Panama City Toyota is a family-owned company that has operated under substantially the same ownership for over 25 years. We have significant ties to the community, and believe it is our obligation to make Bay County—really the entire Florida Panhandle—a better place to live.
Although family has tenure in the community and in the automotive business, the current leadership probably has more experience as an automotive customers than as an automotive operators. Hopefully this causes us to see everything through a “customer lens,” and keeps us from ever forgetting that unfamiliarity can be intimidating. We strive to eliminate that feeling.
An early tagline for the dealership was the recognizable phrase, “Where Relationships are Born.” While this may not always be used in the dealership’s current advertising, the sentiment remains. Here, our team recognizes it’s not about us, but instead it’s about you, the customer. You are the main character of the story and we are here simply to guide you into the perfect vehicle to accomplish your goals.

These include not only Toyota certified used vehicles, but also pre-owned vehicles of many other domestic and foreign brands. The sales part of my transaction was great, John is one of the best sales people I have ever worked with. The finance department was the worst. I went in with an 800 credit score and 25,000 down, my paymen of the best sales people I have ever worked with. The finance department was the worst. I went in with an 800 credit score and 25,000 down, my payment was suppose to be 469.00 for 48 months. As soon as I walked in to the finance department the payment was changed to over 600.00 at 63 months with everything he was trying to add on. The finance department only cared about selling all the extra warranties and maintenance plans to the point he started talking about how bad Toyota reliability is. I explained to the finance person my current car was built by Toyota in 2004 and I put 275,000 miles on it. In 20 years I have never broke down and that was the reason I was buying a Toyota. More

It was a pleasure doing business with both John Gause and Panama City Toyota. Buying a new car is never fun - going in you expect to have a sales rep try to sell you what you don’t want.
