My Windstar failed a mandatory safety inspection on 2/14 and Ford purchased it providing a rental. Matthews had a newer Freestar with service history. I purchased it and picked it up 2/15. D. Port&J. We obtained our last car and our new vehicle, an Edge, from Matthews. Both times, we worked with Tom Delaney. He went out of his way and spent the time to make sure that we understood all the features of our new vehicle. Tom and Matthews made certain that our needs were met and that we were more than satisfied. We have found the Service Department at Matthews to also be first rate. They are courteous, professional and get the job done right the first time at a fair price. Over the years, we have dealt with a number of dealerships(including some "high end makes"). - Sales experience was easy. The dealer gave their discount right away, I did not have to haggle to get a good price (which turned out to be the lowest I could find). - The vehicle I wanted was hard discount right away, I did not have to haggle to get a good price (which turned out to be the lowest I could find). - The vehicle I wanted was hard to find so I had to order it. It took a long time to arrive due to some of the options I wanted being in short supply. The dealer kept me informed of the progress and kept trying to find a suitable vehicle they could trade for. I felt they did the best they could to speed the process up. - When I picked up the vehicle, the "paper work" was all ready to be explained and signed. The car cover I ordered through the service department was already in the trunk. - My sales associate, Mr Koons, spent all the time I wanted explaining the controls and features of the vehicle. Especially helpful was emphasizing that Reverse for the 6 speed manual on the new vehicle was in a different location than reverse on my older 5 speed transmission and to be careful not to inadvertently select 6th gear (forward) instead of reverse. I did not think to much of it at the time but later caught myself doing just that. I might not have done so without that emphasis. More

I contacted Tom Delaney at Matthews Ford, whom we had purchased (2) vehicles from in the past, and he was very upbeat and helpful on the phone. He suggested I e-mail him our specs, which I did, and he would get back to me. Tom researched the vehicle, got back to me in a timely manner and gave me a price. We talked back and forth for several days via phone and he was more than willing to work with us on price and accessories. We feel completely satisfied with our experience and would recommend Tom and Matthews to anyone shopping for a car and a good conscientious salesman. Thank You for the "no nonsense" experience! I felt very good leaving with my new car. The service was great. They made me feel important. I was in a car accident and was not happy to be looking for a car. I also needed it quickly so I pretty much had in mind what I wanted. When I went in to actually purchase the car, everyone was super friendly and worked to get everything ready for me, even though I was really early. This was only the third car I've ever purchased but it the absolute best experience so far. Though I am heart broken over my old car, I'm surprised to be so happy with the new one. I attribute that to the wonderful job Eric did of getting me the perfect balance of what I need and want in a new car. THANK YOU!!!!! More
