DO NOT BUY. I tried to leave a review on their website and it was deleted saying I used profanity when I did not. I purchased the 2020 Honda HRV on April 7th 2021 It is a certified preowned car and only had approximately 3000 miles at the time of purchase. Last night (06/09/2021) I was sitting in my car (fully turned off because these gas prices is EXPENSIVE). Around 8 pm I tried starting the car and to my shock the car would not start. The car would not start after my attempts over a 45 minute period. AAA arrived around 9:30 pm and managed to reset the computer and got the car to start. I drove the car for roughly 30 minutes and arrived home. This morning (06/10/2021) I brought the car to Nardy Honda 559 Middle Country Road St. James NY 11780. Since this car was purchased certified preowned very recently I didn’t need to have any service done on the car. I’ve been driving this car exactly in the same condition as when I purchased it. The service center informed me that whomever did the last oil change did not close the oil cap (which would be Honda since it is certified preowned and they did it before giving me the car). Needless to say there’s oil everywhere. It will cost a lot of time, money to fix. What is worse it was a safety hazard while I was driving it. I called Sam Kolar who is the one I worked with when purchasing the vehicle. I’m a bit taken back that I was asked • “so what do you want me to do” and • “why didn’t you come here?” meaning why I didn’t go to the Paragon service center in Woodside NY. Let me point out – I think the sales team needs some training because the terms of the Honda warranty in the letter I received said I can take my car to “ANY authorized Honda dealer in the US”. If you need a copy I can mail it to you. • Why am I being chastised for not going back to Woodside NY? • Why am I asked such inhumane questions • Why isn’t your sales representative even the least bit concerned that had I not taken the car to Honda this morning and driving around in the car in the condition it was in (caused by Honda) could have resulted in a casualty? Now I have asked the sales representative Sam Kolar to provide his manager’s phone number and he said his manager will call me. I called Sam at 11:08 AM EST. It is now 3:04 PM EST and I am yet to receive a call from Mr. Camilo Barrientos. It seems I made the gravest mistake of my life to switch from Toyota to Honda. My son and I could have been seriously injured if we kept driving around in a car flooded with oil because someone forgot to put the cap on. And there was absolutely no remorse on the part of Honda. More
