All of the service advisors were incredibly friendly. However, I did not have a pleasant experience. I went here for the first time a few weeks ago for an oil change and service. Before I left with my tr However, I did not have a pleasant experience. I went here for the first time a few weeks ago for an oil change and service. Before I left with my truck an advisor said that I had an oil leak. I thought it was strange because I have never noticed it before. I have never seen it smelled anything, but it is a 2011 GMC Truck so I thought maybe it wasn’t a major issue. 2 days later my check engine light had come on. Christmas and Holidays were coming up so I scheduled it as soon as possible for an appointment to diagnose the issue. Upon arrival I was pleasantly greeted and explained what they would do, and if the issue was beyond the quoted price of just under $200 they would check with me before proceeding. I was also told they were 2 techs down so it may be awhile. The diagnostics were completed fairly quickly and it turns out it was an oil pressure sensor/switch issue. I was now being quoted over $800 and told it would take 3 and a half hours to complete. This would include the sensor/switch, oil pressure sensor filter, and a new “premium oil filter” as they put it. Plus the labor charge. Here were my concerns: 1. It took exactly the amount of time they said it would. This would normally make people happy, but I was quoted for labor charges of 3.5 hours and I was given my truck back at exactly 3.5 hours. This made me feel very much like they were going to charge me that price regardless if it was less time to complete the job or not. I felt like my truck was held hostage just to justify the charge, not that they worked on it for 3.5 hours. 2. The advisor was very dismissive of my concerns that this happened 2 days after my oil change. I also asked why I needed a different oil filter if I just received a new one last visit. He stated trucks my age need it, and when I asked why it wasn’t used the first visit he was also dismissive and did not have an answer. I also had concerns about the labor time, inspection process during oil changes and maintenance, and prices. 3. My third concern was how the price of these parts compared to the labor charges were astronomical. Some of my concerns were addressed when I asked another advisor Jason if the price seemed right. I have a friend that works at this location and he told me this individual is his go to guy. Jason told me he would look at my ticket and speak to my advisor and he did. Overall I was happy with politeness of the advisors and employees. I am not happy with my experience, I felt very taken advantage of and felt like there was dishonesty. Something lesser but important to me was this visit as well as my first visit I was not offered a car wash. I don’t know if this is reserved for members or individuals who have purchased at the dealership, but I heard the advisors ask several people at both of my visits but I was not asked or offered. I was hoping this would be my new service center for my Truck. I like going to authorized service centers, but I can’t go somewhere that I do not trust. More
