "that's why he marked it with 2 X's". I just gave him a dirty look. He obviously didn't know what he was doing, and asked me the same questions twice. At one point he asked me who would drive the car, and I said it was just me. 10 seconds later, he asked me "who else" would drive the car.... I couldn't believe it, and said, "I just told you it was only me." He was like, "Oh ok, you did say that." I ALSO mentioned to him about the car I wanted to see. He then got up to answer his cell phone, and some other jackass comes over to shake my hand. He claimed that I was interested in a 2002 car that I never even heard of. I corrected him and told him what I was looking for. He also had wrong info about the car I was trading in. Then I started getting pissed. I really felt like they had no clue or interest in what I wanted. I asked him why I had to fill out an application when I didn't even see the car, and he LAUGHED and said that the car was sold 2 days ago. I lost it!!!!! I got up and raised my voice, "You mean to tell me that I sat here for 20 minutes filling out an application without even seeing a car and now you tell me that it's sold?! And you think it's funny? Why didn't anyone tell me that?" He got uncomfortable and started looking around. Then he said that they had just found out it was sold (BS) and that he could get me a newer car for less $$ (more BS). I continued to raise my voice and said I wasn't interested and that they just wasted my time and lost a good customer. At that point I just walked out. I sent a nasty email. A week later some rep called me to find out what happened. I told her how unprofessional and dumb the staff was, and that I was definitely going to spread the word. Half an hour later, a manager called to say how sorry he was that this happened, and how he wished he had helped me from the beginning. Oh well, as they say, too little, too late..... They can ALL KISS MY ASS. I'll never go back. More
