I bought a 2004 Honda accord in 2003. They have not changed 1. Waited 6 hours for whole transaction. I was worn down at the end. 2. Given a new car with 50 miles on it or wait two weeks for a "newer car" (two week wait) 3. Finance Manager was awful. I had to correct his math. 4. Salesman Gary Lin never revealed true MSRP. Saleman showed only internet quote. 5. New Salesman are Gary Lin clones, (pushy and rude) 6. it took another seven hours to get the car tinted with the service department. Buyer beware. More
I went to Paragon Honda with a friend of mine as we were both interested in purchasing accords. I was looking into the 08' accord coupe EXL and my friend the 08' accord sedan EXL. We got into the dealership both interested in purchasing accords. I was looking into the 08' accord coupe EXL and my friend the 08' accord sedan EXL. We got into the dealership and had to wait around for about 30 minutes before anyone bothered to ask us if we needed help. After the salesmen found out we were both interested in buying, they offered us both a great price on the cars. However, the cars will have to be shipped from a separate warehouse and will take about 2 days for the coupe and a week+ for the sedan as they needed to conduct a swap for the black/black. We both left a downpayment of 1,000 and left. The next day I received a call from Paragon telling me the VIN number of the vehicle and that it was ready for pickup. But because it was too late to register the car w/ my insurance, I told them I would pick it up the next day. After registering the car under my insurance, I called Ed and asked if the car was ready for pick up. He said yes it is ready. I went in with my father and Ed told us that the car had been sold and driven off just two hours before we had gotten there. Mind you, the vehicle is under MY INSURANCE. How on earth can they do that? They told us they would get us a new one right away and only needed some time. We gave them a weeks time and asked for out downpayment back after. They took 4 more days to get the downpayment ready for us to pickup and when it finally was ready for pickup, they had a stack of papers for me to sign. As I took up the pile and started to read them, Ed tells me that there is no need to read them and that it is just paperwork to get the downpayment back and cancel the contract. I still wanted to read it. As I flipped the first page, Ed GRABS AND JERKS the entire folder of documents from me and accused me of being rude and storms off. Are you kidding me? This is by far the worst dealership I have ever stepped foot into. They are comprised of a talented group of Professional lieing, cheating, cunning, and ill-mannered people. More
My fiance and I purchased a 2008 Accord EXL w/ Navi from this dealership in July. Paragon was able to offer the best price for the vehicle (beat other offers by ~$200). Although they offered us the best p this dealership in July. Paragon was able to offer the best price for the vehicle (beat other offers by ~$200). Although they offered us the best price, I would NOT recommend that anyone buy their vehicle from Paragon. This dealership failed at every turn to offer the most basic service possible. They lied about our car being detailed and ready for pickup, which wouldnt have been that big a problem if we hadn't been told it was ready for pickup and made to wait three hours at the dealership and return the next day. They lied about filling out our DMV documentation to register and license the vehicle (only after repeated calls from us, did Paragon get us our permanant plates THREE weeks after our thirty day temporary license expired!!! Most dealerships will get you your plates well within the thirty days). Worst of all, they lied about sending a copy of our proof of sale/window sticker to our insurance company. We found out that they handn't sent it via a mail correspondence from Geico telling us we did not have collision coverage since they hadn't received said documents. The salesman at this dealership are polite and courteous but are completely inept at doing thier jobs and must be prodded to do their jobs every step of the way. For what it's worth, if its only a $200 difference, buy your car from a better rated dealership and not from Paragon. More
Under their high pressure tactics, we put a deposit on a car on July 13th, and then realized by the next day that they were just trying to push this one off on us because no one else was buying it (the car car on July 13th, and then realized by the next day that they were just trying to push this one off on us because no one else was buying it (the car had an avg of 30K miles per year). So we called them the next day requesting a refund. To date, and after numerous calls, they still have not put the amount back on our credit card, but they have had the nerve to call us numerous times to rate their customer service. And if you try calling them, you just get a big runaround. Best advice, avoid them. More
- On July 10 I purchased a Honda Civic vehicle from Paragon dealership in Woodside, NY. I felt that I was coerced and pressured into a lease agreement. Therefore, I asked to change the lease agreemen Paragon dealership in Woodside, NY. I felt that I was coerced and pressured into a lease agreement. Therefore, I asked to change the lease agreement from lease to outright purchase. I requested a new bill of sale at price originally agreed upon for purchase minus alarm and a fee which Paragon explained as a "check services" to make certain the new vehicle is in perfect working order. - I made several phone calls, but only received response after writing to NY Better Business Bureau. After my experience with the Dealership, I asked to receive in writing the price of the car with list of required fees that have been added. I indicated that upon receipt I would prepare a certified check for an outright pruchase with no lease or financing. - I asked for this information in writing to be sent to me by mail, e-mail, or fax; however, I have not yet received any written communication. Worst dealership ever. Whenever you deal with this dealership make sure everything is documented. They would take back on their words and disregard on agreements unless it is on paper. Customer servic dealership make sure everything is documented. They would take back on their words and disregard on agreements unless it is on paper. Customer service is virtually non existent after the point of sale. Being a recent graduate of college me and my entire circle will NOT be shopping at Paragon Honda. More
