Bait and Switch! I was looking to buy RL 2008 for a Bait and Switch! I was looking to buy RL 2008 for a reasonable price which I saw online, called to confirm it and set up a test drive in 2 hours. The middle-aged rep Arthur (the rep I talked to on the phone and confirmed the availability of the vehicle and its tech package) was very courteous and polite when he met me at the dealership so it was a nice and promising beginning. He introduced me to Vincent who was supposed to arrange test drive. Then I spent 15 minutes while he was filing out papers with my info, than he was locating the car for another 25 min. He came back to me with words: "I have a good and a bad news for you: the car was stolen from the dealership and now found all ruined, but we have another one, the same year and color and about the same mileage". I decided to take a shot, he asked me for my d/l, I test drove the vehicle which was fine, but the problem was he never returned my license back (I realized it only when I came back home). The price they asked for the vehicle was 4K more that the one I came for, although they were ready to nock off $2300 I felt I was being fooled so we didn't make a deal. All next day I spent trying to reach Vincent over the phone to get my license back, I talked to the receptionist 3 times, left 2 messages before I called and threatened to complain to her manager if she didn't put me through with the guy. Vincent first was trying to convince me that he actually returned my license but then promised to look for it and to give a call back. He never called me back. Next day I had to spend about 3 hours on visiting my DMV to get a duplicate. It was absolutely negative experience. More
I went to numerous acura dealers to find a 2010 TSX w/ a 6 sp. Apparently a tall order with the cash 4 clunkers fiasco in full force. First the the salesman joe r. was courteous, professional and jumped through some hoops to get the car for me and the worked out a great deal for me- a lower price than some other dealers and immediate delivery. He was very patient, polite, and courteous. He put me good hands to work out the financing and he stayed considerably late to close the deal. So finally the deal is closed. I figured at that point- deal is done they got their money- they would kick me out and tell me to have a nice life- but then came a young lady named Wendy. She inspected the car- found out it was missing the navigation discs, she went and got them. She made sure everything worked. Then she explained in detail every single non- intuative option to me - voice commands, navigation, etc. The car has a million options in it and comes with a text book as an owners manual. She spent 45 min showing me everything and answering all of my questions in detail - and this all well after the showroom is closed. She is also very courteous, professional, and patient. Mark Ma was courteous and helpful but did not follow up on my request for more information about his cars. I just trade in my Lexus RX350 for a MDX at Paragon today. And I know Freddie for quite a long time, he is a truly fantastic person! Professional and friendly. Not because he work as a sales and wants to get your business, his kindness and willing to help really impressed me. He helped me to close a deal on Aug 17th, and I have the car 2 days later. Although, I didn't get the white I like, but I am still happy with my decision. Really don't want shop around in different dealer, I think you all have the experience with sale peoples. Yeah, I've read other peoples' feed backs here. But hey, you never can make everyone satisfied. I also went to Paragon Honda just next door to check the Pilot, but not only the sales are lousy but also the managers. You should see their attitude when you ask them questions, I guess the CARS program give them plenty fish to chose. And I don't even want to bother myself to rate their service as complaint. Anyway, Overall I am like Paragon Acura, it's the level of the reputation of the Brand name. Just like Lexus, Benz, and BMW, the showroom is pretty neat, the people works there are well knowledge and trained. Almost everyone is very kind to you, they have patient and positive solutions. Again, I'd like to say thank you to Sales Manager: Freddie, Derrick, Ellen; Service Manager: Wendy; Finance Manager: James. Thank you for all your time to have me. My experience at Paragon Acura went better than I expected. The salesman Mark Ma is a true professional and I can only hope that any future customers can experience what I did. The moment I set foot in the door I was met with courtesy, professionalism and respect. I was able to take time and really go over any details & questions I had. The salesperson is on top of his game and is not your typical car salesman. He is not pushy, over the top and impatient. Rather Mark is able to guide with dilligence and patience. I was able to get the vechicle I desired and I am extremely satisfied. The finance mananger Mike Francis is excellent. Overall the experience was delightful and more importantly the car is great. I thank Paragon Acura for displaying true professionalism. The car they sold is great and our family is delighted and excited for our new car. We are looking forward to enjoying the new Acura RDX. It was a 2008 Acura TL Type S VIN number 19UUA76528A017285. I set up my insurance, checked my credit, worked out financing. I also cleaned my car to possibly use as a trade in vehicle. I also reviewed this car for hours and checked the Car Fax. Overall a lot of time was spent. So, I called to make sure the car was still there and they called me to confirm an appointment. I went in on July 31st and sat down with a salesperson. He took some information from me and I proceeded to ask before we start lets take the car for a test drive. He tells me he will go check. He comes back and tells me "it was just sold" and instantly said "but we have a white one"! Pure bait and switch tactics! I obviously stormed out of there. He had the audacity to say "come back again"! I had two friends call and see what they would say to them if they asked if the car was available. Paragon Acura told both of my friends that the car is available. They just use the car as bait!! Please do something about these scam artists. Their website says its available. More
overall i had a good review of the dealership buying was easy but follow up was horriable my acura did not come with code for navigation ( card ). i left mult messages and no one got back to me. finally aft easy but follow up was horriable my acura did not come with code for navigation ( card ). i left mult messages and no one got back to me. finally after going in and talking to service dept they pulled my file, and said it was not in their so they would have to pull the unit. to get the numbers for me and it would take an hour, mind u, it took all day to buy the car over 6 hrs, and i called the next day for the codes..so they recomended when i come in for an oil change they would get it for me. i feel as thoe they only care about the sale right now and once ur out the door ur on your own. I inquired about prices for a 2009 TL; his reply was to go corroborate with other dealers, and to then return and he will negotiate a price for me. This is the second time I go here and the last. I bought my first Acura from Acura of manhattan and they were very polite and helpful. Don't waste your time with this insignificant dealer ( Paragon of Queens). More
