Let me say that my experience dealing with Rick was excellent. He was courteous, attentive, honest, and seemed to really care about making my experience a decent one. I came to Paragon Honda because I excellent. He was courteous, attentive, honest, and seemed to really care about making my experience a decent one. I came to Paragon Honda because I found a good price on a 2006 certified Honda Pilot. I was very disappointed to find out the the car had not been certified prior to my arriving and it left a very bitter taste in my mouth. After all was said and done, Joe, the sales manager (very reluctantly) promised me that he would certify the vehicle if I were to purchase it. Although he did, I could tell that he didn't want to. Rick, on the other hand, assured me that the vehicle would go through the rigorous certification process to meet Honda's standard. He even stayed two hours late to make sure my car was in order. I am not only very pleased with my vehicle, but astonished that Rick was able to provide me that kind of customer service in an environment that clearly is not customer oriented. Anyway thank you Rick! More
After dealing with several unscrupulous dealers, one of which attempted to attach a "destination charge" of $1200 on a used vehicle that two hours before he told me he "took in" himself, we ended up at Par which attempted to attach a "destination charge" of $1200 on a used vehicle that two hours before he told me he "took in" himself, we ended up at Paragon. I must admit, it was a bit of a shock to get a phone call while enroute to the dealership from the marketing department, who told us to ask for Joe Carusone when we arrived. It turns out that their internet marketers check on you almost immediately after you do the "black book" valuation on your trade-in. Upon arrival we were greeted and directed straight to Joe, who knew the stock of Honda Pilots almost by memory. After listening to our needs, he sent us to see several models with Sal, who is a bright young man with a good "customer first" attitude. After seeing the Pilots on two lots, we got down to numbers which is always the place where we began having troubles. For instance, at Route 22 Honda, along with their bogus (fraudulent?) destination charge, they also had a $349 "dealer administration" charge which included a $99 "computer" charge (why, did they need a new laptop?), and tried to sneak in a $699 "millennium Package" (we're ten years into the millennium, why do I need this?)which sounded suspiciously similar to the "undercoating" made so famous by the movie "Fargo." Well, after a bit of a rough start with Joe, we ended up getting a good price on a Pilot along with a fair trade-in value. Our only negatives were the tremendous amount of time wasted sitting in the dealership while they tried to figure out what seemed to be simple issues regarding payment and insurance. If you are using another bank to finance your purchase, be sure to get a certified check from them as they are not familiar with the concept of ACH transfers or electronic checks. In fact, another manager, who failed to identify himself by name (but looks like a cross between Woody Allen and that guy from Die Hard who says "Hans, Bubbie, I'm your white knight!")who told me with a straight face that it would be irresponsible to think that a payment could be made electronically. When I pointed out that his theory was faulty, as I could just as easily produce a fake check on a printer as I could an ACH electronic check, I was told that they were doing all they could to be reasonable. Well, welcome to the 21st Century, guy. The other hang up was with the insurance card, and took a twenty minute phone call to my carrier to finally resolve. If you have a good insurance company who will work with you, you'll be fine, but beware if you do not. Overall this was certainly not a sign-and-drive experience, but for the most part I would recommend the dealership for their pricing and willingness to find the right car for your needs and budget. when my car would not start I called Anthony Petito and he walked me through what to do. I managed to get the car started and drove to Paragon, whereupon Angel Cruz took care of servicing my car. Alex Bifina (service advisor) from Paragon Honda in Woodside is the best service advisor’s I have ever dealt with. I have been going to Paragon Honda since 2006. I have just once made the mistake of Woodside is the best service advisor’s I have ever dealt with. I have been going to Paragon Honda since 2006. I have just once made the mistake of going to Hillside Honda in Jamiaca and the worst experience I ever had. I was upset with the way I was treated. Paragon Honda is far from where I live but it is worth every bit of it. I have never dealt with such professionalism, personable and an understanding individual. He understands your car needs, even if it may be a regular servicing for maintenance or a specific concern you have. You will not walk out of there until your concerns are completely addressed. He is very honest. He will work with you and to the best interest of your concern, may it be time or financial. If I could rate Alex from 1 to 10, I would rate him and his excellent service an 11! Thank you Alex for all you have done. Ruchita S. More
The personal attention that my wife and I received was incredible. What stood out more was the fact that the business manager Mr. Sediqzadah, worked just as hard as Mr. Hossain to make sure that we left incredible. I was in ther market for a 2007 certified used Honda Odyssey. I live in an area of New York (Finger Lakes region) where there is very limited inventory of used cars, so they tend to be expensive. So I w Odyssey. I live in an area of New York (Finger Lakes region) where there is very limited inventory of used cars, so they tend to be expensive. So I went to www.cars.com and came up with a list of 2007 EX-Ls with less that 30,000 miles, ranked price lower to higher and decided to look at the chapest ones first. Based on the list price Apple honda was the cheapest, but when you look at the details of their price, then want to add over $2,000 in fees (what a scam). I also saw Route 22 Honda and they had a cars that looked to be at a good price (~$21K), but the fine print said something about Loyalty and Recent College graduate discount. I called ahead and spoke to a sales agent who confirmed that the price DID NOT reflect any discounts, so I drove 4 hours to the dealership. When I arrived the car was in pretty shabby condition (stained carpets, etc.) and when I started to talk price the manager said that the sales person had made a mistake over the phone. The price was $23K, and I did not qualify for a $1,500 owener loyalty discount (as I had not bought a car from them in the last 6 months) or the $500 recent college grad discount (for a Minivan?) that they had included in the list price. I was very upset and left. Shame on Apple Honda and Route 22 Honda for their deceptive practices. I wish Honda USA would crack down on them for this. I looked at my list again and called Paragon Honda. They had a minivan for a bit less than $21K, so I called them and they assured me they did not have any gimmicks on the price. When I arrived and looked the car over it was in very decent shape. They did not budge on the price as they felt it was low enough (and I agree it was a very good price). They did not add any other fees either, although I felt the trade-in value that I got was kind of low. At this point I was in a real hurry to leave because I had to do additional errands and drive back home another 4 hours, so they did the best they could to get the car ready in time. I came in to the dealership around 12:00 and left around 5:00. The sales person I dealt with was Sayeed and his manager was Joe. I had a very good expereince with both and I felt they treated me very fairly. The one thing I will say is that the dealership is very busy, so everyone there is very rushed. Be prepared for that. Having said this, if and when I am in the market for a new or used Honda they will be my 1st choice because they delivered on their promises. Period. If they had not fdollowed through my trip would have been a complete waste of time. But if possible next time I would try to sell my used car on my own to get a bit more money. Thanks Paragon Honda for saving my trip and selling me a nice car for a great price. David More