When I first visited Paragon, it was a very friendly experience. The only thing that people might experience, that I did, was that it was very busy over there. They are making deals left and right, and experience. The only thing that people might experience, that I did, was that it was very busy over there. They are making deals left and right, and sometimes you might be left waiting. But all the waiting isn't such a big deal, because when you're spending so much money, it's nice to be given time to think things through. They too were patient with us, when we needed to pick the car up with our trade-in. It took a few days for the title come through, but in the end we were delighted. Upon visiting the dealer the second day to make the deal, and buy the car, we met with a business manager to go over financing. We were pitched three add ons - extended warranty (6 years/120k miles for 1400), loss protection - replacement plan, and tire replacement plan (like a tire insurance plan). We went for warranty at first, and rejected the rest. But when we were told our APR would decrease from 7.39 to 3.09 - a considerable interest decrease - only if we got the loss protection plan (which I think is less than the 4.5 % difference in APR). We took the loss plan - which is actually worth something - instead of paying the extra interest with nothing in return. But, of course, that deal was a little bit too "magic" to understand. I think they were just trying to make some $$ in some kind of horse trade, but we're ok with it. In the end, we were very very satisfied - even though we were very nervous for a little while after having read the previous reviews left on this website. More
After 6 hours of BS they managed to rip me off on $1200. Car came incomplete, with just one key. Took 2 weeks to get another key, which is refusing to start the car at times. I guess $1200 is enough money f Car came incomplete, with just one key. Took 2 weeks to get another key, which is refusing to start the car at times. I guess $1200 is enough money for them to risk a bad publicity. Beware! More
1. They don’t deliver the necessary services dealers should provide. I got a leasing contract from Paragon Honda for a 2008 Honda Civic on around March 23rd. The sales person Donald Li, promised that t should provide. I got a leasing contract from Paragon Honda for a 2008 Honda Civic on around March 23rd. The sales person Donald Li, promised that they would handle all the things including insurance and registration. But after problems came out, I gave them about 10 calls and they always promised to call me back but they NEVER did. For the insurance, I believe they intentionally showed me the insurance quote with insufficient coverage (the lease has an item about coverage) to tempt me to sign the lease, since I told them insurance was my concern. I contacted them and visited them in person, they said it was not their problem and asked me to handle it by myself. For the registration, my temporary registration has expired for almost three weeks and I haven’t got it yet. I visited them in person after several “I-will-call-you-back” calls and their manager was just making up stories. Now I got mails from both insurance company and leasing company warning that I don’t have enough coverage for my lease, and I don’t have a registration for my car. Mail says my insurance will be cancelled if I fail to provide the registration. 2. They forged my signature in a contract. I found a discrepancy of my payment and I found out I had been enrolled in a Motor Club. I asked for the agreement from club and found out that I DID NOT sign the contract. There was a signature which LOOKS LIKE but IS NOT mine. Paragon Honda forged it. The manager said they would figure it out and call me back, but the call never came. 3. They didn’t remind me of optional service. I carefully read the contract when problems came up, and I found optional service was added into it. I was told that the service would be provided, but they didn’t mention a word that this service is optional and causes extra expense. Funniest thing is this service does exactly the same thing as the “Motor Club” contract does. More
I have a horrible experience at this dealership. Yesterday I finalized a deal with one of the Sales Manager for a new Honda Pilot 2009. This is after the usual song and dance show of: sales person Yesterday I finalized a deal with one of the Sales Manager for a new Honda Pilot 2009. This is after the usual song and dance show of: sales person takes your offer to the manager and the manager comes with a price, you refuse and ready to walk away and then the manager comes in to negotiate the final offer. Well we finallized the deal with all details since this will be my 6th lease with Honda. I know pretty much what needs to said without leaving any loopholes that they can use against you. I told them that I will be back the next day with the money for down payment and my old Pilot (to turn it in). I went in today with my entire family as they were interested to come back on the new car. After I chose the color and sit down to sign the papers the sales person almost doubles the monthly pay, telling me that this is what the head of sales at this dealership wants to charge. He acknowledged the conversation that we had yesterday but he is an employee and needs to follow boss'es orders. I called the sales manager who had made the final negotiated offer yesterday. He also was surprised at this number and apologized for this error and rushed back to the sales chief to get the final negotiated price that he quoted. He comes back 10 minutes later with a sad face and said that he has to follow what the General Sales Manager wants. I was extremely disappointed but being a gentleman walked away from them. I caution everyone going to this store to be extremely careful. More
