The short of it is: I ultimately came to a deal I was comfortable with and Paragon Acura's pricing is transparent and somewhat better than other Acura dealers. My sales consultant Jahsid was pretty s comfortable with and Paragon Acura's pricing is transparent and somewhat better than other Acura dealers. My sales consultant Jahsid was pretty solid. Worked hard to get me a deal, followed up with me after I walked and ultimately kept pushing up the chain to get some kind of deal done. Throughout the process and even after the deal was done, he always answered my texts and calls, even on his days off. Strong character, tells it's straight and while I didn't always agree with his logic and sales pitch, always was courteous, attentive and generous with his time and attention. Beyond my direct consultant, I definitely didn't love everything about my experience at this dealership. There's some funny stuff they pull a little bit with not reserving cars and creating competition between sales people -- one sales guy had one of the keys to the car I bought, they had to mail it -- this might work on their end for creating some sort of "buy it now or lose it atmosphere" but definitely distracts from positive customer experience. On top of that, it ultimately took two full days waiting around the dealer and traveling between their three locations in the same busy area of queens before being able to walk away with a car at the price I said I'd pay 2 hours into the first day. Finance team and registration folks were pretty efficient though and the dealership did in the end work with me on the deal so all's well that ends well I suppose. May or may not recommend dealer overall but if you work with Jahsid, you may get a deal you can live with and you won't be ghosted or left hanging on anything through the process. More
